Thanks to Japanese for this great idea of making Bokashi/ natural fertiliser ☺️. Here in Norway it’s widespread and our soil in the kitchen garden is much better than before and natural. Love your videos and your energy 🙏🏻

I am so glad to know that my video reached Norway! Thank you so much. Our kitchen needs at least 1 bucket where we need to put those peels and egg shells. And if rice bran is available, mixing them together will make a truly great natural fertilizer for any soil. Thank you so much for watching.

@@livingwithgraceinjapan It’s my pleasure 🥰. I have 3 Bokashi containers for 100m2 garden and it’s enough. I don’t put in them citrus peels and egg shells I dried them and made them powder before mixed with other stuff in Bokashi 😁

I have lived half of my life in Japan and it's my first time to learn about Bokashi. I'm now living in the Philippines. Thanks for sharing your gardening methods. I will try to make my garden soil fertile again.

@@emilynhamada4767 , Hello, Emilyn. It can be easily done in the Philippines because we cook and eat rice. Do not throw the water you used washing your rice because it will supplement the bokashi pellet I used on my video. Thank you for watching and commenting on this video. It means a lot for the growth of this channel.

Oh, I'm glad you're here! How are you doing? Well, I hope. If you can find me a doctor who will cure my "plant addiction", please let me know. I'm terribly addicted to plants! Thank you, Friend.

Hi, I've watched a few of your videos this afternoon. I am also newly retired and accompanying my old mother in her house here in our country. I also do the yard as my physical therapy and exercise to avoid depression. I somehow successfully reduced mosquitos to almost zero level in areas where I spray a mixture of dishwashing liquid and chlorox on the grass and soil which I plan to uproot and clean. I experimented with other mixture but the mixed dishwashing liquid and chlorox is so effective in eliminating mosquitoes and other flying insects including worms and critters. I also use mosquito repelling lotion on my skin and over my clothes before gardening. I'm sharing this tip for eliminating mosquitos coming from the garden and entering the house. Best regards. I❤ Japan!

Thank you for your comment. I will try the ingredients that you have mentioned. I was told that this old house's tenant was a young man who did not clean well so I think the absorbed dirt causes mosquitos to live for long. I am cleaning the surroundings though with a spray in my hand. Thank you for the info. Please come and see how my yard is doing as it progresses day by day, season to season. - Grace

@@livingwithgraceinjapan Thank you for noticing my comment! I truly appreciate it. It's really hard to clean an old house and make it pretty again. I can relate so much. Especially if you are also taking care of a patient (Six months ago, I decided to stop working in the city to care for my mother who is 84 years old and alone in the house and I am so much overwhelmed by the things to clean and fix in the house). I discovered your channel yesterday, and said to myself, oh I am not alone experiencing this situation and still trying to make life beautiful and meaningful. I look forward to your videos full of graciousness.

Obsessed din ako sa pagtatanim, Maria. Mas better sana na sa mas probinsiya or inaka kami tumira. Kaso need ng husband ko ang accessible na lugar para sa pagpapa check niya. I drive him so ako rin ang mahihirapan kung malayo kami. Thank God merong ganitong lugar akong nakita. Pero may mga struggles din kasi luma na ang bahay na ito.

This is a one storey house. There are other rooms which I haven't shown yet. Old houses in Japan are often with small rooms divided by doors called fusuma. It is too hot here that I avoid going to a room without aircon.

Hello. I just keep on adding those peels and other kitchen waste and check if there are any liquid then mix the solid waste with the compost I have in the yard. Japan is too hot these days that I skipped the process showing on my video. Thank you for watching. Please come and visit this channel again.
