@@joshuagibson2520 🤣🤣😆🤣😆🤣Yeah,...um,...I'm pretty sure he doesn't work for free my guy. Him or his wife. Just because the Old Man said they've never asked for anything,...does mean they don't make anything.😆 They Old Man has stated several times they are paid employees of SRC Inc.. I'd be willing to bet that if you asked ole Kenny,....he'd tell you,..."we do just fine"😆
@@joshuagibson2520 Yea for sure. Bill and Kenny are a special case. And yes,...I totally get what you are saying Josh. Most people are to chincy to pay what a man's worth is. 100%
@@joshuagibson2520 Well said. I just get in the habit of telling them that everyone else before you ruined it for anybody down the line. There's some days where NO amount of money will change my mind.
I've helped friends and people out just like Kenny is doing only difference is that I was taken advantage of and usually unpaid or just not appreciated..which ends up leaving a sour taste for the next person.. 2 years ago I had major back surgery and was recovering from it and was asked by my buddies dad to haul asphalt for him part time. Next thing you know I'm working 70 hours a week and being a asphalt laborer for most of the time.. my back didn't take it very well and over the winter I started having trouble while laid off for the winter months.. went to the back surgeon and he said I was in need of another surgery and he said that I shouldn't go back to being a laborer.. I kept in touch with the guy I was working for telling him what was going on.. I slipped on the ice April of 21 which really messed me up.. come June right before I was ready to start getting everything taken care of so I could have surgery the knuckle head I was working for called the unemployment office and told them that I had been refusing work for months.. now I have to pay back 6k and I'm selling my Harley to pay bills and having to go back to work without having surgery.. I'm in the midwest where people used to take care of one another and actually care for the people around them just like the Bible says to.. unfortunately those people are far and few in existence..
Bill you, me, and all of these guys watching know you married the right lady. If she wants a small block with shiny things on it then build her one. 30 years I’ve been married to the same woman and she does as much for me as Ms. Vicki does for you. If she asks for something it’s usually not much and she usually deserves it.
You had me laughing when you said please stop bugging Mark and uncle Bob to get people in touch with you. I had visions of people camping out at A1 just waiting to catch you in the parking lot to hand over spares. 🤣🤣 don’t think of it as charity. People love what you do and just want to help. Hell they probably looking forward to clearing out their garages and seeing those precious parts they have been collecting for years getting put to good use. 👍🏻😊
This channel has always been 1 of my top 3 on youtube! Then came the name change and having more content of the old man together with Mrs Vikki, I have to say, I somehow love this channel more than I did b4!
Love this truck Bill. You can see the excitement in Miss Vickie's face. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming. God Bless you and your family. Looking forward to your next video.
She needs the small block, and lots and lots of shiny things, glitter all around...Still cheaper than diamonds, and sounds much better too brother, a shiny thing for every pot of Beef and Noodles she has ever cooked for you, and that is so much shiny and the future so bright, that everyone at the car shows will need shades to keep from being blinded. The ask your merchandise lady to brand you up cheap sunglasses to sell! Just thinking ahead to monetize a great situation, Mrs. VICKI C10 Truck viewing safety shades! Remember, she gave up a great Nova! So far you are doing great now together with the Empty Nester Syndrome, it is couple time again, and far before you are really actually old!
@@David-uu1oj right and he really has more because within a week's time usually over 100,000 people watch every video he posts I can't imagine out of 100,000 people how many of them are clueless or have no common sense and try contacting them got to be at least a hundred that's the shitty part about this gig especially to those around you
@@freedomfox8183 I think so many people have been spoiled by Facebook and other online sights that they can get a hold of people or to put their two cents in. Of course these people think that what they need to get across is way important so people like Bill and his family need to hear it. I’d love to chat with these guys to but I know as busy as I get there aren’t many days that I have to sit and chat. I don’t even have a RU-vid channel.
You two just make my day. I’m half way through and can’t stop laughing. It might seem like not much to you guys but it makes my day. Now back to the video. 💕 you both Artie
Agreed with you on the V8 swap with a little rumble, fun and attention getting but not obnoxious. She doesn't need a race truck but still enough power to enjoy some spirited acceleration at times. Great to see the two of you excited about the project together!
