It's kinda what happened on my first game. Had a couple AWESOME approach shots and the buddy I with was like, "What the Hell?!" It all fell apart from there, though. Hooray, I'm a rookie! :)
I recently went Golfing for the first time, and i was driving the cart. I was with a very experienced golfer, and i drove within a few feet of the green and you would've thought i drove over a sacred burial ground of some type the way he reacted. The struggle is real as a new golfer trying to learn the swing of things lol.
@@user-zq6bi7rt8x Believe it or not i've taken it up and i'm super hooked right now haha. Just broke into the high 90's so still not amazing but have a few of those shots every round that keeps me coming back!
No one's cares about how anybody is great at golf , if you suck ,suck fast!! People out here trying to break 90 not keep your 135 score and explain to you why you suck😂
This is hilarious! Exactly how my husband was when I took him to a golf course for the first time! Lol! And then he really enjoyed playing and invited his best friend to play with us and he had never golfed before so i got to see this for myself twice within a month. 😂 It’s always so embarrassing being the one who has experience and still being the one that ends up missing the ball completely or ending up in the woods when you’re playing with someone new. Lol!
My dad recently started joining me to golf and he does everything you guys just did. He wears steel toed work boots, jeans, and button down denim shirts on the course. I constantly have to tell him to stop looking for the ball and take a drop. He goes into the woods and digs in the ponds for balls acting like he is every going to find his original ball. He said a putt was too far and grabbed an iron while he was on the green once. He drove up onto the tee box with the golf cart, no drinking involved. He putts out of every hole while people are staring at us, clearly waiting for us to get off the green. He picks up other golfers balls when they land on our fairway and says someone must have left this one, somehow in the middle of the fairway. You know what though, we were all beginners at some point and he's having fun and I have someone to play with so I'm good with teaching him etiquette as he screws up. Love the videos, keep them coming please.
Got tossed out of a cart when I told my friend who was a first timer how the 90 degree rule works. “ you mean like this” He took a sharp turn at full speed. Good times.
Funny. I introduced a buddy from work to golf. After his first tee shot we drove to his ball and he seriously thought he could tee up again in the fairway for his next hit lol.
This whole video is hilarious 😂 best part is I can’t tell who is worse! Some of the rules are just ridiculous and why I am afraid to go play somewhere fancy
We played a memorial golf tournament last week and I reminded everyone to be early and my sister goes “no thanks. I’m gonna show up at 6… when it starts.” What a rookie 😂😭
First round of golf at a course that had picnic benches at the turn, the 3 other guys i was with sat down and ate our dogs, said hi to the course owner as he drove by, and continued our 7 hour round shortly after. Was an abomination of a golf round, but a hell of a day. (We let a lot of people play through.)
My husband took me to the driving range for the first time this evening! I didn’t do too bad for my first time swinging a club but I was absolutely like Jake. 😂
This just reminds me how dumb some of gold etiquette is. Like not walking in the sand traps and not walking on someone’s line. This isn’t the PGA Tour, you’ll be fine. Also it’s ok to get hammered and drive a golf cart but not ok to talk on a back swing?? Golf is weird. Golf is fun.
I pretty much agree, but DO NOT walk on my line. Or talk during my backswing. Or slow down pace of play. Or ignore your divots. Oh, nevermind... Actually, the only one of those things that really bothers me is pace of play. Behind a slow group we're waiting, watching the nonsense in front of us. A slow player with us who lovingly stares at the ball after it's stopped, or who goes to their ball without a club to eyeball the lie before going back to the cart for the club, or takes 53 practice swings? Welp now WE are the nonsense and the pace of play on the GPS in our cart is not green, yellow, or orange. It's RED. THAT gives me anxiety.
I get what you're saying, but etiquette is there for a reason. It's mostly about being polite to your fellow golfer, but some things do effect the game. Walking in my putting line can mess it up. I'm no pro but I get my enjoyment from playing well and scoring low, so I'd like it if other people don't mess up my game. That being said, I'm not going to get mad at someone for doing something the wrong way
For me, if there’s already a conversation going it’s fine if your talking while I’m about to swing. It gets hairy for me when it’s dead silent and someone makes an abrupt noise of any kind.
the first time I played, another group's ball landed on our fairway. I "helped" them by picking it up and throwing it back to them so they didn't have to walk all the way over. the way he looked at me. I honestly didn't know any better lol
Love it! LOL! You HAVE to do your version of John Daly, to me the best golfer EVER! he would show up drunk, high and after partying the entire night go straight to the golf course and win!
