Thanks for your review, just received our printer today, and you're right about the assembly instructions. Not as clear as they could be. But all in all, it's easy to assemble, if you're an Electronics Engineer. but even those schematics are lacking. They should truly indicate that their image, is a side view. Looking forward to finally working with this system, and your next more extensive video review.
I got the same printer as you, although I have added an extra $50 for the maflex magnetic bed, which I highly, highly recommend. Probably one of the best bendable magnetic beds I've ever tried in 3d printing. I've noticed that the bowden bracket is really really bad. It gives out to friction really fast after around 100+ hours of printing. I replaced the bracket with a MK8 style aluminum frame, and the retraction works just fine, if not, better. This is probably the most comprehensive review I have found on this printer by far, appreciate the effort that you put in!
I know I am a bit late to the party, but I am getting one of these tomorrow morning. It comes with a lazer engraving add-on which is the main reason why I am getting it. I do wood turning and the idea that I can add some personal touches to my work with an engraver, is making me grin like a cheshire cat. I feel like a kid on christmas eve, I probably won't sleep :)
Nice review although It would of like to seen some of the prints you did in the first week (I'm looking at getting my first 3D printer and exploring options at the moment).
can you please make a video tutorial about the BLTouch installation, im stuck here with the sensor useless and can't find any videos... thanks in advance
HI thanks for this great video...this is my 2nd 3d printer and my 1st eryone 3d printer. You mentioned the Eryone has an assembly video....I looked and is for the Thinker S not Thinker SE....are they the same for assembly?
@Where Nerdy is Cool! What kind of Bl touch sensor are you using for the SE 3D printer? I found this Bl touch on amazon will this work for SE 3dprinter---Creality BLTouch Auto Leveling Kit Sensor V1 Mainboard Upgrade for 3D Printer Cr-10 / Ender 3 / Ender 3 Pro/Ender 5 / Ender 5pro / CR 10S / CR-10 S4 / S5. Thanks
Really nice review. I have been looking to buy my 2nd printer and this review has given me an answer for that! Will be a nice step up from my anet a8 i got back in 2017. Your review was really nice and detailed! Will definitely subscribe. Quick question. What length coord did you need for bltouch? Also hows it holding up? Another question- thermal runaway protection?
I bought the 1 meter version of the BL Touch (linked in the description) and found I had plenty left over cable to neatly zip tie out of the way. It has thermal runaway set on the firmware but I also flashed to a newer version (which also has it set on)
It has a glass bad. Not Wham Bam (which is a spring steel with PEX layer you apply. ). I just bought two Wham Bam kits for my printers. I just need to find the time to install!
Hi i have never used a 3d printer before and have very little knowledge on how to use one but am a quick learner and willing to throw myself in to learning. would you recommend this printer or have any recommendations on what i should buy. i live in the UK so would be helpful if i could purchase one from here and not the US. i would like to print things for cosplay and want to make star wars stuff so it will get a lot of use. thank you to anyone that may be able to help me out.
It’s a good printer for a beginner. I’ve had a few minor complaints, such as no ability to tighten some things up since eccentric nuts are not used. And the x gantry seems to get out of alignment on the dual Z axis
@@WhereNerdyisCool I almost bought an Ender 5 Plus, but got this instead because it looks pretty good and was $150 off on Amazon with a free roll of filament. Hopefully this will give similar detail with a smaller nozzle.
