3 rappers 4 vocalist. Watch *who is BTS the 7 members of bangtan* The rap not always like this. Check BTS mic drop. If you don't like the rap & hiphop stuff, maybe check the mellow side of them. Check the vocalist songs like Singularity, epiphany, serendipity and euphoria. Or Lost, Dimple.

I am sorry to say this but they are not getting rid of the rap parts. The rappers are basically the heart of the group, they wrote and composed most of their 120(?) songs. The group do have a couple of songs which are either singing or rapping, you may check those but they are b-sides. Also, if you check a live performance you will realize that everyone has a part on their songs, this is not the case of other western groups were you have a main, popular, singer and some backup dancers.

What the hell are you talking about all 3 rappers have released mix tape Augst D just released his second mix tape in the last few months. You do know that that suga right. Have you actually listen to their albums or just watch their videos there are a lot of songs that are only singing. The truth untold ,epiphany, serendipity, I'm still with you, you make me begin ( Jungcook), 4 o'clock( by V with help from RM).

One of the things I personally really like about BTS is that they have an extremely versatile discography. As far as the rap, all three rappers (RM, Suga & J-Hope) have unique styles, but they also aren't afraid to experiment on each track, so I would definitely recommend checking out more to see if it's more to your liking. There are some vocal-only songs and some purely rap songs, it just depends on what you're looking for. Even though you said reading lyrics are distracting, part of what makes BTS so popular worldwide is their deep lyricism, so I would definitely recommend checking that out as well, even if it's just on your own time. All seven members are very hands-on in the creative process of their albums, but the rappers tend to be the main writers/producers of their work alongside their team at Big Hit. All members also have their own solo projects that they either release independently & for free on SoundCloud, or are included as a part of their albums. Sorry, didn't mean to write a novel! Really enjoyed your honest opinions, even if I don't agree with everything you said! Would love to see you react to some of what else that BTS has to offer and hear what you think.

bts have a very versitile discography so im sure you will find more bts songs that you'll enjoy. bts' rapline is arguably one of the best in kpop in general, they actually almost started off as an hip hop group, but the CEO decided to debut them as a kpop group. kpop usually includes singing, rapping and dancin even tho there are certain groups mostly focused on just singing etc. the thing about bts that kinda differentiated them from other kpop groups was the fact that their company encouraged them to write and producte their own songs, which a lot of other companies didn't and still don't allow some groups to do. i strongly believe that's one of the main reasons ppl started to feel a lot more connected to bts rather than other groups, because their songs were made by them, it's their thoughts, their experiences and their messages, sometimes even criticizing society, talking sensitive topics such as mental health (which was also pretty rare in kpop), sef love etc. kpop groups before bts were mostly known as manufactured music especially in the west. btw, of course there were other amazingly talented kpop groups at the time, even before bts debuted but they made their music feel a lot more genuine.. another reason might be their amazing performances and choreography captivated a lot of ppl. it's important to notice that bts started off really small, part of a small company, hated by the general public for multiple stupid reasons, a lot of ppl believed they would flop bc their company was rly small and didn't have a lot of money.. but they slowly made their way to the top, with a LOT of hardships, but they made it and now they're the biggest group in the world. there's a lot more to their story but if you're genuinly curious you can react to videos such as "bts from nobodies to legends" by xceleste or just watch it by yourself :) sorry if this was long! i appreciate genuine reactors, these days a lot of ppl react to bts for views and they just sit there hyping up every single thing, which kinda seems fake to me.. so thank u for your honesty, as long as you state ur opinion while being respectful towards the boys' work, we will respect you!! love x

You can’t judge their rapping skills just like that. The three rappers of the group are all super skilled. BTS were originally supposed to be a HIp hop group. You need to react to more of their music to see for yourself.

I don’t think he’s judging their skills, just the style, stating that he’s not a fan of that specific kind of rap. (Judging their skills would be him liking that style but saying the boys weren’t good.) It’s also just a raw first impression of it, so I’m sure when he’s exposed to more songs, he will find rap parts and flows that will suit his taste better =)

Imanlill well he said he liked yoongi better, based on the few seconds he heard them rap. I don’t mind that it’s just many people who hear BTS for the first time don’t know how experienced the rappers actually are and how involved they are in the production of the music, people will tend to say “ oh they are trying to rap” because they think that BTS is just your average boyband. I just hope he will watch a few more videos to get and actual idea of who they are.

