First Southern 455s for Scrap

On 4th May 2022 the first pair of Southern class 455 EMUs left Stewarts Lane depot to be scrapped at Sims, Newport.
Units 455838 & 839 are seen being formed up into a train at Stewarts Lane, hauled by 47727 using translator vehicles 64664 & 64707, then heading off on their final journey in Battersea, south London.

Can I ask, is that barrier coach a class 508? Wonder if it's still got an old interior or something 🤔

Yes, class 508. There are some old seats inside, but some have been removed to make way for control equipment and a Diesel engine to provide power.

@@trevormstone Poor other classes has similar coach body like Classes 317,318,319,320,321,322 and also early 2nd generation DMUs (Class 150-156). Except Class 317 has two vehicles saved (driving and tailor) for Anglia. And Class 457 driving saved (ex-Class 210) too. I saw Wiki about Class 455 913’s status is STORED. Is that mean that motor coach convert back to Class 457/210 2nd driving cab and reunion with original driving?
