Hi Mountain Man Mike! Thanks for bringing us along for your first snow run this season. Always enjoy road running with you. Keep fighting off that crud and stay safe out on the roads.
Great video! My old stomping grounds! I use to work in Park City and lived in SLC. And by-the-way I-80 down that hill is very dangerous hill! Seen many accident and the deer are all over the place too. Right past the summit they now have a bridge for animals to cross over!
Hello from Summer in Queensland, Australia. I love these trips through the snow with you. Living in the sub-tropics we don't get snow and only have a frost a few days a year. Stay safe.
Glad you're back I've missed that seat .i like the snow because i dont have to drive in it .be safe out there and thanks for all you do. I hope that seat has a heater to keep me warm .
Great to have some new videos. I love doing work with your videos on. We are both working while you drive. I know it’s a lot of work to do these. Very appreciative!!!
Thank you, Mike Leaving Seattle Saturday to I-5 it to 10 and on to Comfort TX to deliver three cats. Son and DIL got their house and now they get their cats. Dually with a slide in, time with my wife. I could watch your vids for hours.
Had our first snow yesterday, needed to go across town, (quite hilly) picked the flattest rout, and saw cars stuck on each hill I decided not to use. Car in front of me doing 5mph on glass like packed snow, no wonder they get stuck, barley enough momentum to keep it going even on the flat. Love your driving fastish but safe. thanks for another great ride.
I can remember a stormy spring night, westbound on 80 in Nebraska. SW winds pushing 45 mph, gusting to over 60 and I was light. Trailer was across the white line while the tractor was in the lane. Finally got off the road and parked behind a closed Wendy's to get out of the wind, until the storms passed.
Well Mike had you been across here in the lower UK , I am guessing like the other stranded motorists you would not have been travelling very much, as thick snow caused untold trucks and cars to simply pull in and park up as best they could , as conditions worsened by the mile. That was two days ago 13th December '22 when the UK came to almost a complete standstill and there is more to come. Cheers Mike for showing us your expertise !!
@@patrickmulligan7994 I guess so, my girlfriend who is in the UK said all trains and busses were cancelled all day Monday due to frost and snow. Trains had no traction on the icy rails. It is interesting how little snow can cause such issues in places that do not usually experience it.
Thanks for taking us with you today!! I enjoy your rides no matter where you are going or what the weather is doing!! I hope you have a safe trip to Farmington NM and back!! 🤗🤗☃️⛄️❄️
Evanston WY. I80 closure yesterday was interesting. Must of been close to 2000 of you guys. Three trucks deep on every ramp farther than the eye could see.
Hey Guy, load up on vitamin C, zinc, and garlic ! Garlic is considered to be an old German penicillin remedy for colds ! It's best if you can take it just as you feel your symptoms coming on ! Best of luck, wishing you the best "Merry Christmas &"Happy New Year! " to you and yours alike ! 🎄❤️🎄
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years. You do a great job telling what is going on. You’re driving skills are some of the best. Hope you have a great trip and no problems. Enjoy your video very much. Be safe.
That's like the the weather that we just got yesterday and today cold here in Farmington Mo please be careful and be safe out there to your friend Marian CoX from Farmington Mo
Hi. Mike i have been riding shot gun since 2016 i live in Canada we have a law in Canada no chain ups or studded tires. only in the province of BC that the drivers are trained to drive the mountains. I love a lot of your commentaries. ps. and your Favorite fishing holes. Be safe HAPPY HOLIDAY'S and New Year.
I like your style of driving....you don't like to hang about 😉. Great video, I'm guessing you've backed up one of those things before 😉😂 I do miss the grunt of those Volvo's, the last one I drove was an F10.....🇬🇧
Love it. Another great video. Hope we get to see the video of Moab and Farmington. Like the comment about deer at Meeker, surprised it wasn't elk. Hunting is good around Hamilton. Can't wait to see the next video. We got our first snow that will stay today in Iowa. A little bit icy. Be careful out there.
Hey Denise, way more deer accidents than Elk from Rifle to Meeker and west to Rangely. A slightly sick joke here goes "Why do deer always come to the side of the road to die?"
Yup another joke we get here is"At what elevation do deer turn into Elk?". Deer at dusk and early morning, elk late at night. Especially from Meeker north through Hamilton and on to Craig. Used to be the best elk hunting in Colorado. First saw RIDING SHOTGUN on a video he did 3 years ago coming through and stopping in Steamboat then through Meeker and on to Grand Junction. Wen t by the house i was raised in. The rest is history. d
Jack Ball so you know the Waddle Creek area? The ranch on Waddle Creek has been in my cousin's family since 1902. The family has been in NW Colorado since 1879 when they ran a freighting business from Meeker to Rawlins. A little different than the trips Riding Shotgun makes today.
Hey Denise never been in that part of the country but been past the turn off from CO Rd 317 going to jobs past Pagoda. Our family came into the country in the 1880s and ended up building the Meeker Hotel. The Harp family had a stage line from Rifle to Meeker but I never thought about going north except I knew my family came south from the railroad in WY
Good Morning Good Morning MMM!🤠 Nice to hear from you again more often!! Oh,the first Snow in the neighborhood! Have Fun on the snowy Roads and stay cool and proof! Oha,a Swift Truck in Snow!!! There is lots of crude oil in and around Roosevelt UT like 100 miles on Salt Lake City and there is a refinery inSLC. Those guys run night and day on US 40.
good day Sir! I’m a subscriber I’ve seen vids where the experienced truckers say “there is no way to safely drive on black ice…” and they say shut it down because tires and skill don’t matter with black ice. 1. You agree?? 2. What highway / freeway is MOST dangerous in winter in your opinion please? 3. What do you consider a “light load” ? Thank ya!
Mike, have u ever though of doing live broadcasts from the cab as you're driving from pickup location to drop-off location sim to other truck driver vloggers?
