Other teams have tiny spurts of playing really well and they shoot up the tiers. The celtics have legitimately played well for the entire season and playoffs and they just get moved up and down randomly lol

Am I the only one surprised that the Nuggets/Wolves game 3 isn’t until Friday? Seems unusual to have a game 2 on Monday and have 3 full days off in the middle of the second round. Before looking at the schedule today, I was slightly hoping that game 3 would be tonight, but figured it would be tomorrow since Denver had a travel day. But Friday? This series is far from over. The Nuggets will benefit much more than the Wolves from the rest. Is the league trying to keep Denver alive?
Happens pretty much every year when two teams who swept Round 1 start Round 2 while another set of teams is still cleaning up Game 7 from Round 1. It's just to even up scheduling moving forward

Normally rest is always good for any team but in these circumstances when you are playing the defending champs and you are the younger, healthier, maybe even more dynamic team and you have all of the momentum, you can’t wait to play. The games can’t be played fast enough for the Wolves right now. And this gives the Nuggets time to rest and refocus. This is a big break for Denver and it’s not being talked about enough.

Gotta resign Mitchell first and foremost. If they are able to do that. They then need to trade Garland and they need to trade Allen. They can get some solid assets for both of those players. Garland and Mitchell don't work as a back court and both bigs don't really work as a front court.

The Minnesota Timberwolves were designed by team president Tim Connelly to beat the Denver Nuggets team that, before this gig, Connelly himself also largely crafted, when he ran basketball operations there. That plan has worked.
Not saying the Nuggets are winning the series because they are not. But remember the Spurs in 2012? They were 10-0 to start the playoffs and ran roughshod on the league...even being down 24 points against CP3/Blake Griffin/Deandre Jordan/and 3pt specialist JJ Reddick they still came back and won. After the Spurs went 10-0 people thought they were dynastic. Didn't win a single playoff game after that. Not saying that this is how the Wolves are going to be, but there is some precedent here. Not to mention Phoenix winning the first two games in 2021 and then lost 4 straight to Milwaukee in the NBA finals.
Think it has more to do with them winning the first two of this series on the road against the defending champs with one of those games being a blowout without their best defender.
Let's be honest.. the only reason they were the #1 seed was because of an uncharacteristic loss by Denver to the Spurs and the Mavs starting basically a G League team the last game of the regular season..
