Of course, It's like experiencing all over again. Reason why we value are kids... New great experiences are the best and when you run out of new ideas experience life through someone else's eyes
When he said "This is the best band I've ever heard....I've never heard anything like this!" 10,000 Boomers just stood up with iPhones lit up like lighters. I'm so happy to have grown up with this music. LOVE seeing young kids like this discover it. It is a thrill like hearing again for the first time.
"10,000 Boomers just stood up with iPhones lit up like lighters". Perfect. As an archetypal Boomer, it made me laugh and a little sad that we shall not see their like again. Thank you
@@cherylcarpenter4698 It's a generational thing. I am 65 and I do not listen to the radio and so I know absolutely nothing about what music is popular today. I'm sure there is good and bad, just like it's always been but I prefer my own choices.
I'm 70, I was just in an op shop in Sydney's Blue Mountains today. Over the speakers they were playing a Bowie song - We Can Be Heroes. There was a woman standing next to me, she must have been in her eighties, singing the lyrics. I was really captured by that moment and some hours later, I saw your comment. Couldn't resist sharing. :) BTW, I saw LZ in 1973. Totally lit. :)
Us older people lived through some of the best music ,im 66 and I'm going around my work singing sweet child in time and no one else in my work knows what I'm singing 😅😅😅
That song is 53 years old. Really. No autotune. No fake bullcrap. Real musicians playing real instruments. It amazes me that people haven't heard this before.
He’s practically a baby. He wouldn’t know about bands from 50 or 60 years ago unless he was exposed to it by older adults. It would be like a child of the 1960’s knowing about music from 1900. Thank goodness for the internet.
I got this album for my 15th birthday 1970 Try some Grank Funk Railroad too. Another band like this. .. I Drove my mother nuts day after day playing these songs. 40 years later my teen daughter my daughter drove me nuts with ACDC
This young man just has been baptized in the golden waters of the greatest bands ever! I had the pleasure of seeing them live. His reaction is priceless❤
I'm in NZ, when i tell young people i saw Michael Jackson live - they cant believe it, seen floyd, stones, bowie, ACDC etc but Never ZEP. Read somewhere a few years ago talk of a LED ZEP reunion world tour which they reckon wouldv'e grossed over $2 Billion
I am 64 years old and saw them live just before my 13th birthday and remember it often by wondering what the H### was my mother thinking allowing my 20 year old brother to take me and two friends to this concert! Guess she was in denial that he was a chemical dependent😮. However, my friends and I LOVED it!!!
72 y.o. I was 13. Too young to go to Woodstock Festival or attend LED ZEP show in Australia. Shite ! I danced my life on The Who, Led Zep and Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, in 1969, Santana played at our school. We were dancing on the stage with Carlos. I'll never forget that evening.
My 9yo son has taken a like to Led Z, Queen, Nirvana och most of all Guns n roses 🌹 he wanted vinyls, rock outfits and posters for his 9th birthday. Love that he is thinking ”out of the box” for being a kid. ❤️ He is a mini Axl Rose now 😂
I’ve been watching “reaction” videos for many years…. This 62 year old is SO stoked that these kids know GREAT MUSIC…. Gives me a glimmer of hope for the future! ROCK ON! 🤘🏼
I’m a 67 yr old grandma and I loved your reaction! I cannot believe you’ve never heard of Led Zeppelin gasp! It was a treat to share with you. Real talent, real music, enjoy 💕
Absolute class never dies. Yes still sounds brilliant, great to see younger generations recognising the brilliance of the music that came out of the 60s and 70s.
Was 16 when I was fortunate to see Led Zeppelin at the Forum in LA in 1970! Floor seats 14 rows back. Everyone rushed the stage when they sang Whole Lotta Love! Still my favorite rock band!
As a 66 year old man it warms my heart to see this young man discover this incredible band. Led Zeppelin houses of the holy tour was my first concert at Madison Square, Garden
They made themselves here. Just like many European bands not to left behind The Rolling Stones that became the Biker World American Anthem among Vietnam Vets and generations to follow.
Oh my GOD! I am SO HAPPY !!! I am 62, born in '62, and grew up listening to Zep, and to see someone from this generation getting into this,....kid, THANK YOU! It is so cool to see you like this!
U said it !!.This is REAL GUTS AND GLORY 1970'S ROCK AND ROLL. I'M IN MY SIXTIES AND PROUD BEING A BOOMER. MY KIDS GREW UP LISTENING TO ALL THE GREAT ROCK AND WILL TELL YOU HOW MUCH THEY LOVE IT. WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THAT TIME BACK AGAIN GOING TO GREAT CONCERTS
Yeah, I'm 62 now and this is one of the BEST BANDS that ever existed. Hands down. I'm so glad you've discovered them! I hope you listen to ALL of their albums.
