Their singer, Brittany Slayes, can pull off these crazy high notes live - even with a song like this at the end of the concert! I've met them and they're super cool and down-to-earth. :)

To Lulu : UTA does have some of the best hair in the business... check out their song "Awakening" for some good hair shots. ... BUT MOST PEOPLE DO LISTEN TO UTA FOR THE MUSIC . ... but you be you. Wouldn't have it any other way, lol. Anyway, UTA is one of those criminally under-discovered bands. They are out of Vancouver BC, and we proudly claim them as a local in the PNW. The singer, Brittney Hayes (er, Brittney SLAYES on all the albums) is another of those singer with some classical training.. there are clips on the net showing her doing a little opera. She and Scot just had their first baby about a year back, and the band is getting ready for a tour this summer/fall. Brittney got a bunch of European exposure for the band when she was included in the latest Ayreon project in 2023 and did their live shows this fall, filling a role that would normally be available for Floor (yes THAT Floor). Ill let other folks fill in more info about UTA and all the stuff they are doing. They are really an enjoyable, nice group of people who happen to be EXCELLENT musicians.

Canadian power metal band , formed in Victoria BC, in 2007 by lead singer Britnney Slayes (Hayes) and her partner drummer Scott Buchanan. Guitarist grant Truesdell does the harsh vocals. Guitarist Andrew Kingsley does some clean vocals. Kyle Sheppard on bass here, 3rd bassist of 5 the band has had. From their 3rd album, Time Stands Still in 2015. Their 6th album, Phantoma, should be out sometime this year, first single from that, Green and Glass, came out last week. It was supposed to be like Mad Max. I want to say they filmed it in the same place, but I'm not sure about that. Awakening (full band playthrough) is a popular first reaction song. @Kathy, Lulu, and Donna: Three Generation Reactions: Hey ladies! Nice of you to get to one of my favorite bands, Unleash the Archers! I love this band because like Nightwish, every member of this band is insanely talented. Given this, it is no wonder that Unleash the Archers won the Juno Award (Canadian Grammy) in 2021 for the album Abyss, which won 2020 Metal Album of the Year. That said, I highly recommend checking out the title track Abyss, from that album -- to see what happens when a metal band gets pulled through a wormhole. Lol As for Brittney Slayes, the vocalist, she is one of the few female metal singers I consider to be at the level of Floor. She can sing opera, as evidenced by singing Brindisi with the lead singer from Lord of the Trident. She has also cosplayed as Magic: the Gathering planeswalker Nissa Revane for the band Gatewatch. Other notable performamces include Fate of Man from Arjen Lucassen's album Star-One, a song based on the Terminator universe. Arjen is also a musical genius, bringing together singers and instrumentalists for Ayreon, as well as Star-One. Notably, Arjen found Brittney Slayes for Fate of Man because of a karaoke video from the end of Unleash the Archers' 2017 tour in Europe, in which Brittney "slayed" an Edinburgh bar in Scotland singing a cover of Queensryche's song Queen of the Reich. Check out that video for a note that gives the listener chills and.goosebumps! Lastly, as others have said, Unleash the Archers just released a single called Green & Glass, for their upcoming album Phantoma, due to drop on May 10. And, just like the previous two albums of Apex and Abyss, Phantoma looks to be another concept story album. In case you're wondering, Unleash the Archers has even given away opportunities to play Dungeons & Dragons with fans, playing a campaign based on the Abyss album. As for Tonight We Ride, this video was an impromotu video shoot when the band went to Burning Man in Nevada, I believe in 2016 or 2017, which is where the video was shot at. Yes Brittney is a great singer for sure. I noticed you haven't done a reaction to Ayreon yet. I hope this will change soon. Ayreon and Star One are a project by Arjen Anthony Lucassen where he asks singers and musicians from all over the world to do a few concerts in the Netherlands. Their latest video release was The Sixth Extinction and that performance includes Brittney. FYI the tall lady doing the backup vocals in the middle is Irene Jansen the sister of Floor Jasen. Great reaction UTA are a great band . Fun fact - as someone has mentioned the vocalist Brittney Slayes recently filled in for Floor Jansen at the latest AYREON live concert - they've just released the video of " The Sixth Extinction " - well worth checking out and I think you would LOVE Ayreon . They're not really a band as such more an ensemble of some of the best musicians and vocalists in Rock and Metal from all over the world brought together to perform his musical fantasies by Dutchman and all round musical genius Arjen Lucassen . Would love to see your reaction to their stuff !
