Crazy to hear how quickly that thing revs. Seems instantaneous… cannot wait for next year!!! Ordered 165 for the first time hoping I don’t regret the track length having always been a 155 guy. Gonna have 2 weapons on board now with the 9R and the boost. Let’s go!!!
Sweet sled . I see your sporting the Amish beard Dan the man. Your gonna get shunned using power machines hahaha. Joking. Love the vids and great way of explaining the way of the sled and what it can do.
Thanks for the review........really looking forward to getting the KHAOS 9R 165 I snow checked. Been riding turbos the last three years and yes they do require more effort to ride, so a light weight N/A sled will be a welcome change.
Dan is a Stud. Capital S Stud. He and Irena are two of the best people you'll ever meet. He's knowledgeable and great at what he does, lives have been and will be saved thanks to NXT LVL.
Just what I needed!!! Some 9R candy. Thanks for posting! Excited to have that quick revving beast in my hands. Now I will cross my fingers that Polaris will get them too us in time????????
I got one coming and I'm excited to write it. I'm curious do you have any idea why the hood on these matrix's are so heavy ? I have a 22 and a 23 coming coming and the hood is easily twice as heavy as my 2020 Khaos.
I picked up my new snow checked R9 155 RMK PRO \Slash sled 12/29/2022 the next morning went out for the first ride with my buddy's unfortunately the engine locked up at 6.4 miles. My first thought was it seized but turns out the crank broke. I got it back to town in time for the dealer to order a new complete engine red label. So that problem is being takin care of thanks to the dealer and Polaris. We removed the belt and towed the sled back to the tow vehicle and the track was not turning at all for the first mile or so. In the 6.4 miles I rode the sled I noticed the brake lever had no free play at all. Iam sure the track was not meted to the high fax running in 6 inches of powder. I think the lack of free play on the brake lever was causing the brake to drag not letting the track to turn. Even after that I thing I am going to love this sled. Any thoughts out there on the 2 problems Iam having???
im running an older sled that doesnt have an oil tank, what are some tips for mixing and running an older sled, havnt seen much on youtube on this topic
I've ridden this season on a 9R 155 Khaos, stock. Snappy and nimble. Compared to same in 165, short track handling is on another level. PNW, 205 lbs, 6th poo. So easy to get and hold an edge, you will level up. Get one.
I can’t wait to get mine. One comment though… sounds like (literally on the video) Polaris has not fixed the rattling pull rope handle. One of my big pet peeves on my current 850. Thanks for the vids Dan! Keep it up!
You know that 9R would look pretty good coming off a nice sized kicker doing a backflip…If only there was someone at next level with that kind of experience that has done it before on an m8 or something…😮
Hey dan i am a new rider im am 13 finally getting a feel for my sled and your videos have helped alot with my progression as a rider i was wondering if you guys were going to make a video for new riders in deep snow and sled control in deep snow i think that it would be great for new riders like me and many others🤟🤘
Sounds great, but how reliable will it be? Heard these are or have been having issues. I've seen Polaris to be about the least reliable, at least in the sxs's and atvs. If Polaris could build reliable toys I'd get one of these. Just have a hard time trusting anything Polaris makes.
Dan it seems like polaris is only listening to you young guys now, with the short track short lug sleds. They canceled the track that works best in the steep and deep for me. Ask them not to forget the rest of the market that can't ride like you. So what if they didn't sell a lot of them. That's what snow check is for.
Picked up my 9 today and very disappointed that it did not come with the cobra pull cord like it was advertised when I snow checked it. Also, the clutch weights weren't on it because they're waiting on those to come in and the secondary clutch adjustment bolt not in yet either! Probaly won't ever snow check a Polaris again but can't wait to ride it!
