I think you should try to meet and get to know some people first who speak english (not hard to find, you'll get so many). Chat with them, if they have time to show you around, that will be great. Dhaka life is hard for its own people, but we have literally invented so many tricks to make it easy 😂. But, you can enjoy your stay here with some help here. Sorry to say, I actually laughed hard when I saw the amount of food for your first dinner. You can have a really great meal here in Dhaka if you know where to look. Another suggestion is to get out of Dhaka and visit other cities. That'll be better experience, hopefully.
