So a Quick note: I learned from my mom after the episode that “the Royal” part just means: Bibinka with extra toppings on it. So the whole “VS” doesn’t really make sense. It’s more 2 recipe tested and both turned out tasty, and I would recommend trying it out. It was really easy to make. PS: The second batch after cooling turned out even better. Ilocano mom approval.

That’s looks delicious 😋 very professional as always. Bibingka in our province is quite different cause we use glutenous rice and we cook it a circle shaped clay pot in a open fire. We also put a lid on it and put burning charcoal in the top, so the top part of it will caramelize and to evenly cook it. Yours Bibingka if im not mistaken is to be top with salted eggs for a little bit salty taste. Now, for your next creation, Since you’re into baking. May I suggest you to make a Buko pie. For savory dishes how bout Bulalo, nilagang baboy, Sisig or Bicol Express. Since it’s cold out there you could try to do Sopas too. It’s perfect to that kind of weather.

Yep, two of my fave bibingka variants are from Alabel (Sarangani) and Digos (Davao del Sur). 🤤

Yes the real way, I am going to try that version when I go back for sure. And I didn't have time to make it with salted eggs, but I still want to give that a try as well. The salt & sweetness match well. I wrote all the suggestions down, and there will be a couple picked out for sure.

That looks delicious!! Professional!! It really should have shave coconut and itlog maalat( salted egg). Actually different provinces have their versions. Stay safe guys!!

Yeah, need to try that version out for sure, didn't have time that time to do it justice. But that will be one I want to try in the near future.

i havent tasted a bibingka cooked in an oven.. i used to buy, and thought only available during xmas season, the one cooked in a banana leaf placed in a clay pot with charcoal both at bottom and on top (like serves as cover) to may be melt the cheese. idk if the taste differs on how it'll be cooked. all i know that its best eaten while its hot. btw congrats to 15k plus subs! ✌🏻

Ohh really I think because over here it's not made in the traditional way that I only have tried the oven version. Whenever I will go to the PH again I will definitely try the original one. Thank you.