Early on even before you started your own chanel you talked about educating the young ones about racing and building cars. I truly enjoy all your content and hope to see more of the things that will help the younger generation. Don't know about you but i get at least 4 calls a week wanting me to diagnose problems over the phone. Just saying from one old fart to another , your content about problems and fixes is helpful to a lot of kids that don't have guidance at home. Glad you are doing well and looking forward to what the future brings to you and your family.
Hey Bill both Ayden and I have been talking about this C10 ever since you picked it up and talking about future plans of what to do with the 64 stepside C10 that his Grandfather gave to him..so we are definitely going to be following along with you on this build to learn more about the truck and it's gonna teach him alot about his first truck..thanks brother for more great content 👍
“Mrs. Vickie don’t want no 6 cylinder” 🤣😂 that whole conversation cracked me up, loving the content Bill and can’t wait to see the C-10 finished up 👍✌️
I love that Vicki says "cool" when you tell her the new headlights for the dually came in, and that she wants to understand how things work. She's a gem! Got to keep the 3 on the tree!
Three on the tree is cool until you have an ice-cream cone in hand and put a perfect ice cream arc on the windshield going into second. I've had it happen.
Thank you for thinking about us small people and the communication your setting up for us! I feel it's disrespectful to bother the people you associate with. I'm happy to know that there is a way to ask a question now!
Bill it's time to set up a po box so people can send you stuff out of appreciation .... Love the videos keep up the great work , God bless you and yours Bill ....
Hearing Mrs. Vicki talk about her Nova in the last video and seeing her excitement for the new truck was heart warming. She is a great gal. You got a keeper Old Man.
Bill, The hot ticket for door weather strip is to use a Honda Civic Coupe one. Part numbers are 72315-SVA-A01ZA and P/N 72355-SVA-A01ZA. They are a perfect fit and are not a stick on. Nice truck by the way, I have a 66 C10
I really hope you all get Tommy's truck back home tomorrow it's been gone way to long You should tell everyone not to bother others in more videos cause alot of people seem to miss important things like this all the time
Hey Bill have you ever considered possibly moving that fuel tank from behind the seat? I used to have one and they sell a kit that comes with a tank fits right in between the frame rails in the back and when you install the new floor in the bed the fill would be right there just a thought because I don't care how much you try lol those tanks that are behind the seats somehow always gets some kind of smell from the fuel tank especially after filling it up. Great videos as always keep them coming
That would be the smartest move.Vicki will never be happy driving that truck in the summer with the gas fumes in the cab and it won’t cost much more to put a whole new tank, sending unit, lines etc, than it will to do the lining in the old tank, new sending unit, and lines. And right now, it’s the perfect time to it the tank on the back before the new bed floor goes in. It does not make any sense to put that old tank back in!
Only one problem with that , you have to weld a plug into the hole in the cab and finish it off . When you do that you lose that gorgeous patina that Miss Vickie loves .
@@bobbrinkerhoff3592 cut the full tube off the original tank and mount it through the existing hole with the cap on it. It’ll look original and no weld in plug necessary.
@@def1791 you would need to permanently attach the cap to the filler neck to keep someone from trying to put gas in the truck the old way , and causing a big mess inside .
I'm moving to Dayton Ohio in 4 days I hope to see you guys I'm from San Diego California. I'm chasing my dreams to drag race n that's why I'm moving out there.
That's cool as hell, to be able to chase your dream like that ! Maybe you'll make a trip or two down to N.C. sometime there's tracks just about the whole state . And remember N.C. is the hot rod capital of the world !
Everything doesn't need to be a hotrod. That 6cyl is perfect for what she and the shop needs. You got the right card. I'm a photographer and those are about the best you can get.
Bill you got one helluva deal on that truck!, and it's so good to see Ms Vickie out in the garage excited over this truck!, money is no object for her on this truck!, lololo!. What's great is you have a project for both of you!, you hit a home run on this restoration!. And I'm so glad Kenny is around to help out!, hes worth his weight in gold!. Glad you got the dually fixed I see you have the same luck I've had here latley on my 67 hi-boy!, Glad to see you got some new tools!.
Absolutely love the truck and the content with the pending restoration! 👌 I love the racing content, I really do, but I really like the direction that you are heading with your channel. Keep up the great work I think the content is awesome. Good luck and God bless!