I agree, you lived that era. I'm 60 and grew up listening to them, Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Doors, Hendricks, Joplin, Stones. Etc. Real music with instruments. You were lucky to be able to seen them all. I got to see Zeppelin and Sabbath. Sad now no Rock n Roll. Just dancing.
Witnessing someone for the first time feel Led Zeppelin in their soul is the best! It's a wonderful feeling isn't it? Welcome to the club and enjoy the ride✌❤
We had to wait, and wait for the next Zeppelin album. This lucky bum can binge listen to all their music. There's so much more to Zeppelin than "Whole Lotta Love". Hands down, the Rock band with the greatest amount of Power in their music. Hasn't been copied or equaled in all the years since. Their music is as fresh and enjoyable to new listeners as it was in the 60's and 70's.
Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Santana, Black Sabbath, The Who, Deep Purple, the Rolling Stones and the list keeps going on and on. The most creative generation of the last century and this century so far.
Every time younger kids say “these boomers” in a disrespectful way, just think of this, we were fed this incredible music since our early teens. Very very blessed.
I'm a black man and let me tell you, when this song came out, I WAS ROCKY IT - LOUD. The best rock group song EVER. Play this song around a girl and she knows, what's on your mind. The best part on hearing this song again, was checking you out hearing it for the first time and you loving it.
@TomCommoner in the 70's segregation was big but bands like Led Zeppelin's music transcended all of that, it united people all over the world regardless what was happening at the time everyone agreed it was about the music...
"what's race....got to do with anything?' For one, you might look into how ZEPPELIN and soooo many others took songs originally done by Black artists and built upon them, sometimes word-for-word, note-for-note, and reaped tons of rewards and acclamation for material that wasn't wholly original to them from the start. THEY dug into the race thing. For two, I don't think @laduoinvestments3749 may have been pointing anything out other than ZEPPELIN appealed to audiences outside of the basically white mainstream who made up most of their audience.@TomCommoner
I had my older siblings albums of Zeppelin just a couple years ago (Stones) everybody, everyone but threw them out because I couldn't find a needle for my old Hi-fi then found out a month later guy at New Hi-fi store said I probably trashed over $100,000+ in albums. Now if I could only remember where I put my GUN!
The reason you have never had a reaction like this to anything you listened to before is because Led Zeppelin was a supergroup. There was no one like them. The 4 musicians were so talented that when their drummer died, they disbanded - they couldn't bring in another person. Robert Plant's vocals were bluesy perfection and Jimmy Page was both inventive and heavy in his guitar playing. John Bonham was known as one of the best drummers in the world for his heavy, aggressive beats. And John Paul Jones played a melodic bass plus keyboards. Their music is timeless and transcendent - it feels the same today as it did in the 70's when it came out and it has this otherworldly tinge to it.
The best. Robert Plant still has it. I makw a point to see him whenever he tours. I'm a fool for the new stuff, the solo years and of course, Zeppelin. I think I've heard every song I've wanted to live except Tall, Cool One. I can die a happy lady if I ever hear him do it live for me 😂
Percussionist (as well!) Finally got to see them in St. Louis, had to sit with my boyfriend's drunk sister throwing up all night in the bathroom. Such a waste! I still hate to think about it. Threw a wake for Bonham when he passed, so harsh!
Man, I'm getting old. When a young man that's into music states that he's never heard of Led Zeppelin, it kind of breaks my heart. Glad he's being exposed to some really outstanding music and that he's appreciating it.
This was Led Zeppelins first song that was played on radio. It simply blew all us teenagers away, we LOVED it, our parents Hated it..... Led Zeppelin is probably the most iconic band in Rock history and they still sound good today.... Loved them right from the beginning when I was only 15 years old...
This was off their second album. The first I heard was track one of the first album, 'Good Times Bad Times', as it was first released as a single. But it was the side two track 'Communication Breakdown' that really launched them.
On weekends my husband and I sit and watch all these old videos on youtube. My husband starts to reminisce all the bands he saw growing up, and when he first smoked marijuana and so on.😂
This young brother's eyes have been opened! Welcome to my teen years. Zeppelin was the soundtrack of my youth. Even 50+ years later, their stuff still stands up REALLY well.
