Back in the winter of 2007/08, I had a co-worker that had to travel north of Mirabel, Canada for cold weather jet engine testing. He had horror stories about the oil for the engine turning into pudding and having to cram it down the funnel with a metal rod - or the time he got attacked by the "Canadian Trap Door Alligator" (stepping off the edge of the packed snow and sinking over his head into the powdery snow.) But he did come back with a really cool set of fur gloves and a fur hat that he bought from a little old Native American lady.
Dang that's some snow! We had an ice storm come through and I'd rather have 8" of snow than 1" of ice! Everything is shut down here in the metro. I love these videos of you clearing out your driveway!
We enjoyed the process of clearing the snow. Last weekend we had 15inches on the ground. It's gone now, warmed up and started raining. Will be in the 50s this weekend. Enjoy it while you can.
Jim I can't explain how but these videos always put a huge smile on my face. Guess it's the inner kid in me. Like someone said we just had ice here and I would much rather have the snow. Thx for the vid and take care
Hi Jim. I know you gave a heartfelt sigh when you saw eight inches of snow but it does look lovely and you have chosen a beautiful spot to live. I bet the tractor is one of your best purchases next to your lathe 🌞
I have been helping out my Dad since middle of December, he broke his knee cap. We had a week of -30 then warmed up to snow. I'm so tired of shoveling. Now +2 and getting warmer. The melt is on. Hopefully you don't get to much.
So jealous!! We have been totally robbed this year...hardly any snow at all, and waaaayyy too warm...BOOOO!!! That mountain of yours is gonna be there until June! 😂
That was cool in more ways than one, literally! I will never complain about what little snow we get (it was 4 inches here). 😂 Only one thing missing, the snow angel! 🤣
Hi Jim. I like plowing like you and pretending I am dumping pay dirt like Parker. lol. I haven’t had to plow yet here in SE Michigan. We have a few inches right now, but supposed to warm up in a few days and stay warm. 🤷🏻♂️ they are saying maybe one more cold spell is it. Also, have you thought about putting a blade on the back?
I'm on the California coast and snow is rare. Never like what you have. So it's fun to watch. We got some rain which is wonderful - makes the hills green instead of yellow.
Hi, just been watching all your previous videos, and I have to say the long leaf pinecone with periwinkle resin is gorgeous. You have me completely hooked.
Good job, Jim. Thanks for the video. At least you won't have to move that same snow again or have to dispose of it - it will just disappear when it warms up a bit.
Woohoo you bloody little ripper Jim thanks for sharing the snow with us. Considering it was 37 degrees Celsius here yesterday. Felt like 42 stinking bloody HOT. Keep the dream alive son Aussie Aussie Aussie GDAY MATE from brisbane Australia.
I feel both freezing and sweaty watching you work out in that snow! That tractor is worth its' weight in gold I think. Hope you got something nice and warm to drink when you got back inside. Take care!
We have had freezing cold 🥶 temps for many days. Now we are getting freezing rain. Would much rather have 8 inches of snow. Thanks for sharing. Take care.
The joys of living in Canada. Bought a new snowblower and have only been able to use it once. Barely snowed so far this winter in Toronto. Designer epoxy
I live in South Dakota (not too far from Canada) and I like how the universal issue with snow is "where the heck do I put it all?" How long did all that take with the tractor?
Boy, that's a lot of snow. I live in Louisiana. If you add up all the snow I've seen in my 71 years of life, it would not come even close to that much snow. Brrrrr.
Snow like this is why i left the midwest at 18 and didn't return to my home state when i got tired of the traffic in California but moved two states further south from where i grew up. The heavest snow we ever got was less than a foot. And it's rare to have snow at all.
That sounds like an electric tractor Jim!! we need more diesel and more cowbell!! That thing would sound cool with a cow bell banging on it!! Old school back up alarm!! Hahaha!!
Hi 👋, Jim , This is just poxy snow, ⛄️ not epoxy snow, ⛄️ It won’t work, it’ll get too hot, and melt, I was looking forward to Kintsugi, But instead snow just more snow snow, more snow, ⛄️, Do you snow what you’re doing,, you are just giving us the runaround, 😂, in your driveway, are you using Artcast?, Or total boat., 😂,
You must have ESP, i was about to ask about the blower. Snow is beautiful when its freshly fallen, hwnging on the trees, etc. Then you have to shovel! I dont mind the shovelling actually, something about looking back and seeing what you uave accomplished.
Well, as a former Clevelander, I don't miss the snow...but it's pretty to look at! Here in Florida, we've had a cold snap. My heat pump works on water and where the water is sprayed out, all the trees were encased in ice. A winter wonderland.
Thats a cool video all i was thinking was how cool the back tyre pattern would look in a resin bowl and the way the lights lit up the snow with orange through it 😂🤍 thanks for sharing - wow thats alot if snow you got there
Ya know, that looks fun! I miss getting on my dad's John Deer and pushing the snow with the blade in the front. He usually made us kids shovel the walk ways. I miss the snow. And the other commeters were right a bowl, hollowform to look like a snow globe or sno effect would be super cool especially with the hyper shift and some white dye.
Fun times! And that's a big part of why I live on the Wet Coast! We have snow but nothing compared to you. I n Vancouver area they shut schools etc for two days due to snow and freezing rain. Where I grew up in north eastern BC that would be a sign going to school day! LOL happy shovelling!
Good thing you have a tractor Jim! That’s an impressive snowfall you got. I’m in Pennsylvania, we got almost 5” the other day. Now it’s starting to melt.