My kids been calling me Ole man ever since I was in my 30's,,I'm glad to see some1 with family values finally getting the following you have gotten...This day and age our society needs that more NOW than ever in our great country.....Keep the content flowing, and don't ever give up on your following cause you are needed more than you'll ever truly know.....Good night,or morning which ever time it is when,(if) you read this.....
Glad to hear your picking up T2GS10 go over it with a fine tooth comb, any damage that wasn't there before is on them. Grinding chips will buff out..🇳🇿😎
that shop is going to feel so much nicer once you guys get it all insulated. that truck is awesome. im digging the patina for sure. looking forward to the build on this one.
Hey man, just a little tidbit I picked up along the way. Especially after I lost my wife to cancer 9-1/2 yrs ago. Someone very close to me brought it to my attention that it’s great to make your own way and do for yourself but for SOME giving is their way of coping with whatever they might be dealing with. May be one of the only ways they have to feel a little self worth and pride in their own lives. My problem? No of course not. Yours? No of course not but that DID change my views on declining “help” from people that felt the need. To this day I’m a much better giver than receiver, as a matter of fact I SUCK at receiving but that perspective will forever stick with me and I do my best to understand that I’m great at giving, where would I be if the people I gave TO received as well as I do?? Totally get where you’re coming from and having been in that boat TOTALLY get it. Just a little spin on that though take it or leave it. Love the content. Keep up the great work!!
Kenny p is an awesome worker, he seems like a great young man. He is definitely a jack-of-all-trades. We are getting the same crappy weather up here in Connecticut, it's coming in Sunday night into Monday.
The sound of that 292 cranking over brings back so many memories. My dad had a 64 long bed, 292, 3 on the tree that I grew up in and learned to drive when I was 5 in the hayfield so that he could load the hay without getting back in the truck. I've been looking for one to restore for a few years with no luck and then you come to TN and find one, lol! Looking forward to watching this truck come together!
Miss Vicki sleeping on the ole 6 cylinder. Leave it for a bit and she’ll fall in love with it. We have a 64 Ford with a straight 6 and 3 on the tree. 3 generations have driven that truck and soon to be 4. Best memories ever are in that truck. My sister was always embarrassed to be dropped off at school in it when we was young and we thought that was funny, so my brother and I loved it. All through the years before it was neglected that truck would run when nothing else would. I hope to get it back in driving shape soon so my dad and my son can make a trip before it’s too late. Good stuff Mr Bill!👍
I just wanted to compliment the new truck. I've owned a couple of them over the years. Both 66's, one C10 and one C20. They are solid, simple, easy to work on trucks. I really love the truck and the channel. Best of luck!
If Vicki wants the V8 I'm sure she will get it, but I would not junk the six cylinder, in fact I would overhaul it and put an engine dress-up kit and put in storage because one never knows what a low mileage numbers matching 64 C-10 will end up being worth.
Yeah like me , in 2 years will be 60 yrs. old that old motor may be 50 x more valuable than me if freshened up ! But at least I got 500 x the miles on my tired old ass !
I personally would pull the engine maybe trans to and rebuild them even thoe they don't need it just older seals bearing ect and store them properly so if ever decide to restore it then have number matching
@@johnspratt4421 I have a 1 of 1 96 Chevy c2500. The moment I took those original plug wires off the stock plugs out. I felt like I devalued my truck $4,000. Took the original exhaust off and kept it. I will probably have it welded back on. It's a survivor 100% original in perfect shape inside and out only that way once. Wish I had kept my plug wires plugs and distributor. I would put them back on even though they were done she still ran.
@@crazyfoot490 sounds nice.. each to there own I have a weird way of looking at things personally I would rather do a bunch of miles on a motor that has no value to it and even devalues it for not being numbers matching so if I decide to restore it sell it ect have all the original equipment that is not used and abused like I would love to get a old apache and if numbers matching 1 of the first things that would be done is pull the original motor and trans and put a sbc in it so I can have fun with it and not care if I drive it to hard and blow it up and when it's time to let it go put the numbers matching back in it so its original and not abused or alot of miles on it
@@johnspratt4421 I would agree with an Apache. Those Trucks can only run 50 miles an hour. You have to change everything just to keep up with today's mopeds
You, the channel & this content ARE THE BEST, OLD MAN!.. I don't know how I'd get by in life without YOU and this CHANNEL, sir. Helps break up the monotony in my life. 😂😂.. Thank you! God bless!
