i remember coming home on the underground after arcade fire played in hyde park, and every single person on the platform was singing the aaahs from wake up lmao

Still think you should have gone with the whole album. This is for sure one that benefits from the flow.

Tunnels. The first track. It's so gorgeous! So childish in the best way! Beautiful.

Now that you mention Kate Bush, Placebo had a great cover for running up that hill

One of the great band show closers of all time- Wake Up in concert is always a stunner. I'll be at Osheaga (Montréal) next month and it will be my 14th AF show-- first one was in 2004.

The whole album is tremendous, unlike anything else.

Just listened to the album for the first time a few days ago and this was definitely the standout track. Absolutely amazing and emotional album

Arcade Fire are amazing. I love this album but have a soft spot for Neon Bible album. I was watching your face waiting for your reaction to the change. We kept telling you to listen to Arcade Fire. Everything about them is good. Nothing more to say. Gush Gush. You know me and I hold them above Highly Suspect.

He obviously didn’t get the experience of seeing the film when it came out and bawling his eyes out then becoming a world explorer like I did. you have to live the song. It’s now 2023 and I could tell some stories

My first thought is that his voice sounds like an older David Byrn's voice.

I think that you're really missing the context of the album in interpreting this. It's called *Funeral* because several family members of the chief band members died while it was being written and recorded. It's not so much about growing up and maturing in general as it is about losing loved ones and having to move on.

This is a nice song, but I always preferred their song rebellion better.