I LOVE the way younger people are trying to keep the music we rocked out to 50+ years ago. Keep it out there, don’t let any new generations forget we’re still here! Rock on bro. From a 70+ old woman with the spirit of the 60’s and 70’s. I am going out the same way I came in: kicking and screaming!😝🫶🫶
@@tonyakeldsen1782 youve never heard the original. And if thats your take can i come steal all your money coz i will use it with far more style than you. Theft is theft. They got sued. They had to pay. Theyve done it to others. Theyre leeches.
I am 70. I saw them in concert at 17 and again at 20. I have NEVER stopped loving their music. Listen to it several times a week. This is Great Stuff!!
With you. I am 71. Let’s bring our young brother in music which I say with respect and appreciation our music. Lynyrd Skynyrd guys were my friends growing up in west side Jacksonville. Freebird not solo but Allen Collins, Gary Rossington, Steve Gaines each playing their own way. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QxIWDmmqZzY.html
It was my first ever album I bought! Cranked my windows open on a first Spring day,in my first apartment, and let this blow at top volume! I’m 74 yrs. And still love it❤️
My 18 year old grandson has discovered bands like AC/DC,Led Zeppelin, Queen and so many more that I grew up with, because my daughter (His mother.) heard them growing up because I listened to them. She listens to them so now a third generation is discovering them and enjoying them. Music moves us in so many ways. Long live rock and roll.✌️
Welcome to the huge Led Zeppelin fan club. Your reactions are exactly what we felt when we first heard this music way back when. This is why we still love it all these years later
Agree whole heaftedly with you. It takes raw and rare talent to write so many songs to life a life times. Love them. They didn't believe in copying any other artists at all.
Wouldn't it be great to hear it for the first time again? In a way, it is kind of hearing it for the first time again, every time you hear it. It is that good.
The more times change, the more things stay the same! There are millions of us old people who also think that this is the best band ever! Hard to believe this song is over 50 years old.
Hey, what's with admitting to the fact that we're old? 😅 But yeah, you're spot on, Led Zep is the best. I have great memories of their albums as they were released, always something special from these gifted individuals. What a combination, I love each and every one of them for their huge contribution to rock n roll.
"Hard to believe this song is over 50years old!" Absolutely! To put music into perspective...It's hard to believe that JS Bach wrote music in 1758 that people are still "Jamming" to on piano and Orchestra. Zeppelin is going to be remembered for at least a few hundred years...In one way or another. Justain Bieber? Not so much, I think. I mean he IS good, but so was Hanson! What?
There's millions of us old people that know Deep Purple where a better band, live and studio, taking nothing away from zep but purple where top of the pile, forget all the hype Deep Purple reigned supreme in reality.
The seventies produced the best music. These people were real. No editing, no voice modulation just pure talent. Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles and more. I went to a lot of those concerts, it was a real as it seems now. I can still remember the first time I heard surround sound from the four enormous speakers everyone had, spinning LPs in those days, that was a ritual in itself. It was mind blowing.
Jethro Tull, King Crimson... so many. It wasn't just a list of incredible bands, but the whole time and culture it created. Every time you stepped out of your house, it lifted and energized you.
I agree, thank you for being open minded! They're still playing zeppelin's music on the airwaves today, I think they always will, they are timeless. Listen to their whole album "presence" every song is great! It's one of my favorites! Other bands I could suggest are Rush, Edgar Winter (frankenstein), Jeff Beck, there are so many. Have a great day!
I'm 75 and still listening to Led Zeppelin after 45+ years, there really isn't another band like them, they're so good. Just bought they're latest compilation album with all their most well known tracks and the ones I've loved and listened to over the years. Hope you get into Led Zep after the introduction!
Once you hear the rest of their albums you'll be addicted to them. Went to one of their concerts many years ago and it was like nothing you could ever imagine
I’ve got the good kind of envy here. I was too young to catch these guys in their prime or Hendrix, or the Doors, but my older friends would blow my mind with tales!
It's fun to see this guy discover the raw power and rock perfection that was Led Zeppelin in its prime. No one can sing like Robert Plant. No one can play the drums like John Bonham could. I think our young friend had his mind blown! Some songs never grow old.
@@MoRiley9 Except for maybe Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Howe, Brian May, Stevie Ray Vaughan, David Gilmour and Frank Zappa. But who's counting.
As much as I like LZ, I will disagree with the singing bit, Rob Halford, David Byrne, Bruce Dickenson, Pat Benatar,,, ALL great voices with great range...