Seven members aren’t even a lot; there are groups with more and it’s not that hard for all of them to get a say either. I notice a lot of Americans have pre-conceived notions about what a “boy band” sounds like and apply them to BTS when they couldn’t be any more different. Lastly, It’s fine if you don’t like a certain rap flow but I don’t think it’s your place to say it isn’t actually rap. Rap (just like singing) has different cadences and it comes off as disingenuous to say it’s bad. That being said, I hope there are more reactions to them soon.

There are 7 of them 3 rappers 4 vocalists. They write their own lyrics and produce their songs as well and are Amazing Live performers. They also are very much involved in their own career and the direction their albums and concepts take. The three rappers are full member of Korea Music copyright association, and all of BTS are members of the Grammy's recording academy. The rappers are: 1) The leader RM (1994) (currently stands for Real Me) real name Kim Namjoon ( also one of the main producers/songwriters/lyricists for the group. studio name Rkive) The IQ on this man is crazy (148 to be exact) he has a great interest in fine art and Philosophy and literature. 2) Suga aka Agust D real name Min Yoongi (1993) (also a main producer /composer/lyricist for the group studio name Genius Lab), he plays the piano, he is an amazing pianist, that was basicaly his first love. Loves aesthetics and architecture. 3) Dance leader/sub-vocalist J-hope (1994) (used to be a street dancer, now he is also a main producer on the team/songwriter/lyricists studio name Hopeworld, he also helps choreograph for the team and helps manage dance rehearsal and stage choreography for them. Fun fact he's a really good at beatboxing The vocalists are: 4) Jin real name Kim Seokjin (1992) (Has a masters degree in Film and visual arts with a background in film and theater/acting, is one of the vocalists for the team, he also is a songwriter and lyricist for the team, he plays the piano and the guitar and the ukele, has a beautiful voice. 5) Jimin real name Park Jimin (1995) ( lyricist and songwriter for the group as well (he's written some amazing melodies for them, he is a main dancer for the team and Graduated at the top of his class in Arts school, he has a contemporary dance background, loves anime and manhwas/mangas, has an amazing voice) 6) V real name Kim Taehyung(1995) ( part of the dance line in the group /lyricists and songwriter for the team, has written some great melodies for them as well, plays the saxophone and the piano, has great interest in fashion and photography (which he does himself) as well as fine art/and contemporary art, has the deepest singing voice in the team, he is also a great Actor and has acted in one of the most popular south korean dramas of 2017 called Hwarang) 7) Jungkook real name Jeon Jungkook (1997) (Main vocalist/dancer, producer, lyricist/ and composer for the team/ he can do everything sing rap dance/ his studio name is the Golden Closet and he also videographs edits and produces a series of vlogs called the golden closet films featuring the members of his team, the most athletic of the team (black belt taekwondo, does archery, wrestling, track, boxing and bowling, and basicaly inhilates in overwatch on his free time) They use their lyrics to speak to fans about real things for examples their albums come in series and each series is based on a social, literary, or pychological concepts which are presented in their lyrics, music videos, art films and trailers, and these things are actually a part of a bigger storyline that runs through their music videos and album notes, live performances etc... called the BTS Universe/ BU and because they are big advocates for social awareness and self awareness they also happen to be very active when it comes to charity and use their platform to spread positive messages such as self-love, women empowerment, youth empowerment, gender and racial inclusivity, child violence/abuse. They have partnered up with unicef and also spoken at the UN general assembly and some members are honorary members at UNICEF and they recently partnered with formula E to help combat climate change. The point is they are not your typical boyband, each and every member has their roles and also have their own side and solo projects/songs and when they come together they make BTS a supergroup with a positive messages, and a dedicated fanbase varying in ethnicity, gender and age (from teens to 60s 70s). They've sold out wembley stadium two nights in a row and currently have one of the best selling album in the world right now, they went platinum on twice. PS. Sorry for the rant but I had to provide correct information. Hopefully you read it all or you can watch Who is BTS the seven members of Bangtan by Suga and spice and BTS contribution to music by xceleste and BTS from nobodies to legend 2019 by xceleste and the bts 2020 crash course by suga and spice as well. That is if you are still interested in watching and reacting to them. if not then thank you for giving them a chance and just so you know all of their mvs have closed captions and there are a lot of translation videos for all their songs and discography.

