Health is the only way this team doesn't meet their potential. The fit should be like a glove, might start out slow, but as they familiarize with each other thru the season they fs should be top 3 east seed by trade deadline. Add in Morey's warchest of picks for that day, if healthy they should be the favorites to meet Boston in the ECF. And like I said, they stay relatively healthy (I have no doubt Joel will miss some games, Olympics should help his conditioning but I really want the big man to play 60-70 games) they have the talent to get over the hump. I just hope the hunger is there. Lotta "ifs" and "shoulds" but I'm confident and excited to see this squad play!

The 76ers punted the 2023 season and had Kelly Oubre as their 3rd best player. After getting rid of Tobum Harris, Morey went out and got a backup center, a high level role player who overperforms vs the Celtics and Bucks, and an aging but still skilled player who will thrive in a 3rd option role. Very exciting prospects for this team
SAS has a point. They have 3 stars who are easily capable of avg 20+ppg. You got Oubre who can shoot and defend, Martin & Gordon who can shoot, Drummond who’s a big body to crash boards.

Knicks are way better than Philadelphia. We have a lot more shooting and consistent shooting and way better defense so I don’t know what Steven a Smith is saying but we are the team to beat Boston. Joel Embiid is injury prone, and Paul George is injury prone.

We all know that this is a star driven league. But let’s not act like PG is in his prime defensively. Is he an improvement yes. Embiid is not an elite defender. Drummer is just a rebounder he is not a Rim Protector. The Knicks are the deeper team. The Knicks starters last year was their bench. The Knicks have four players i the starting line up who can put up 20 a game. They have Three elite defenders in the starting line if Mitchell Robinson is healthy. Three playmakers in the starting lineup too. Knicks are head and shoulders the better defensive team. That’s is why the are the bigger threat to the Celtics.
On paper yes 76ers better team and their styles actually fit with each other so yes it’s a wait and see but they’ll still be on top of east with New York the chemistry already there playing with each other before and all got better professionally with the exception of bridges already played together professionally so it wouldn’t be so hard to add bridges in the mix as a team Knicks going to be tuff with as a team the bigger stars just in Phili but for both of them just has to be healthy