Love seeing how excited Mrs. Vicki is about the truck! Happy Wife Happy Life 😂! Hope you all have a great weekend, stay warm my friend! Kenny’s truck looks good with the new wheels!
I absolutely love you guys channel.the peaceful, comforting vibe I get while watching this is awesome.keep up the good work,I can't wait to see the finished product.
U can see the excitement on Mrs Vickeys face Mr bill old man 💯 I love waking up to the old man garage with u Mrs Vickey and June pup and scrappers and Kenny powers 💯 Mrs Vickey wants that small block with shinny things 🤣😂 gotta love her 💯
I think the one think I miss the most is when I was a kid was riding in the bed of my dad's truck down to the local Dairy Queen on a Saturday night for Ice Cream...that was back in 1960,s....When life was normal
Awesome job as always Bill. The truck is in phenomenal shape. I have a 66 like it and those old trucks definitely turn some heads. Small block,700r4 and 3.73 gears is what mine has and makes it a respectable driver and decent fuel mileage. Good luck to you and Vickie on getting the old girl back on the road.
So sweet she runs smooth n good. Bummer about your water pump .. you and Miss Vicky just bust me n my wife up every time you all give each other a hard time n tease each other . Love your vids and God Bless you both always !! Thank you for sharing life n hot rodding with us as always . Keep them coming Ole Man . Thank you .
The conversation you had with Miss Vicky while she was parking reminded me of conversations my wife and I have when she drives or parks. I enjoyed your humor, and it is nice to see I'm not alone. Have a great week.
That shop C10 is already cool and rare with the original 6 and 3 on the tree. There are plenty of C10’s out there with shiny V8’s. Anyway, love the channel and the upcoming content you have planned for it
Love the videos, My friend please don't change a thing, even though we are close in age, you sure do remind me a lot of my old man, witch is nice seeing as he has been gone for almost 20 years. God bless you and the family,
I love your channel and your family. I get it you have your own private lives to live. I would never dream of calling Uncle Bob or any one else trying to get your phone numbers. I was raised different than that. I have more respect for you and these other people running their businesses than to call them for a phone number! God Bless!!
Ol Homer sure looked suspicious alright...very suspicious to Scrappy while protecting her loot of beef jerky. 😂 Great content as usual Bill, take care. 🇺🇸
Hey Bill I can really relate with that old truck we were both born the same year two more years and will be 60 easier to say for the truck than myself ! When I was 10 years old I work for a ole man down the road that had a firewood business, he had the identical twin same year color three on the tree first picture you showed his old truck popped in my mind use to a Kick out of watching him on that clutch and the shifter on the column with all the wood it could carry wow what a memory
Yes you should get a Po box as well. Many you tubers take donations to keep their content coming. Whether it's shop supplies or parts you can use. It also will keep crazy people from showing up trying to give you things at your home Love your channel
Respect your family and what you are doing ! I get Mark my dad and I had a parts business like Marks but I’m glad you include him! But would never overstep my boundaries! Please put Ma Vicki a small block in that truck she is deserving! God bless you all!!
Bill I love your channel you and Vicki crack me up. I hope to meet yall when you come to Crossville TN I live about 50 miles from there. Love the truck I am looking for a new project myself. Much love to you and the family. Brandon from TN.
Bill seeing the excitement in Vickis face is great. She knows what she wants in he daily driver. I enjoy all of your videos. Time to insulate the shop. Hope you got the new electric to the shop. Keep up the good work on these
The six is more than adequate for anything Vicki would ever do with the old truck but I understand picking your battles. Soldier on old man. And rest assured I'd never mess with a man's parts suppliers. That ain't cool.
You and Miss Vicky remind me of my mom and dad such a pleasure to watch you to interact together you to are surely bless love watching your videos keep them coming , maybe get Miss Vicky to turn some wrenches lol
I’m your age and my Father is not with us anymore. I’m having a hard time about it. Watching your channel shows me kinda what we had. We started a Mustang build but never finished it. So that’s my new goal. Thank you 🙏