It kinda irritated me about the boy band comment since when have we ever in the US had a boy band like BTS? You’re lucky if some bands here in the US can do any choreography. I was a huge fan of the Backstreet Boys growing up but honestly they were never able to move like BTS. For me BTS are not just a typical boy band especially when they all are professional dancers. I’m glad you gave your honest opinion but I disagree with just another boy band comment. You have to listen to more of there songs and learn about the members backgrounds to fully understand them. Also there rapping skill are top notch.

Im a metal head and happened to bump into bts in a time of my life when I had to deal with a lot of difficulties with myself, was getting up on my feet after many years of lot of sh*t, learning to appreciate myself and not to let people put me down anymore. The love yourself era of bts just was what I needed at that time, needed someone to say to me that Im worth it and that I need to learn to love and value myself before I can continue my journey through life. Still battling with that, but the support from new found older army friends and bts songs has had a major influence for me. Tina, 42 years, Finland.

RM is a great lyricist who wrote for this song "I grew a flower that can't bloom in a dream that can't come true". The idea is sadly relatable and makes me want to listen to the song even more. The music itself is pretty melancholic but catchy, the highlight for me is the base, the synth line, and the guitar. The choreo and the MV also contribute to the meaning and provide another artistic experience. Talented team, I respect them

Bts Is south Korean group, this days people prefer don't mix them with kpop. (A large story) 1. They are 7, 4 vocalist, 3 rappers (2 underground rappers) all dancers 2. Bts compose and produce their own music, so is very personal, they talk about mental health, politics, society, their fans, self love, etc 3. They have a story behind their videos so is difficult to new people understand, we (the armys) have to read a several books and study set, philosophy, psychology and mythology to understand. Their last album for example was "map of the soul:persona" and is inspired by the psychologist book the map of the soul by Jung. 4. The army love them because they are good people who through a lot of bad things to be where they are now, and even being famous they stay humble. 5. They have a lot of genres and you can find subtitles in every possible language.

Bts is 7 member group. 4 vocalist 3 rappers . 2 of the rappers use to be underground battle rappers from Korea . Bts is more then just a kpop group , more then just a boyband who caters to just teenage girls ( FYI their fanbase is diverse of all ages and race ) their a movement! BTS is huge is because they separate themselves from other kpop groups . They want their music to inspire change , motivate people and spread positivity. And challenge societal norms / stereotypes. The English translation of their korean name is “Bullet proof boy scouts “ Their name connects to their music. Bts is respected because they tackle a lot of issues and societal problems that occur within Korea that also RELATES to anyone in the world. Korea is known for mental health and suicide issues. It’s considered to be TABOO to bring up sensitive topics like this. You have to understand the country is very strict and conservative. BTS music tackles topics such as mental health, suicide, depression, addiction, parent abuse , anxiety, generation gap and differences between the old generation and new young generation. And teaching people about self love and self respect .Their music connects to all ages/ gender : men , women , boy, girls . Which is why their fanbase is huge and VERY DIVERSE. So please don’t think their fanbase is just teenage girls .

As a dancer the dancing comment hurt my soul LMAO but jokes aside, there's a distinct difference between stereotypical boyband choreography and what kpop groups do. "boyband" choreo requires little to no intensive training, while kpop choreography tends to be on the more advanced scale, depending on the piece of course. It's insanely hard to dance most kpop choreography without proper training in dance, but I don't blame you for not being able to distinguish because most groups make their choreography look easy as hell. If you're not a big fan of dancing I'd recommend the group Big Bang, they do choreo sometimes but not too often and it's usually more simple :) Loved you video and your honest feedback!!

That’s interesting you point out the candy bar and toy room being every kid’s dream. BTS talks a lot about their dreams becoming famous and successful. They’ve reached Beetles level famous. So they reflect A LOT on their childhood and their dreams. When you mentioned the room, it made me think about how even as adults we all are still dreaming like a child of either love or success.

there are 3 rappers and 4 singers, and they have a big part in their song writing and music production; ik it looks like a big group at first glance, but they actually balance out pretty well and all play their own roles :) bts are super versatile in genres and don't just do pop! also the three rappers can switch up their flows well. so I wouldn't create a view of BTS from just one song, bc they do a LOT of different stuff lol this is getting long but one last thing !! bts put a lot of thought and double meanings (some don't translate well, especially their complex wordplay in rap) so I would suggest reading the lyrics as it adds a lot of depth!

