First Start! Van Windshield Install - Custom VW Dune Buggy Build | ep2

Please subscribe to follow along, and let me know what you think in the comments below, or if you want to point out some huge errors I'm making.
First we install a custom cut Toyota Previa windshield into the VW Volkswagen Dune Buggy build. Dale from Choice Auto Glass masterfully matches the curve of the roll cage to make it fit. We move on to starting the rebuilt 1600cc Dual Port engine for the first time. We also are amped up to have the tires and rims and it. I cleaned up the wheels via wire bruising them.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy seeing it all come together.

I love your videos. I once stoped at your shop and spoke with a lady (who was already talking to another guy) she gave us permission to "check out" your stuff. My buddy being a huge fan of bpats loved your collection of boats. I however was in love with the kitcar build and the amphibious house boat. I just so happen to pass by one day wile in route to a jobsite (im a roofer by day) and I seen your house boat, I almost craped myself and tried my best to get the crew to stop in on the way back by. But no cigar. So my buddy and I made the drive after work. I never met you but i wish i had. I love the positive vides and the creations.

I made the very fist one piece door glass for cal. Look Volkswagen in 1973 we did chop to windshields. I loved doing custom cars the most.

You probably figured it out by now but that 34 pic 3 carb. You don't use the throttle stop screw to adjust the idle. It should barely touch. The big screw on the side is the air screw and the tiny one under it is the fuel screw. about 3 turns out for both to get it started. It will idle better and not have that flat spot bog every time you start out. Very cool buggy build.

Thank you! And yes, been having awesome times out on the lake with it. I'll definitely be posting more videos of it when it warms up here in New York. Definitely been slacking on amphibious houseboat video updates.

What can you tell us about the transaxle? Is it original to the 1600?

Hey! Love seeing your projects - they're awesome. Do you ever build amphibious vehicles for others? I'm in the UK and really struggling to find anyone who can build or convert a vehicle to be amphibious! Alex

Hi Alex, sorry I didn't see your comment sooner. I've never formally build one to order, but would be open to doing so, if you had something in mind. In the next few weeks I'm actually going to be uploading another video about my latest amphibious vehicle project.

At the moment I'm keen to get my monster truck converted. It's a Toyota Hilux Surf with a double chassis and super swampers. I have some fun ideas for how to convert it!
