Let’s gooooooo 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 PS. Super glad you enjoyed the bike man, it was a pleasure as always! Note to self: Stop letting Derek ride your bikes so you don't feel so slow 😂 Lmao you were ripping it man can't wait to see the pics when you go get one 😂
I have a 2020 yz250f and the power on that bike is insane stock. On top of it you can tune the bike from your phone to however you like and switch the modes you have set from the button on the handlebars. Best bike I have ever owned
I have the same bike and totally agree. I felt comfortable immediately on it and the suspension soaks up anything you throw at it. It's super stable even if you make a small mistake and I live the width of it. I feel like I can grip it better coming into corners than I can on my Honda. Great video though man I'd love to see you on one of your own yz's
Appreciate the comments Dereck. I'm at around the same ability and weight as you, and I'm seriously considering buying one of these! Your insight is super helpful :)
Nothing sounds like a Yamaha 4T...amazing bark w those machines! Love your vids man. Buying some of your gear for my son and I. Keep up the great work!
@@DerekHallman i do not know. That would be a very tough decision. I think if i had not already had the husky probably. A YZ250f with a 350 motor would be hard to beat. I think i have just gotten spoiled with the Austrian bikes. Between the brembo brake, hydro clutch, and just overall attention to detail they are hard to beat.
Unless you are and A class racer fully maxing out the power of a 250f, I don't think anyone NEEDS a 450. This YZ250F has plenty of power for all situations. Probably the perfect engine package in my opinion.
@@DerekHallman Wow thanks bro, you've sold me. I'll go the 250f route then. Now for the next big question. Crf or YZ? I was originally going with the crf but you might have influenced a change to YZ.
@@freddybob807 I would go with the YZ, I have tried both, the crf corners very well compared to the YZ but the frame is pretty stiff and that makes you feel all the bumps on the track which i personally don't like. but the yz is just great, but go try both if you can. :)
im getting a dirt bike soon for my birth day and im super excited and i have found some pretty cool spots to ride it around :) i love dirt bikes they are so cool and so much fun to ride i used to have a super fast one but my sister and dad broke it trying to ride it but now im getting a new one :)) i love love your vids they are so cool and awesome :))
So fucking sick. The footage is so clean too. I"m a noob looking for a first bike and it was the Husqvarna 350 or the yzf250. I think I will go the yam route !
Hi Wayne thanks for the nice comment. I don't know if I have just one favorite dirt bike. I like many for different reasons. Hope you have a great day also!
@@DerekHallman ive been looking for gps lap tracker things, but another way to do it would to actually use your footage. Just measure the time during editing.
Haha "it was". Those Yamaha's are sick. Probably the best 250 on the market right now. I flooded my 2016 with the airbox on the front because of the intake. Not a great design for big puddles.
@@DerekHallman main reason was I wanted a 2 stroke. Even after mods, ECU maps, etc., the WR wasn't the bike for me. Good bike, but not for technical enduro.
I've rode a couple yeah! I'd say my favorites are my 2019 KTM 150 SX, this 2022 Yamaha YZ250F, and a 2003 Honda CR250R I rode last summer. I really enjoyed my friend Cody's 2021 CRF250R but now that I've rode this YZ I think I'd choose that if I were to get a 250F. You still riding your 18 KTM 250 SX?
Derek I had a 2003 Honda crf450 im 5'9 and close to the same weight as you prob a lil less. I've been riding forever but haven't ridden in a lil bit, looking to get back into it. I think the 2 stroke 250 beats you up to much so if prob go for the 4 stroke. What are you thoughts on the kx250f vs the yz250f I sat on both but haven't ridden either the kx felt more nimble. I'm just concerned if I bought a 250 in a month I'm gonna wish I went with the 450. So if you had to choose yz250 2 stroke, yz250f , kx250f, crf250f, or straight to the 450?
Tough choice because I really like how light the 150 is. It's easy to flick around in tight woods. The smooth torque of the yz250f would be really useful though. I'd probably pick my 150 in the trails.
I like it a lot more than my old kx250f. Suspension was better and the YZ motor had way more torque. I think the old KX might have had more top end power though.
