I've been a content creator all of my life. The first time I made a video about anything was in 1984. I've never stopped filming and editing since then, although the context has changed throughout my career (television, corporate, commercial, documentary, RU-vid, etc.).
Now I have the time and freedom in my life to make the kind of videos that I want to make, which usually involve travel by motorcycle and/or 4x4 van, and life as a the owner of a small vintage motel in Bisbee, Arizona. All of this is made much easier with the support of my incredible partner and muse, Eva.
Join me and I will show you great roads, beautiful destinations and epic campsites. We might learn a little bit about the world around us and have a good drink at the end of the day.

I use a 110cc Chinese knock-off bike down here in Mexico, fully loaded in the open road. 9 Hrs a day are enough to cover 300 miles with 3 gallons of gasoline. Tire selection is important though, I replaced the tires with Michelin ones. Change the oil every 1,000 miles, clean and oil the chain after every ride.
Every road in calif is great. I've covered a lot of the sierras, the valley and the coastal range. Havnt met a road I didnt like. I think you need to find another hobby.
It's so funny that I subscribed you even without watching a single video. I felt you were good at creating these videos, maybe it's an energy. Love this man
Sterling, your videos are informative, entertaining, interesting and really appreciate the work you do. Heading into NEBDR with the bro next month on our 125s loaded. This was encouraging!! Hope to ride Bisbee next May
good day, could you please advise me on the settings for the dji osmo action 4 for traveling and riding a motorcycle even on light terrain, I can also set it manually, I would like it to be more colorful. video and I wouldn't have to edit anymore thank you
You might try the normal color profile as opposed to the D log M profile. That way you won’t have to do as much color correcting. Unfortunately, there’s no way to get around the editing.
Good vid Sterling. Like those bikes. Reminds me of times when that was pretty much all we had. Make the most of them and roll on. Life is an adventure.
I might have missed it but I'm curious what your motivation is for taking the 125 on a big trip rather than one of your bigger bikes. No judgment here, everyone should ride whatever they want, but I am curious.
Curiosity, I want to see what it is capable of and how it will do. I’ve been impressed with it for smaller rides and just wanted to see what it would be like on a bigger ride.
Either one. If you are sticking to the pavement and going through more urban environments, I would go with a hardpanniers. If you are going off-road and more likely to tip over, I would go with the soft luggage.
Sterling, I’m wondering what you think the average mpg would be on your GS, under the same parameters as your 20 mph on the Honda 125, as an apples-to-apples comparison. Thanks, and looking forward to your upcoming ride video/s!
@@SterlingNoren mpg or mph? I’m wondering about your average miles per hour traveling on the GS, when you take into consideration riding, film making, etc. That’s what you seemed to be measuring on the Honda 125, with the 20 mph figure.
I'm glad you were able to take great drone shots. Thanks for all the effort to make a nice seamless journey video. I have heard of people being hassled/restricted for where they fly, so I'm glad you got this.
I didn't find the scenery monotonous at all. The trash was regrettable but, I felt the scenery was very nice. I absolutely love your channel. Surely you must be on your way to a quarter million subscribers if you keep going.
That trail is the CT125s element...it's not the most comfy ride on it but it will take you just bout anywhere the big ones won't...Awesome review Sterling..you're the best
Very cool, Sterling! I'm looking at some used Zegas for my new old bike! I hope to get back out there more!! Is this the bike you were one when we talked at Expo??
Truly enjoy everyone of your video's. I have learned so much as well. Looking forward to this one especially as I would like a little bike as well. Thanks for sharing.
I noticed an error in the side by side riding through the village at dusk footages (2 of them). In the first scene the buildings passing on the left were clear on the DJI, with the gopro buildings were blurry and it seemed image stabilisation was off. even though 'rocksteady' was reported on the screen In the second footage, which seemed to be the identical footage, demonstrating low-light conditions, the camera names were swapped around. Oops.
RE: your “big camera” comments. I think your movies are going to be viewed by folks who dont know the difference between the Fuji and GoPro. Some may know but dont care. Im an amateur photographer and Id consider myself capable with a my Nikon D500. Im thinking of selling all of that gear because it doesn’t make sense on a regular trip on a cycle or in my 4x4. My 14Pro takes a damn good shot and good enough to show family and friends and put on a website. Just MO. Enjoying this series very much. You did a good job no matter what cameras you used.
Super! My first bike was a 1972 Honda CT 70 dual sport (which looks similar to this) and it hauled me and my dad up some gnarly off-road mountains, through swamps and on the pavement! That little bike has sparked a lifetime of curiosity and adventure. Now I'm keeping my eyes open for a 125 like this for the farm! Question: What are the two black carrying cases you've got strapped to your engine bars? I looked on your Amazon site but couldn't find them. I would love to have something easily accessible to strap to my Norden 901 to carry my water bottles near the front of my bike. Thanks.
