Why would you use pantene shampoo on an animal let alone a tiny kitten? I know they get messy but how about trying to find out about how to wash them the right way? And that doesnt mean you put them in a bath, they lose their body heat very quickly, please stop this
It breaks my heart to see this little angel meow and cry so loudly...but it was necessary to clean the fleas and dirt. The end of the video the kitten seemed so calm, clean and sleepy. Looked like a pretty baby once all clean! I really hope this little angel now has a good life and is receiving the love and care and delicious food.
Couple of tips from an experienced emergency foster: 1. You don't typically want to creat a bubble bath for kittens. It makes them more nervous because they can't see the bottom and it makes them feel vulnerable to water based preditors. Also, the sometimes try to bite the bubbles or drink the water. Since they are little, they can get diarrhea from this easily. If there is enough soap for bubble in the bath. If you are trying to kill fleas with the soap, there are other safer ways to do so. 2. Don't stop holding the kitten. If he panics and jumps you might not get him in time and he could fall out of the sink and get hurt. 3. Related to the previous statement. Hold or massage the back of the kittens neck during the bath. It will help to keep them calm. 4. If it's a stray, I recommend grooming gloves for the first bath. As you wash off any infection, blood, grime, poop, and fleas, it can get into any tiny scratches the kitten may give you. That's not safe. 5. Always have a latger pre-warmed towel for swaddling after drying a bit with a smaller rag. Also, a prewarmed bottle ready for after a bath. It will help to soothe the little one after the ordeal.
@@Theee_MC One of my more maternal adults used to do this all the time. She's learned now how to tell the difference between a recording and an actual kitten. I kind of miss her looking about!
Rule no.1: don't fill the sink so much, the kitten thought he was in danger of drowning. The water is to go up to the kitten's stomach, no further. Be careful when washing the kitten's face, never splash water over his forehead, he needs his eyes to see. However, you kinda got the drying part right. Just take great care not to wrap the towel round the kitten too tightly, you didn't cover his head which was good. When drying off, let the kitten lie on top of the towel without you touching him. Let him calm himself down, and then gently rub him dry. That's the way to make sure the kitten is safe when washing and drying him.
@@lorrainesaltmarsh2836 If that kitten wasn't previously traumatised with water, he is now, for the rest of his life ! Very anxious situation for both kittens.
For such a tiny kitty, he sure was dirty! Look at that bath water! With our 3 month old kittens, we put warm water in the tub, about 3-4 inches, and then set them in the shallow end so they could explore first before the washing started. You know cats, they are so curious. We would talk very quietly to them and wash them while they snooped around, and before you know it, they seemed to be enjoying it. After that, we covered their faces with a dry wash rag, then a warm rinse and it was over. Surprisingly, our big Golden Retriever-Lab mix dog kept watch on the whole process and when it was her turn for a bath, both kittens jumped in with her to share the experience!
I just love the sounds that kittens make. They're so cute. I've a tabby named BeBe Bleu. She's 1.5 years old & I've had her since she was 2 months. She warms my heart so much.
I love watching animals be bathed and cleaned. It's like I can see and feel the relief of being clean come over them. Especially after being dried off and fed. They just go to sleep..Clean and full🙂
That Baby is SO tiny and Beautiful! Kittens will squeak a lot for their first baths, but you did very well! Handling them very gently and using just clean water to rinse the little one off after the first wash At the end seeing the Baby all wrapped up and ready to nap is the sweetest thing! ❤️😻
By far not every Kitten will scream like this, I have actually rarely seen a worse first bath than this :( this cat probably will fear baths for the rest of her life
My goodness, looking at the bath water, the kitten needed bathing, what good care, gentle and thorough washing! Was the soap used a no-tears soap formula? Cute & tired after a wonderful spa day!
@@aswanb - Pantene does not make a no-tears shampoo. I know all about Pantene shampoos. They had this killer shampoo I used about 30 years ago for fine/thin hair. It was the best, I wish they would bring it back. It was sold at department stores then.
I mean no offence by this, but can people please read the title of this video "First Time Bathing A Kitten" I truly applaud you all for showing such kindness and attention to the tiny sweet Baby in this video, but I would please ask yourself to really think about this before posting a reply: How did you know the best way to wash a Kitten? Through online research? Experience? Asking a friend? Etc But what if you don't have that? Not everyone is experienced or fully knowledgeable on Animal Care, and some places just can't get or afford the right things to use. Here is a kind soul doing their best to take care of this Tiny Baby, showing love, gentleness and compassion. So PLEASE stop sending messages telling them off or making them sound stupid, we are adults here, so can we please act like them and just be happy that this Tiny Kitten is being loved and taken care of. I agree with one of the comments below that the Kitten wasn't enjoying the bath, but they were responding to the other Kitten who was calling out to them, they are very likely litter mates and were just worried as they didn't know where the other one was, notice how when one went quiet so did the other. I'm not having a go at anyone or saying you have no right to your own opinions as of course you do. I only ask that you try to be more understanding and caring towards the situation, and if you have to say something, then say it kindly. 🙂 Thank you and have a wonderful weekend! ❤️
Thank you for your understanding. Each region and country has different kitten care regimes. I did it very gently so the kitten wouldn't get hurt, which is shown in this video. I hope for your understanding. We welcome any opposing opinions and resolve them❤❤❤

poor little monster ❤ he really needed that bath. but oh my goodness! he hated every second of it and sure did let you know. nice ending, watching him wrapped up like a burrito and slowly falling asleep.
Oh lord!...I have had a half dozen cats, and only one of them ever needed a thorough bathing. Most of mine lived their entire life without needing one. They were all indoor cats. The one that got bathed was the very first kitten, who was found roaming the streets. It killed me to hear it's cries.
Perfect job! That kitten had fleas and was truly in need of your healing hands! Great job, bravo! You couldn't have done it better. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise! 😊
Comme toujours et comme pour les bébés on prend la température de l'eau avec un thermomètre ou si on n'en n'a pas avec LE COUDE ! La main supporte de l'eau très chaude ! Trop chaude souvent !!!!!!!
Im a cat mommy. You can talk to the kitty & re-assure it. That everything is ok. They do understand. When washing the kittens face avoid the water going in their eyes it scares them. 😻
Please get him a warm DRY towel to wrap him loosely in. Cats lose their internal heat very quickly, which is why they like to lie on our heads and feet, where we lose our heat. Humans generate our own heat, but most fur animals don't. For this, they like to lay where it is warmest. In the sunlight, cuddled up with their friends or on us.
Obviously this kitten needed cleaning judging by the colour of the water, but that didn't stop me crying. Thank for showing it drying, that was some consolation.
This litten is so sweet when it's crying out loudly AND then growls a bit as if to say: I warn you, human, I'm a dangerous beast! And all the time it's supported by the other crying kitten in the background. How precious they both are. A real present from God.
This kitty did really well in a first bath. I was surprised the water darkened as much as it did given how tiny the bather was. Best wishes to this kitty starting on life's journey and her human caretaker.