I am 57 and I love watching this young mans reaction. This is my childhood, my teens, 20s and all beyond. I will never get tired of them. Awesome. I think I loved watching his reaction more than listening the LZ. This was great!
71 here, and I agree on watching the young man get initiated. When he grabbed his face in disbelief I about split my face grinning. This poor fella was😮😳 baptized in the blood of the TRUE pure rock gods. Praying he goes home and tosses his rap records, oops, CDs out for Good
As a 62 year old woman from Canada who grew up on this kind of amazing music...I so appreciate young people like yourself getting 'into' it and really appreciating the vibe! This is the coolest thing about the internet and music...people from around the world and different generations, appreciating each others music. Rock on!
I just want to tell you about the lyrics “back door man” he’s not talking about the backside, Robert plant wrote other lyrics that go “ I open my front door, I hear my back door slam” meaning there’s another man in the house and when her main man comes home the other man runs out the back door, so he saying he wants to be the back door man because the girl he’s singing about has a man already
I saw them in 1972 in Rochester, NY and my ticket was $3.50. No opening act, just pure Zepp for 2 1/2 hours. They played Black Dog and Stairway to Heaven before they were even recorded.
You nailed it when you said,"I've NEVER seen a band this good before," that is because there has NEVER been one this good before or since! Welcome to the Greatest Band to Ever Walk the Earth! -Dan
Led Zeppelin is one of the most revolutionary bands in the world ! In all of time! Seriously. You’re right, they were, are and will always be special. ❤
"Sensation in my Soul". No truer words were ever spoken by someone listening to 'The Mighty, Mighty LED ZEPPELIN'. So happy for you, young man. They are my favorite band of all time. ❤
Was there for the whole ride, starting in 1964 at age 6 watching The Beatles on Ed Sullivan, Even at six years of age, I knew this was something special.
I love watching people who are very different from myself physically (me being an OWL) learning about and appreciating the excellent music of our generation. Even people from other countries....music truly is universal. It affects us all in some kind of way.
all us oldsters here are so thankful that someone this young can appreciate classic rock. I miss rock music, I miss bands, I miss bands with many singers who can harmonize, I miss it all.
The song is over 50 years old, but Robert Plant is still out there making music. I saw him this month on tour with Alison Krauss, and he can still bring it.
i deliver logs to his house in mid wales(Robert Plant is rarely there)but when he is hes a good laugh--total respect to the BEST ROCK BAND IN THE WORLD EVER.--It was Jimmy Pages band really though.
I'm 51 and my mom is 75. I've never seen anyone rock harder to Zeppelin, while driving, than the two of us. I love seeing young folks getting turned on to the greatest era of Rock there's ever been!
@@laurapriest8257 My mistake. I thought you were talking about Zep, I didn't know Time Has Come Today. The Chamber Brothers or The Ramones? The Chamber Brothers were before my time. They were most likely played on 93/KHJ. The Ramones for some reason were not played in LA that I could remember.
@@laurapriest8257 I’m 63. I listened to Time Has Come Today. I guess later they added a guitarist and changed up the lyrics. I think it was a good move. Yeah Zep is just Zep. I started listening to them in Jr. High. I also was into Dianna Ross at that time. What a voice. Touch me in the Morning. Most of my listening was on 93/KHJ AM. I was in the Ktel record club. I listened to Roll Bounce Rock Skate. I remember the skating rinks, I tried it, wasn’t my thing. I’m not a fan of DJ remix. When I heard Kraftwerk in Planet Rock, I was turned off. But then when I saw that they gave credit to Kraftwerk, I felt differently. Kraftwerk, this album particularly means a lot to me. I will leave it as, It reminds me of a good friend that that had an unTimely death. I gotta leave it there. Parliament was Funky. Reminds me a bit like Toe Jam & Earl video game. 😊
“I was there when it was real”- my two grown sons get jealous when I say that, as we blast Led Zeppelin. I am 69, and I’m so glad I was young back then!
…..‘I’m not gonna lie this is the best band I ever heard’…… that right there, 50 odd years later and he is absolutely feeling it way way down inside….. says it all. Same impact to this day ❤
I remember the first time I heard this song I really could not believe that music packed that much powerful energy. The end of "What is and what should never be," too the very end of the song i love it.
@@toomanydonuts One of my favorites of all time. So good. I am also very particular to Fool In The Rain. John Bonham is a god. Listening to it right now his groove is just amazing.
