This is ITALIAN. Andre Bocelli is Italian. Most of the most famous operas are in Italian, though there are German operas and other languages as well. Italian is similar at times to Spanish when you here certain words or read some of them.

Exactly. Vidi cor meum is my other favorite opera but it was written by an Irish composer and based on Dante Alighieri's Vita Nova. It was used in the movie Hannibal.

What I find most interesting is each of these countries are unique when it comes to their music. I argue and say the best operas are typically Italian. The best orchestral works are typically German. The most sensitive is French and the most fiery passion is typically Spanish.

Operas are in Italian, French, German, and Russian, and Operettas are in the languages and include English and Spanish, Operettas have the dialog spoken not sung, they sing only the song. Guilbert and Sullivan and Broadway Musicals are Operettas.

Just saw Andrea Bocelli in concert this past Friday, and his voice was just incredible! His voice was strong and vibrant and sounded even better than it did years ago. Have been a fan since the mid 90's when he first became known...a true master vocalist.

Andrea. What a voice. I remember him as a young man. One of the best memories I have of him was when he sang "Nessun Dorma" in front of the packed stadium beside his friend, fellow Italian, and Leicester City coach, Claudio Ranieri when Leicester won the Premiership.

Yes, yes, yes!!! Don’t miss him with Ed Sheeran and Celine Dion. You can appreciate his voice in more contemporary pieces as well. Hearing Ed Sheeran sing in Italian is awesome. The video that goes with “Perfect’” is fun to watch. Ed travels to Italy to cut this version with Bocelli. You get to see his family and it is clear that Sheeran is blown away by this man’s talent. Bocelli is such a gifted individual. Glad you discovered him!

I first heard this song several years ago in Las Vegas, when the Bellagio hotel had it synched to their outdoor fountain show. It was the Sarah Brightman duet version. Come Christmas this year, you need to react to Bocelli's version of "What Child Is This", a duet with - wait for it....Mary J. Blige! Goosebumps & tears guaranteed!

The reason why Andrea Bocelli can be intimidating to anyone who sings with him, is because he can also hold those big long notes ...and that is what David Foster said of the man. He is legendary. If you could checkout or react to La Voce Del Silenzio - Live From Teatro Del Silenzio, Italy / 2007 ... it's amazing. Elisa is also quiet amazing in this duet.

First, I wanted to thank both of you for sharing Elvis with the new generation. I was lucky enough to have seen Elvis eight times live in concert. I fell in love with him when I was five years old and I’ll be turning 66 years old this year years ago, there was no charge cards so you had to sleep in the street and sleeping bags for days waiting online to get a ticket to see Elvis Presley. Needless to say I would’ve stood in line sleeping in the street for a lifetime Just for that one moment when he walked out on stage biblically, it was like the parting of the Red Sea. He is my American hero. I’ve seen him and fell in love with him at five years old and that love has never changed through the eyes of that five year old child. God bless both of you and thank you so much for what you do.

If you want to hear a truly moving song you guys simply must check out Andrea Bocelli & Mateo Bocelli (son) Fall On Me. There’s a version that is partly Italian and an English version. I don’t speak Italian but that was the first version I heard and I swear I knew what Andrea was saying. It made me feel very emotional. Then I heard the English version and I was blown away by how accurate the words were in line with what I had thought he was saying. You weren’t really that far off by saying Spanish because I’ve noticed that many Spanish and Italian words are very similar.

NO, Asia and AJ, he's singing in Italian. He has been known to sing in Spanish, but this is Italian.. and he is Italian. He is a blind, awesome opera singer. I love a ton of world music. Of course I don't have a freaking clue what's being said but that's ok. I enjoy the overall music. A good one by him you should check out is "Sogno". A good Chinese song is "Tian Mi Mi" by Teresa Teng". And try "Intern A Trent'Anni" by Mimmo Locasciulli.(Italian), and for some Spanish/Mexican, "Golpes en el Corazon" by El Ejemplo. You could go down a serious rabbit hole with world music.

I promise you’ll listen numerous times. *BTW, Andrea Bocelli’s (pronounced, BO-CHELLI) is supreme. The absolute pinnacle. “Con Te Partiro” translates from Italian to “Time to say Goodbye”. Like opera, you feel the emotion even if you had no idea which language. Bravo 👏🏼 ✨✨
