Unity in Diversity is the real definition of India. There is so much in Indian culture , that me even as an Indian is unaware of. The different colors of India represent it and make me feel proud .

There's a saying in India - kos kos par badle paani, chaar kos par baani. It literally means - every 3 kms the taste of water changes and every 12 kms the dialect/language changes 😊💜💜 That's how diverse India is, and still, we are all Indians first 💜💜💜💜💜

They were all one of the best singers from different regions of India. They are very different from Bollywood singers because they sing "regional classical music" and take huge huge pride in it (as they should) and also, as you can clearly see here, each and every form of regional music has their own traditional instruments and different style of singing as well as different languages. This performance was beautiful in every manner!

Yeh fitoor mera - sung by Arijit Singh and music by Amit Trivedi 3.Taake Jhanke - Sung by Arijit Singh and Music by Amit Trivedi. He has not sung 2&3 but his music work is just 🔥 . I’ll suggest more afterwards but for now u can enjoy these 3 …🙂😃

These are all compositions of Amit Trivedi, he has plethora of music. Every song has something new and you can actually listen to each one of these songs individually as well. they all have a different charm

This man has one of the realest smiles.😁 All these performers belong to different states of india having different languages,music and culture brought together on the same stage by the man himself,Amit. That's why the name of the performance is Sound of the Nation. Amit Trivedi is not only a great singer but an even better music composer.

Let me say that's the all songs are from different states different language and different singers and the songs are old to that's why some artists are old there is no comparison of vocals because that was not there prime but the main thing they want to express INDIA they took 6,7 different language songs that's not whole india songs but some states most popular ones

India has 29 states and each state has its own culture , traditions, food, music, and even there are variations within a state. Even we indiand are unaware of many and many things. It will take more than a lifetime to understand India. We live in a diverse mystic land of religions, culture but united by one emotion Bharat(India).

omg so glad you found this!!! this is such an accurate representation of a sliver of Indian music. the reason I say sliver is cuz these are all songs that Amit Trivedi had composed himself that are from these different states. some other composers you absolutely must check out are Sachin Jigar (start with their rendition of Laadki from coke studio), ajay atul (you can pick up anything from the soundtracks of either sairat/dhadat or agneepath) and even arijit singh 's compositions although those are primarily in bengali. you absolutely must listen to more coke studio stuff from both india and pakistan tho! pasoori, chhaap tilak, rang and so much more! your reactions bring me so much joy! it's like seeing a friend discover new music!

The last song love you Zindagi Zindagi means life. And you guessed correctly, the sounds were from different states of India in the language of that state and the artists are famous artists of that state and they are singing in their regional or state's official language.

The concert opens with a famous couplet written in Farsi by Uzbek Amir Khusrow, when he first visited Kashmir in autumn for the first time (sometime around the 13th Century CE). The lyrics are: Agar firdaus bar roo-e zameen ast, Hameen ast-o hameen ast-o hameen ast "If there is ever any heaven on earth It is here, it is here, it is here" Amir Khusrow is a Sufi poet, and a disciple of Nizamuddin Auliya of the Moinuddin Chisti order of sufis. He was both highly educated, a polyglot and military man, who wrote some deep poetry.

If you want to go deeper in Indian music you can cheak out different music from different regions. Like I am from West Bengal ( home state of Arijit and shreya) so I will recommend Bengali songs.

Actually, Amit is Directing and is using different artists from all over the country (who are just local artists and sing in their local language) and created this performance "SOUND OF NATION"... (Amit Trivedi is music director as well as Singer, he composed all these songs.). In the end of the performance, he said that every music composer has a dream and his dream was to use these beautiful voices and songs and unite them, and he got his chance on this platform. He's my favorite, he's just awesome.

Omg... This has the song "Chaudhary". Amit Trivedi is a singer and music director. I love the song Chaudhary which was a coke studio rendition of a classic folk song. You should listen to it very fun and peppy song with classical and western instruments
