"They're stopping their horse from doing things instead of asking their horse to do things." That's really good stuff.

This is one lucky stallion to have his first lessons be with you. He's going to have such a soft gentle mouth & no confusion, because of you. I only hope his owner/rider can continue in this way. Kudos, to both of you.

Golden information and your explanations are so easy to understand. Watching you riding this horse and seeing how far he's come is pure magic.

Hi Warwick, I really enjoyed you working with this young stallion. I don't own a horse but I can see how much this young boy has learned already from you.

Ha! This is the kind of thing I did with my Bear:) I like my horse to have some freedom and responsibility. Because of this he's very confident and happy to go anywhere and our rides are like a two way conversation and very light. So much better than those "trained" with constant harassment and suffocating "control". Love these videos:)

Thanks for the videos Warwick, you've totally transformed my relationship with my once pushy, dangerous mare. She's a doll now!

Your videos are really easy to understand! I am trying some of your techniques on my young horse and he responds quite well! Thank you!

I noticed that you did not focus on his initial bad behavior; you just had him learn what was good behavior. Great success very quickly

I dont consider it bad behaviour, so its easy to ignore

Thank you Warwick this is so useful! The young warmblood I am riding is also learning to steer and he does so well most of the time and then pulls me over to where he wants to go, I'm going to try your method!

although 3 is a bit too young for riding, I can tolerate this work. Its gentle and works with the horse as a full partner. Good work. My mare is 5 and we are just at the beginning

In the edit set your video sound to "pan" zero - it'll come through both channels.... and buy a shotgun mic as well as a radio mic to give you more choices in the edit. These videos though are so helpful, thanks very much for the great tips.

My horse has a twisted front right hoof. Was born with it. Should I only canter him on the right lead? So it makes it easier for him? Because he won't go left at all. I just dobt want to damage his twisted foot

Same here. Sometimes i'll get the left speaker only, other times both and occasionally nothing or drop outs. I know he does voice overs, but i'm sure he has a microphone on sometimes? The wind, clothes rubbing on the mic, other noises etc. could be what's making the sound goofy. Just a guess. Absolutely love his videos btw. 😁

+Vertigo I think also he's riding a little too far from the camera, past the range of the microphone transmitter.

Sort your Mic out Warwick! Sound is terrible. But, as ever, your riding and thoughts are amazing.

how long do you think you should stay on this exercise 2-3 days?
@WarwickSchiller
@WarwickSchiller 7 лет назад
Yes, and then start every session after that by checking to see if that is still there before adding everything else.

tha last 3 minutes are so CRUCIAL to so many riders I see making this mistake!!!! Tell him to GO somewhere, instead of saying DO NOT go somewhere. SO TRUE!

I think your mic might not be in a good place. When you canter sound gets very fuzzy and inaudible like it is rubbing against your clothing?