I hope ARMY are not triggered with his comment "I don't like that".. overall he said its a good song but remember this song is not his taste of music and he doesn't like boy band.. so ARMY do your job, suggest BTS songs that are suitable with his taste of music.. me myself are not a fan of kpop and hip hop until i watch BTS mv 1year++ ago.. so if you into hiphop try listen to their hip hop song from the rap line. I suggest you listen to their coded lyrics and watch their live show. My favourite would be No. 1 is Cyphers 1- 4 and the live version BTS cypher medley live (they mixed cyphers 1-4) . No. 2 is Autro: tear (please watch the colour coded video for the lyrics and the live performance) .. the rap line have their own mixed tape. They make me love listening to hip hop songs.. I like your honest reaction and for not being afraid to tell what's you opinion and not chasing views by saying you like things that you actually don't like it at all.. 👍👍💜💜

Thank you for giving them a chance and your honest reaction!! Even though this might not be your cup of tea I'm glad you appreciate the overall work of them and as many other people here suggested there's a lot of songs from BTS with different styles... Even for me, being an ARMY, sometimes I feel like you "Hmm I don't really like this style or this verse here" but I love so many songs that disliking one thing here and there doesn't really affect me, and I also really adore their performances!!! Sometimes with those songs that I don't really enjoy the sound of it, just the performance makes totally worth it!!

Big BTS fan here: I kind of agree with you. When Fake Love dropped everyone was so hyped for it and I was just like "eh, this is ok but not my favorite." But the more I listened to it the more it grew on me and now the whole TEAR album is really high on my impossible to choose list of favorites.

Wikipedia - don’t underestimate the accuracy of wikipedia. BTS’s wikipedia page is really accurate. i suggest giving it a read to learn about them further. if you prefer watching videos instead of reading, i suggest “bts vs kpop” just because it’s really informative about several important subjects. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rBsZhHPA7t8.html Song recommendation/request: Ma City lyric video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rOCyL3SVsi0.html live performance: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CVdKuYyLLV8.html this song is under appreciated thats why i’m suggesting it. The bts members are all from different cities and provinces in South Korea though they moved to Seoul to pursue music and that’s where they all live now, so it’s awesome that they made a song about their hometowns that they love.

Did you seriously just called the rapline garbage? I understand you don't like it but it's not garbage to those who have been listening to BTS for YEARS and know the struggles they've been through to get to where they are today. Anyway I know it's your opinion and everyone has their own taste. The good thing about BTS discography is that the songs have different genres. There's even a storyline in each MV that connects them, many of us call it the BTS universe. There's a reason why J-Hope was laying in the mountain of candy bars, almost everything has symbolism. You should react to some of their old stuff like Mic Drop, Blood Sweat and Tears, Dope, Fire, Outro: Tear is another good one. There's A LOT of songs to choose from and I mean a lot! Have fun!

BTS do all kinds of genres; they are much larger than just "pop." They almost always have lines of their own in every song, yes all seven members; seven members also isn't a lot in Korean pop music. If you'd like to know more about how they write and share lines and how they feel about it. There is a wonderful video by *xCeleste* called *"BTS Contribution to Music"* and it explains all of that as well as who writes and produces their music. The rappers are the backbone of BTS. They write and produce MANY of their songs and almost always have some part of it, unlike most kpop idols who do not write any of their music, as well as the rappers make their own mixtapes. And the only rapper who did what you said was J Hope. J Hope switches flow literally all the time. I get that it's a reaction and you're being honest which is greatly appreciated, but you were pretty quick to dismiss the rappers as a whole. Don't like rap? Fine, but you said you did so I am not sure you were as open minded as you thought you were being. I think you were also just quick to dismiss them too for being a "boy band," which is quite frankly kind of annoying because it carries such a horrible connotation of being just the same shit different package, which they are quite far from. They started out hiphop in 2013. Went to more pop. Then they went to EDM. Even have some rock songs; such as the remix to Fake Love as well the Danger remix, which is quite frankly a oldie but goodie and completely underrated. Now they mix all genres and just do whatever they want when they want. There's tons of songs without the rap line as well as songs with just the rappers. As well solo songs from each member. Fake Love isn't their most popular song. Also it doesn't make sense to go by numbers either to determine "their most popular song" cause ARMY (the fans) we stream songs constantly in order to increase the views on their videos as well as rank them higher in the charts. Also, if you went by the numbers DNA would be their most popular song, and it's quite different from this as it's EDM. So not sure how you got this as their most popular song? I hope you give BTS another chance. I hope none of this came off hateful or mean! Thank you for watching BTS.

