Not sure of your budget and if your making payments or straight out buying it. Brand new 400 is around 5 or 6k and you get a warranty with it. I got no issues with buying used if the previous owner took care of it and you get a good deal. They are not power restricted just low cc however this one is on the high end of the beginner bikes so PLENTY of power.

I started on the GSXR 600.. so as of right now no need to upgrade to anything... ever lol.

I've had zero Motorcycle experience before aside from 125CC scooters. This thing is 100% safe for beginners because: 1. the throttle pull is so long. if you're not an expert at how to hold the throttle, which you will be if you're just starting out, you'll never be in potential trouble. But do understand that even if you're riding a kid's bicycle you can still end up in critical condition depending on the accident so just be careful. 2. because of #1, your powerband is equivalent to that of a Honda Civic, I own a 2004 Civic and at 50% throttle it pulls exactly like my civic so it's quite safe. *The moment you exceed that though, you're riding a Mustang. So again, be careful* 3. It's one of the lighter beginner (250-400cc) class bikes at 164kg. So you can learn how to handle it with your own arms and legs on your driveway --------- 9 mos into ownership and I'm perfectly happy. Agree with the uploader, it's kinda hard to listen to the RPMs on the stock exhaust but for your first month of riding just hold your money and decide what to "upgrade" after you've gotten to learn more about your bike. I did, however, reinstall the stock muffler because there's just something magical about listening to your engine's raw metal at 7000RPM and up. It feels so good compared to the "doko-doko-doko-doko" you hear from custom slip-ons

It's a very unique color that you don't see it on the road often like you do with your typical BLACK and RED sport bikes.

Just got one two weeks ago, first time rider as well. It’s so fun, I’m already taking it to work. The exhaust was the first thing that I changed too. You’re going to do well.

@@deetheory1533 First thing we changed was the exhaust. Next we are doing a fender eliminator kit.

Ya so the 400 is classified as a beginner bike. Top speed still over 100mph and has plenty of power. You can bring back the throttle all the way and its not going to buck you off. If I try that with my bike bringing the throttle all the way back I'm flying.

Ya less horse power around 40 or so where mine is over 100.

Go by the feel and sound the motorcycle gives off. You will know you are in too high of a gear when you feel a loss of power and start to feel vibration, you will also hear the engine kind of make a loping sound and your RPM will likely be below 3000-2500 RPM at that point. You can also downshift, at any point, if you want to accelerate quicker. Keep your downshifts smooth, gradually let off the clutch, never quickly release the clutch downshifting. Practice, you will get it! I hope this helps. I

Ya MPG is amazing on the Ninja 400. Just keep in mind weight / when you shift / how you ride effect the MPG.

Sup brother! You can sit another person on the back but wouldn't want to till your 100% comfortable and an experience rider. You need a PERMIT in the US before riding so just the written test to start. Bike was around 6k after taxes correct. It's very easy to learn if you want I can make a HOW TO RIDE a motorcycle video that teaches you every thing from the basics to shifting up and down.

@@SunGymLive Thank you for answering my questions. I'm from New York so definitely I need that motorcycle permit. I have to take a written multiple question test and pass with a 80% accuracy. I don't know if you know but they also have fully automatic Ninja 200 cc street legal motorcycle. I checked on some website but I rather learn the 6 speed way. Is the Kawasaki ninja 400 big and heavy? Would I fit good if I'm 5' 8 and slim? Is it hard to keep the bike balance when you ride it? That would be cool if you do a video explaining how to ride a motorcycle I can learn a lot of things. I wish it was in person to get the hand on training. I always wanted to learn but was scared since I been in a car accident that almost took my life. My mother always tell me if you try doing that bike riding thing you asking to get killed. Lol People drive crazy in New York so that prevent me from doing it. I do have a 49cc 2 engine pocket bike. I ride it a few times a few years back but it's not street legal and I think the battery and charger not working. It's not that small I should fix it and practice a little with that bike even tho it's automatic. Sorry for asking so much questions and bothering you.

@@louisgabrielle2154 Sup brother!!! Ya I would shoot for the Ninja 400. Very LIGHT bike. My wife is 5`3 and she can almost flat foot it. So your height and being slim is perfectly fine. You will 100% be able to flat foot it. BALANCE on the bike will be easy. I will make the ' HOW TO RIDE ' video and post it in a few days for you brother!!!!

@@SunGymLive I checked a few videos you did regarding the Kawasaki ninja 400 and you teaching a girl. I'm assuming that's your wife. I thought she was like my height or taller she looks tall on the video. Wow she looks perfect on the bike and she is only 5'3 I guess the bike would be very good for me. You teach really good a few minutes teaching her and by the end of the video she was like a pro but then again she is very smart. Now a days girls are super smart and do the same as guys or better. BUT WHEN YOU GET THERE and you see a shit load of fees like shipping fee / docing fee / fee for this fee for that then tax and blah blah blah it end up being 7k. Ours was purchased brand new in South Carolina.
