FIRST TAKE | "Alabama's chance CFB chances are OVER after loss to Tennessee" - Stephen A. & Finebaum ------------------------------------ Around the College Football.
Alabama's win over Georgia was huge, but that one win isn't enough to get in the playoffs. They have looked very mediocre since the Georgia game and I think LSU will beat them.
We have a lot to dissect here. PF chose Georgia to beat Bama, Texas to beat GA, and Mizzou to beat Texas AM. Saban called him out on Gameday last week for being a fraud. Lanning, oh yea DeBoer is 2-0 against him at Oregon. DeBoer is not Saban never pretended to be. That great team that Saban passed on is missing 26 starters from last season. Give the man a chance to build his team, the sky is not going to fall. I’ve been a Bama fan since Franchione was the head coach, I’ve seen a lot worse than DeBoer at Bama!
sounds about right. As long as it's January and they can't shut up about us i'm cool with it. Then again--SAS isn't someone i'd want to speak about UGA.
Anyone who is half way honest will say that this "decline" started 3 seasons ago when in each season they won 2 or 3 games with last minute walk offs that could have EASILY went the other way That is coincidently went NIL and the transfer portal started to take hold. Saban saw that didn't like it has said as much and this was the future he saw , He didn't want to be around for it and why he quit.
Stephen A is the biggest Prime cheerleader. Why? 8 wins is not coach of the year. The coach of the year so far is unquestionably the coach of Indiana. Indiana was 3-9 last year and more than likely going to the playoffs.
Even if their CFP chances are still alive, they got to get past Missouri and LSU. Not too mention the IronBowl, which you would think Bama would dominate but that game is crazy unpredictable every year.
When is Steven A never not disgusted? ESPN is going to pay this fool 100 mil? WTF is the world coming to when you pay a fool millions to give their subjective opinion?
Because they couldn't beat UT despite one of the 1st half offensive performances I've ever seen from the Vols! If Tennessee played bad instead of historically awful in the first half, it's a 20 plus point blowout Saturday. #GBO
Because they lost to Vanderbilt and almost lost to South Carolina on their way to losing to Tennessee.... They have beaten Georgia and a middle of the road Wisconsin, but losing to Vanderbilt is unfortunate
1) Settle down! BAMA's o/u was 9 wins. 2) There are _no_ 2 loss teams out of the CFP--no one will be undefeated--that is why one of many reasons CFP12 is awful for CFB. 3) DeBoer had to put a coaching staff together in January, after all the other teams had its staff in place. 4) Admittedly, the D's 3rd & 4th down performance is awful! However, as a whole it is really good. It gave 3 turnovers to the O, which it did nothing with in term of scoring. 5) Milroe is a RB playing QB... The idea he was talked about as a Heisman candidate was ridiculous! Just every other early season Heisman candidate throughout the years. #roadTo19
They want to pin this on jalen. However, im witnessing a growing disconnect btw quarteback and coaching. Ive watch alabama play 14 of the worst quarters 8ve ever seen them play. Every since the second half of the georgia game theyve been different
After the UGA game, I went on either the Kangaroo Black, or Funny Maine channel after they posted videos belittling us and said DeBoar (intentional) would be gone in three or four years. Their fans belittled me by calling me dumb, stupid, ignorant, etc. What say ye now, oh worshipers of the smellephant? Ebb tide - get used to it so long as DeBoar is there. I smell the hunting of De Boar to begin soon. I so love doing this, for I love coming up with new terms, for I am a published writer.I have now entered smellephant and Texas Buttheads (their throwing bottles - classless) to my lexicon.
@@kevinchandler179 Well he started out by saying that Bryant and Saban were the only great college football coaches I was going to add Tom Osborne but frankly could not think of his name right then . You could make a case for Phil Fulmer , If you are going to add Urban Meyer then you sure as he77 better add Steve Spurrier Jimmy Johnson and Pete Carrol who also went and won Superbowl's As someone borne in Michigan in 1960 I would have added Bo Schembeckler but as great as he was he never did win a National Championship . Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden won National Championships and also had really high win totals
@daleferber2096 Joe Pa is the Winningest coach ever!!! Joe won 2 national titles, and his first in 82,had 1 loss!!! He has 7 undefeated other seasons, and 85 he was number one in the nation undefeated and lost to Oklahoma and Barry Switzer!!! He came back in 86 next year and went undefeated again and beat Miami in the national title, back to back years undefeated regular season!!! Joe had undefeated perfect seasons in the late 60's with Franco Harris and them teams, 70's when Capaletti won the Heisman, and national title game against Bear Bryant in 78,when the goal line stand and no instant replay, when on 3rd down Matt Suey got into the end zone!!! Joe, never bitched or whined!!! 94, we were undefeated and voters made Nebraska the national champions, and Joe said, screw them we won every damn game we played!!! My point is, Joe and Bear were real legends and could have had even more titles, fact!!! Thanks, have a good night
After what Kirby Smart has done since taking over at Georgia not to mention how many years did it take him to get to the National Champ game? All the talk about Deion is just typical Hype. Until Kirby gets recognition coach of the year means nothing. I hope Colorado DOES MAKE THE CFP.
They need to realize Nick Saben is the best coach ever in college I'm a Volunteer fan and can admit that expecting anyone to take that mantle and do as good as him year in and year out is insane no matter who took the job was screwed 3 to 4 Ls and they fire him 🤦
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? ( John 14 : 9 KJV )
@@damianoby8540 I want you to stay right here so when they lose against Cincinnati, I want to ask you if that’s the fucking coach of the year the coach of the year isn’t gonna barely skate by South Dakota State lol
By “right the ship” if you mean winning 9-10 games most years then yeah. Maybe win the SEC on occasion. But the dynasty is dead. Saban’s first year he inherited a 6 win roster. DeBoer inherited a 12 win team. This year is not comparable to ‘07.
How fast they turn on their own coach just sad but everyone tried to tell Alabama but their fan base we going to be better 😂😂😂better than what marshmallow man 😂😂😂cause it will be a close race
The Uncle Lou had a theory a few years back about most 'Bama' fans weren't fans at all. They were just needed something to watch until Nascar season started. He said it cause they can't tell you anything about 'their' team, they just buy the T-shirt, hat, and may tailgate once in a while. The Vols did them a favor really. Georgia will return that favor to Tennessee in a few weeks. Go Dawgs.
Or hopefully Tennessee will get Revenge on Georgia for beating us the last few yrs, we tired of losing to ya'll...lol. Seriously Both defenses are stout, hope it is a low scoring game, I'm coming to Athens for the game...Go Vols!!!
