Ive never seen that done before.We used to tow it to start it.My dad was afraid of using the crank he had seen too many people with broken arms from cranking machinery.
I had the back rims off at the time so I had to say no go to pulling it off. Starting one off the belt is pretty simple and effective though. A whole lot better than trying to hand crank that old C.
