I just wrote to Websters Dictionary and asked them to consider recognizing the term " I've been stucker than that before. " Of course, Im sure they will need to contact you and get depositions, affidavits, as well as soil samples and measurements to see the " extent of stuckiness" you attained. Good luck and congratulations on helping to bridge the language gap between Canadia and Ohio.
Manure wagon half unloaded, easiest way to get stuck! No weight on draw bar. Love your comment " Hay I got some good news there looks to be some moisture still in the ground this spring." I work on my parents farm and this year I am starting to do custom seeding and baling for framers. Have a good day.
I remember dad getting the spreader stuck & unloading it there in the field to lighten the load. The then big tractor was a Case 970 and the tugging tractor would have been a David Brown 1212. That's gotta be 40 or 45 years ago. We would then go back to the field when dry and pick it up & back in the spreader. I like your drone work, great shots.👍👍
When you were talking about and showing the two guys laying in the mud and the one guy was just mooo mooo moooo in his deep voice lol I love it!! Also love when the corrals are so fresh and so clean clean and you let the ladies back in…the way they run and jump around!!! Mooo moooo
When your Dad showed up in a tractor without duals I thought how is this going to go? It came out pretty easy so don’t think of it is being stuck, you just parked in a low spot.
Great video Jan , I can remember getting stuck on a Friends farm back in early 80s 3.5 miles from the farm we didn’t have the luxury like now a days we had 2 HP size 13s to get back to farm to have someone pull us out Lol . Love seeing your dad as always on your videos
This is another great video. Really enjoyed the drone shots. it's really clear you take good care of all your animals!! Thank you for taking the time to film what you do.
*"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago and the next best time is now"* I consider this to be best motivational quote I've heard in a very long time. But motivational quotes are useless if you don't practice what you preach*
Jan, my wife and I have watched and liked every single one of your videos. We really appreciate your commitment to putting out a nice video that is not only interesting but also very educational. I enjoyed the drone shots from today. Best of luck as your channel grows and I hope the fence replacement goes smoothly! WAY STUCKER 🤦🏻♂️ good one!
From all I can tell, there is NO way you could have foreseen the wet spot in the field. We all know your dad has been stuck from time to time as well. Great video Jan. God Bless you, your family and the farm.
I like your videos. It's nice to see the whole family involved in the farm and love seeing your interactions between you and your sisters. I believe a machine/shop shed is going up
We have all been stuck and rear discharge manure wagons are a nightmare as they empty to the rear and as they do the weight shifts off the back wheels of the tractor
Hey Jan,i loved the begining of this video, great don, good your dad helpt you to get out of the mud hehehe i never had expacted from that tractor, so strong, but nope .o well sometimes farming is not going you expacted. thanks for showing, see you next time,Moi...
I'm going to guess your getting a new automated milking system! And instead of saying dad I got the tractor stuck. You said guess what! There moisture in the soil! Then dad said your stuck arnt you! Lolol. Love it!
It was funny watching the all those cows peeping through the fence taking bets on 'will he' or 'won't he' get his socks wet! Is that a drainage problem in that spot? Good to see there is moisture in the fields! South Dakota would be envious! As far as the build, since you are in the middle of nowhere, I doubt you will be doing an 'ice cream parlor' or a cheese factory. So, I'm guessing another barn with robotic milking stations so you can build the herd and Jan can tour more farms!
Glad to see that one tractor is out of heart surgery and doing well definitely seems like it has plenty of power pulling the tractor out of the mud love your videos
Must be possible to reverse the load to the front of the wagon. I have 2 brands of manure spreaders and you can reverse the bottom chain to reverse the load. Nice when you are stuck or got the beaters blocked!
as a retired rancher cow calf which is fine for the young people but checking cows as 2 a.m. is not for us old ones but the woves also are looking enyou your video.
That's a generous giveaway. Crazy weather temperatures. My son and family live in Minot and they had something like 2 blizzards blow through in April. I'm in Southern California so that seems insane to me.
When you know you're getting stuck the best thing you can do is stop immediately, slam it in reverse, and back out. You stopped, got out , and although it makes for better videography, the spreader was likely still sinking more. Used to happen to me when I was disking with our 2 wheel drive tractor (with duels). I came very close, but I never did get stuck with it even once. My sister did twice and I can guarantee that she didn't stop and try to back out immediately. Note with the disks I would slam it in reverse and lift them the same time as I was starting to let out on the clutch.
Great video. I predict that you will upgrade the stockyard pens and modernize them, perhaps add two more pens with a floor area that is easier to muck out. Now Jan, if the prize morphs to an animal or animal by product, please include me out. Thanks and Bless you. Good to see your Dad.
Giveaway great idea. Don't have Instagram but I'd rather let someone younger who'll be more stoked to win it, win. You give the world allot more than a couple of awesome gift certificates. You make it a better place. There is more to what you do than meets the eye, unless one's willing to really to look deep, much more. Thank you my friend.
Excellent video Jan! Great cinematic shots of the spreader for the opening. I don't have instagram but appreciate your efforts to give back to your viewers. Good luck to all that enter! The Case walked the Versatile out easily considering how much manure weight was over the spreader's flotation tires. Dad's always make it look easy! I'm thinking you might be putting in an Auto-Digestate Biogas Plant if you can secure some government grants for the build. Sand settling lanes or improved manure management system with moisture separator might help with the sand build up in the lagoon and adding a second lagoon. Robotic milkers could be installed and the herd expanded with the new barn addition. Looking forward to seeing your new expansion. Well done!
Blame it on the GPS, but don't try passing that excuse off onto your Dad as the only reason. At least he had that ....gotcha smile... and was happy that you didn't spin down too far. You may have gotten out if your tractor had articulated (crab) steering, or just dug a deeper hole to try and crawl out of that soft spot.
