First Striper hunt of 2024

First outing and on the hunt for striped bass.
Though reports haven’t been good I’ve been itching to get out and I would say it did not disappoint.
Condition were perfect (overcast sky’s, light rain, and not much wind)
We fished a out going tide with water temps at 54

All these people pissed… as long as you’re safely releasing the fish it doesn’t really matter at all, acting as if we aren’t all fishing the same damn tides anyway. Take out what you bring in and release the fish alive. We’re all doing this for the same reason😭

I’m not entitled to give specific location that’s apart of the fun with finding spots and learning the areas . I was using a 10’6 rod that I use for surf fishing I like the length for casting distance. With that said there are plenty of ppl around me fishing 8’ to 9’ poles

Slow down your cadence on the top water. give a little pause every now and then when they blow up on it. they'll come back.

@@getreeling4513 the damage has been done the screenshots have been shared in every group chat already. Youre making enemies on here without even trying. People you share tides with. Ive heard stories of “content creators” getting chased out of tackle shops on LI by old salts. Even if thats not true, what a shitty rumor huh? Again you can film your experiences and make a lot of friends on here. Guys like sea money expertly hide where they fish. Just a thought!
