First time at Nurburgring In Honda civic FN2

Hello, just a short, mostly unedited video of my last lap at the Nurburgring a few weeks back.
That place is awesome, get it on your bucket list...
It's not a fast lap, but it was my fastest of the 4 day trip @ 9:26 seconds. Clearly my driving isn't perfect, but i had fun learning the track with ‪@thatbluedc5958‬ and my mate in his MX-5.
It was cool to meet up with ‪@LeadFootash23‬ and Noble86... i'll do another Nurburgring video in the future to include the laps on the Nurburgring GP circuit and the other bits i captured whilst i was there.
Great food, great beer, meet some great people and most of all, an awesome adventure i'll never forget... it leaves you buzzing!!!
I will be back, i will be faster!!

Ah mate, thanks 👌🏼appreciate that a lot. I’ve got a lot to learn around that track… it’s proper mental, but such a laugh too. Thanks for the comment means a lot to a small channel, she should sound even better now I’ve done the mani and exhaust 👍🏼

Nicely driven, smooth with the car not ragging it round, leaving yourself a sensible safety margin whilst respecting the other circuit users but still having fun 👍

Thanks man, definitely room for improvement with the gear shifts and general positioning, I guess that comes with more experience on track. I can’t wait to go back and try again 🙌🏼 I appreciate the kind comment and the view… thanks for giving it a watch 👌🏼

Mate i lived every second of that, i was leaning with ya round bends and my right foot was kicking he waste paper bin under the PC 🤣🤣, soooooooo good, smashed it buddy. Great video, glad you literally had a Blast👌👌👍👍✌

Thanks bud… I could have added loads more ‘cuts’ but it was supposed to be like a RAW lap. I’ll deffo do another video of the other laps and what not 👍🏼 Shame we didn’t get chance to get some chase footage of the Subaru

Wicked Lap mate! I get genuine anxiety watching it! Gets narrow there in parts doesn’t it! Not sure I’d have the minerals to fly around that quick first time!

Haha thanks man… it’s mental but really good fun. I’m hoping to go back this year if I can scrape the funds together, I think the scariest bit is down the foxhole, it really doesn’t do it justice on camera but the compression at the bottom of the hill is nuts, you feel like you’re getting squashed into your seat

Honestly, best track I’ve ever been on, not sure it’ll be topped. But I have Spa on the bucket list and I’ve heard that’s awesome too

so glad to see the footage man, nice lap! seems to me its not only me that thinks the gearing and vtec is not good for the ring!? sometimes i was out of vtec and sometimes i was changing gear all the flipping time just to try be in vtec lol

Same mate, I was struggling for sure…I think when it gets remapped the lower vtec will help. A massive part of it is knowing the track and clearly I didn’t know it that well, but I had fun anyway 😂 I can’t wait to go back

Great drive...nice to watch..how do you find the HR short shifter ? is it any good or worthwhile mod ? pls tell me your thoughts on it? ( i noticed you struggle gears into 3rd to 5th sometimes)

Could be syncros, mine does it do at high revs sometimes. I run a mugan shifter

@@yardspeed13 That extreme camber banking with the bad road though....never know whether to lauch round that corner because of the camber... or not because of the bad road surface. Guess it dependa how brave or mad you are. 🤪

In this video the upgrades are: 1. Yellow speed coil overs 2. Mild track geometry 3. Nankang AR-1 tyres 4. HKS CAI 5. Power flex bushes 6. MFactory LSD race pack version No engine mods, stock ecu, intake and exhaust Thanks for watching and commenting 🙌🏼

I was trying… some of the corners look very similar to a novice for sure. When I played it on Forza it just can’t simulate the ups and downs of the track, it’s literally like a rollercoaster. Fun though… wish I lived closer to try again. I was still getting gears and corners wrong… but that’s part of the learning experience. Such a sick place though, highly recommended trying if you haven’t been

Thanks mate, yeah you’re totally right I know I need to work on the Rev matching… there was just a lot to think about on a new track 😬🤪 I do try it when I’m on tracks I’m more familiar with. Thanks for watching, hopefully I can improve more this year 👌🏼
