Now The Rev. Al Green 💓 I have loved Al since the late sixties, I was a teen when I found this amazing singer. He was incredibly popular, women went crazy over his voice, then he had enough of the life in spotlight and went back to the church to give his message to the people. He did full circle, being brought up to revere the church & it’s hymns, then the family moved from the country up to Michigan where Al discovered a new kind of music and began singing the music of Motown… well his father kicked him out of the home and young Al wandered around singing & did have a band, then he was discovered by his agent and went on to become a huge r & b singer… this went on for years until he felt the church calling him home & from then to present day is a preacher ( bringing him full circle).
