Portillos is insanity. Love that place. It is THE place to go for tourists. You get all of the Chicago classics under one roof.

When I lived in Chicago, as a teen, we would stop at Portillos whenever we had a field trip. Back then it felt normal, but looking back, man were we lucky!

I ask for add grilled onions to the dipped italian beef. I also get a cup of extra gravy for pouring more gravy over any dry spots. Love Portillo’s, but it was even better when the original owner Portillo owned it. 😂

I went there for the first time and loved it! I got the vegetarian hot dog and onion rings. Yummy 😋

i use to manage for portillos the gravy aint made fresh lol they come in gallon jugs frozen and are heated inside the jugs in boiling water to the correct temperature for it to be ready to use
