My thoughts exactly 💯. I give them credit for what they do defensively. Yet they don't play right offensively and they tend to make bad plays when it matters most. The Warriors aren't going to do that and even if they aren't the best defensive players. They know how to defend, because they know where to be and when. They beat you with their IQ. They never get shook being down 15 or 20. Everyone else does, because nobody else can shoot the lights out to get back. Celtics will have to keep their hands up all game. They had the same starting 5, but they mastered their chemistry and Rondo developed even more. Starting 27-2 with a 19 game win streak. Unfortunately, KG (the key to winning the championship) got a career altering injury (he wasn't the same dominant player after that) and that ruined the run. This Celtics team still has issues blowing huge leads which has happened from the start of the season and even in the playoffs. They did it against the Nets, Bucks, and Heat. They barely held their lead against the Heat to win the series. 07-08, 08-09 Celtics weren't fumbling leads. Heck, the 09-10 Celtics were the worse Big 3 Celtics during those 1st 3 years. They saved their energy in the season to win in the playoffs. Unfortunately, Perkins got injured in Game 6 of the Finals up 3-2 on the Lakers and the Lakers took advantage of that to win. This team is far from the best and it's disrespectful you think that while ignoring the Big 3 Celtics. I want the Celtics to win, btw.

Top 1 defense before Draymond got injured before all star break and iirc their defensive rating is right below 98 ppg with historic defensive rating since the Pistons era with Ben Wallace. Yes that was about 30~40 games and they can't sustain it with the phase that teams in today's nba play but that's a glimpse of what the warriors are capable of. I'm a warriors fan so I'm a bit bias but I really do think they are going to win the finals. They just have to limit their turnovers and not let the Celtics live at the free throw line.

there is no antithesis to a ball movement system lol that’s the greatness in the warriors system, everyone touches the ball. boston’s switching defense beat the east because all 3 teams ran their offenses through 1-2 players, that plays right into what boston wants, strong 1 on 1 matchups.

This "great" Boston defense struggled with 1-2 man offenses in the east, and you really think they won't struggle against the warriors? And even if they do good, considering all the 7 game series they went through, their already abysmal offense is going to be even worse.
