Still, somewhere inside me, there is a little life remaining.. A new heartbeat came up, I got to know that I am still alive.. Some such tenacity is there in this moment, where was this moment of mine.. now it's in front of me, should I die or should I live a little.. should I kiss joys, or should I cry a little, should I die or live for a while.. (as if) the body burning down in the sun got the shade of a tree, like the smile of an angry kid came back on a little cajoling.. something like that is what my heart is feeling now, on the years old wounds, there is some balm applied some such mercy is there in this moment, where was this moment of mine.. now it's in front of me, should I die or should I live a little.. should I kiss joys, or should I cry a little, should I die or live for a while.. like a kite with broken string was this life of mine, today I'm there, whether tomorrow takes place (for me) or not (is not known), was my story everyday.. (he was unsure of how long he'd live) now a new bond calls me from behind, why does a worry for tomorrow trouble me, such a prickle is there in this moment, where was this moment of mine.. now it's in front of me, should I die or should I live a little.. should I kiss joys, or should I cry a little, should I die or live for a while..

It's a movie song , the premise is when the protagonist reunites with his estranged sister , it's his feeling of healing and happiness , of finding a purpose in his lonely life to live the moment of this reunion to eternity . This song is my all time fave of Sonu Nigam , but he's a legend and has a bouquet of such melodies in his kitty , check tanhayi , yeh Dil dewana from pardes and Suraj hua matdham to name a few. For me, Sonu Nigam is hands down the best male singer or vocalist in our time and age out of India. His voice is rich regardless of the range he takes on and he sings effortlessly. His vibrato and microtones are amazing and mimics the style of the great legendary singer Mohammed Rafi. He is probably the only singer who could come close to singing in the style of Rafi. He has been out of the limelight for a while and we do hope to see more of him.

In terms of seniority Sonu Nigam is senior to Arijit Singh for that matter he is even slightly senior to Shreya Ghoshyal and is considered to be the greatest vocalist in leagues of legends among indian artists whom the batch of juniors like arijit and others grew up idolizing.But no matter how much more we like to hear from him,his time in industry has clearly passed and the stage now belongs to the younger generations like arijit singh and others.But in terms of vocals alone nobody beats sonu nigam and shreya ghoshyal period.

After Sonu Nigam you need to hear the Golden quartet of Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammad Rafi, Asha Bhosle and Kishore Kumar. Only Asha Bhosle is alive out of them. Hear the songs sung by them from 60s to 80s. You'll be blown away.

The first Indian musical sound was OM. OM is a sound use to refer Lord Shiva. One supreme hindu God. This is a form of art written by our rishis in ancient times. N we proud Indians has preserve our vedas n ancient scripture from where all these are taken n learned. Indian classical music is a different world. If u seriously want to know about these form of art in depth it will take ur entire life. Hope u explore as much as possible. Our music is based more on natural sounding instrument like guitar, tabla, sitar, harmonium, etc. So that we can connect to Lord easily. That divine energy which flows through universe. We indians are proud that no other music in this world comes closer to Indian classical when it comes to connect the supreme energy n also technically. 😌. I listen to music of all over the world . But not like Indian music it's beautiful heavenly. God's own music. 😌

So, this performance was divided into two parts actually....he started with some lines, written by his friend and very talented writer 'Ajay jhingad' who lost his life at the age 42. So those lines were dedicated to him, and then he started a song 'Abhi mujhme kahin' which is from a Bollywood movie originally sung by Sonu nigam himself only. Sonu nigam is extraordinarily talented artist....listen to his more live performances he is phenomenal singer also he is a phenomenal mimicry artist he can mimic and sing in lots of different voices even in female voices. He also understands Jazz very well so you can find a beautiful amalgamation of Indian and western style in his songs. All the best.