In kpop groups usually every member will have lines in a song (with the amount varying depending on skills). Kpop groups have designated positions you have the mains (dancer, vocal, rapper), leads and subs. Mains are typically the best at each position with leads coming second best and sub being the others. You also have the leader who generally keeps the groups close and deals with business in management and companies. For example in BTS RM is Leader and Main Rapper as he is the best rapper, Jungkook is Main vocal and lead dancer but Jin and V are sub vocals (amazing voices but don’t beat out Jimin or Jungkook’s). Of course there are some groups where members get no or barely any lines. But mostly, each member contributes to the song. A lot of groups also help with composing, lyrics, choreography etc

I know you said you didn’t like the way one of the members was rapping which is hoseok known as j hope but he doesn’t rap like that in all the songs. If you want to hear RM doing his thing, check out Timeless - Tiger JK Feat. RM, where RM pays respect to Tiger JK. Tiger JK is considered one of the grandfathers of Korean rap, and that song is a prime example of RM's writing and rapping skills. His lines in that track are filled with references to Drunken Tiger (JK's group's name) references, and his delivery is SO good.

BTW I liked the reaction and fun fact, there is no CG in the mv everything was happening in real time as they usually do in their music videos and you can see the behind the scenes for this video. There is an explanation video for this because you missed the lyrics which are pretty deep, and the visual context and symbolism of the mv because it is a part of their storyline aka BTS Universe. through which their videos connect. If you want to learn more about that watch the explained video by xceleste here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fyz0rhzRfJ4.html or the shorter version by Kpop Junkee: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NqlFQF11P8g.html And they have a very versatile discography. I recommend Mic drop remix, blood sweat and tears, DNA, Persona trailer, shadow trailer and their recent one is Black Swan (art film and spotify version). And each song and music video has a connection to the bigger body of work that is their discography and there are channels who connect the dots for the fan and have explained videos for the songs as necessary. As you react to them I would recommend you also wacth the analysis/ explained videos that are related to their mvs and songs.

BTS started off hip-hop. Three rappers and four vocalists. You’re really stuck on one verse of rap lol, that’s just one style that the rapper chose to do. They are super versatile. They write, compose, and produce their music, so not typical “boy band.” Two rappers came from underground hip-hop, third rapper is a street dancer, one singer have a contemporary dance background, one with some dance training, and just in general, they’re all talented. I normally would recommend Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix) music video as an introduction which is more hip-hop. If you want a little more pop, try Save Me. The rappers have their own mixtapes, I do recommend the music video for “Agust D” by Agust D (Suga’s other name) and RM’s “Joke” and “Do You” (former name is Rap Monster, so will go under that name). Actually BTS released two new tracks ahead of their new album releasing Feb 21, and one of them is an interlude called “Shadow” with just Suga (the one you like). The video is called “BTS’ Map of the Soul: 7 ‘Interlude: Shadow’ Comeback Trailer.”

Thank you for this honest reaction to BTS's Fake Love! Really appreciate it. If you like R&B, I HIGHLY recommend checking out Red Velvet's Bad Boy, Kingdom Come, Be Natural, Perfect 10, Eyes Locked Hands Locked, Light Me Up, Automatic, Sunny Side Up, etc. These girls vocals are some of the best in the industry. The songs I just listed are some of their Velvet side songs which are heavily R&B influenced. Their Red side songs are more Pop, bright sounding (with Rap elements) and more energetic. Also recommend checking out anything by NCT 127 and NCT U. Of course anything by EXO is also a must - they are the other monster boy group from S. Korea. I would start out with What Is Love - korean version - ooooh boy, the vocals on this one!