“I’m not gonna lie…this is like the best band I ever heard!” I commend you GoldenChildRy for opening your ears and mind to Led Zeppelin. There’s hope for younger generations! Loved your reaction! ❤
I was a teenager in the 70s---------during COVID, my daughter decided to listen to the 100 greatest albums of all time. When she was done, she said she was so jealous cause I got to be a teenager during the greatest decade of music---and she's right, between the rock, the R&B, the country rock, disco, punk and beginning of rap, etc....---the singer/songwriters....yeah.....and they were still playing a lot of the 1960s music---great decade to be a teenager.
Thank you! You had this 65yr lady smiling ear to ear at your mindblowing discovery. Stairway to Heaven is still one of their biggest hits if you want to listen to another one.
@karendimaggio7512 - I know exactly what you mean. I'll be 60 in January, and I was laughing and singing along. He kept stopping the video at all the wrong places. Lol. My ex is such a big fan that they're all he ever listened to. So when our son was born he would sleep right through the music.
Wow!! I'm 66 yrs old and reliving the Zepplin through yours eyes is so gratifying! You show so much respect brother, thank you, thank you! These are the years of the Masters, Mozart of their time and eternity.
Yes very gratifying to see younger generations really enjoying this older music. When I was your age I enjoyed my parents music like, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis aka the killer, Elvis Presley, The Platters, and many many others. You'd probably like some of them also. When I first heard this song and others on the album I was 16 years old in the 70s. You might to try Alice Cooper, his music from the 70s and he's got this other song that was released quite a bit later Brutal World. There's also Black Sabbath, song War Pigs, Changes is a beautiful song, song Paranoid, song Children of the Grave , the singer is Ozzy Osbourne plus he came out with more great songs later on like Crazy Train, Hellraiser, No More Tears , Mama I'm Coming Home, Not sure , earlier Black Sabbath stuff is on the political side. ❤✌️
Same hear, 67,my formative teen years. Could t wait to go spend allowance on new record LP's at the Music House and old Corvettes, come home and turn up the volume , lol. Great memories
It's also fantastic seeing that I am not alone in blasting their music in my house in my late 60's. I never hear other houses on the block rocking out. My husband said he can hear our speakers from the driveway with the windows and doors closed. I love it. Think about the banging concerts when we cross over. No parking to contend with and the concerts will be free!!!! Holy crap the Stones tickets were going for about 300.00 each. We can't afford that. I hope they film the concert and show it on TV. I have seen the Stones a few times back in the day.
It is so funny (and enjoyable) to this old dinosaur, watching the kids discover the ancient masters of rock that we were groovin to when we were kids... and even got to see perform live... Still delivering the thunder after all these years. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Robert Plant (the vocalist you heard) is still around, still doing amazing things...
Imagine our joy when we find an old fuddy duddy and blow his mind with something fresh and equally good. Pretending music died is the saddest and most pathetic form of generational arrogance.
As a drummer, I have always admired and was just completed blown away by John Bonham, one of the best drummers ever in the history of music. I find it really cool, even a satisfying experience, to watch you enjoy something I've been listening to for 40 years.
It's really cool to see this young man enjoying this music😊 This band was from England...the folks from there were influenced by Black American Blues music (1960's-70's era)...They took their love of Blues music and morphed it into hard rock...now you see how it touches the soul. It's music with soul...from multiple cultures.
@@soniap1217 you know, I honestly felt that way. However, I’d have to disagree. I would t call it easier music. Just different ways to obtain cool sounds. And it really isn’t easier per se. Have you seen what it takes to synthesize some of these songs? I suggest you check it out if your inclined.
@@amyvincent6080 i love music in general it doesn't matter if is Beethoven or Nikki Minaj if i like the song it i like it...but we must admit that some musics are just genius, some musics are so easy to compose and some not
as a 70 year old, decades long fan of Led Zeppelin, I congratulate you on discovering this awesome band. As a suggestion, there are many other songs that they've done which would blow your socks off. To mention just a couple: Stairway to Heaven, Immigrant Song, Good Times/Bad Times, Dazed and Confused. Loved your reaction. New sub.
@@lisaevan4236I know my kids know all there songs and I saw them at age 4 when my parents couldn’t get a babysitter for what ended up being their last tour together . I can remember it like yesterday.

I love it when young people listen to the music of my time and are blown away by it. We boomers had some of the best music and musicians. Led Zeppelin still my favorite. Enjoy young ones!
In my opinion, Jimmy Page deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. How many people did he inspire to walk into a store and buy a guitar? And he wrote so many great songs, all a very peaceable thing. Yes, there are many great guitarists, but he is the face of rock and roll and a musician whose music will live on forever.
