What swap are you planning to swap in there? I'm in Portland Oregon and I'm going to drop in a 2004 accord ex k24a4/apg6 drive train and do my absolute best to keep the CEL off and run it on stock immobilizer and stuff. I have a 1996 prelude bb2 that is presently a flawless 96 bb1 clone mechanically. I decided imctaking that swap and putting it into my 2001 E.B.P. BB6 SH w/ 96 vtec ecu just to have THAT car run with no C.E.L. and ditch/preserve the 130k O.G. matching train in it. Honda gang!

@@darbymcbride41 I wanted to do a k24a2 out of the tsx, but since time has passed and ran into some complications, I ended up doing a h23a mystery blue top with a LSD transmission. Being in California, swap laws here are annoying and strict. I have a 95 lude special edition that came auto and I converted it to manual. I was fortunate to grab one that came with a type s head from the factory. I am running a usdm p13 ecu and it responds very well with the motor. Especially, if you commute on the freeway a lot, it's a good ECU to run in my opinion. VTEC is very aggressive, torque is amazing and you surely can have some fun with it.

I dig that. Sounds very nice. The k24a4 swap I received was dropped out of my buddies car prior to it being scrapped and was free to me. We drove it to it's death. Had it not been for the fact it was free I wouldn't really have googly eyes about doing the swap. I personally want my prelude to be a romp toy and all I really am going to prioritize before dropping it in there is probably a 4.7 fd swap and an lsd. I haven't calculated mph with the 4.3 to 4.7 fd in APG6 per Zeal yet or considered what fitment and wheel diameter or anything. I feel like it'd be "fair" and hopefully hold up to constant and deliberate attempts to send that k24a4 to the moon. I have a k24a rbb chilling and when I find the cash to kpro or better I'll slap it in there. I've got an h22a type s longblock and m2s4 w/ m-factory. Link g4x plug in obd1 civic link. Ported and gutted and welded egr/iab shaft and 70mm tb p13 intake, ati damper, boundary race cnc oil pump, moroso baffled pan, rosko iacv remote mounted, on rdx 410's.... sits.... I don't use it. I decided that since my sh came 100% stock that I'll respect its integrity and that being said it'll see any number of 3 h series swaps I have around. The bb2 will see any number of the 4 k series vtec longblocks I have kicking. I have a complete ef k swap kitted together featuring k20z3/ep3 5spd. That's gonna be a riot.

@@darbymcbride41 any write ups on the forum about the wiring etc? In the future, I may think about still going to k24a2. I love the H motor, it's getting harder to get parts for it let alone just finding h22a1 injectors. I had bought "new injectors" online and they didn't hold the right threshold, costing a few days because the motor was idling very low and sporadically. It had me thinking it was a icav, a vac leak, or I picked up a messed up motor.

@@PatrickVerrettI have a H23 vtec thats on a base line tune I think p28 ecu chipped but if I remember correctly, something with the cam position sensor or the valves going, but mechanic said it might be cheaper for a k swap? How much ballpark was all the parts? Thx dude love the car

@@PatrickVerrettidk if that’s even the problem that’s what mechanic told me it just stalls out when I’m stopped or bogs hard til i restart it, and it always starts but struggles. I can drive about 10-20km last time I drove it.

@@PatrickVerrett it looks great man does it fit well with no issues with the bumper cover on and does it fit a full size battery or a certain size?

@@crv_tom it only fits the 57dr like Integra style batteries and where I mounted it up a little higher I had to cut a piece underneath we the headlight bracket bits that’s just cuz I mounted mine up as high as I could just for my own piece of mind I’ll send you some pics on IG when my car comes back from paint to show you how high I mounted it
