I had a SVL 95 with a Diamond Disc Mulcher. I liked the disc mulcher for open areas like you’re doing here. Because it seemed to be faster to cover open areas as well as how the debris was taken in and mulched. I could see a drum mulcher for tight areas or pine rows. Have you tried a disc mulcher, or do you intend to for those big open jobs you do?

I used to run a diamond, the Cimaf runs better on the Kubota and produces a finer mulch in the same time or less. I’m interested in ShearEx, but if I buy a new head at any point it will either be ShearEx or another Cimaf

@@DigginDownSouth65 so a disc style mulcher is not even a thought for you, in addition to your drum style.

@@skoop7641 no, for the cost of a 2nd head it would have to provide a huge benefit to justify its purchase. In my experience I can control the debris discharge and size much better with the Cimaf and process just as quickly. I could see the benefit if I did mastication work for wildfire areas, but that work isn’t really near my area.
