Nice reaction! This video was recorded by RU-vid reactor BigAngieFan(aka Chris Walker) who went to Norway during the summer where Angelina held a number of concerts which all sold out. She had fans travel there from all over the world. I think Chris actually left you a comment down below in your comments section. One of my bucket list items is to go see her live because I heard from many fans that were there that she sounds even better live!

Martin & Turner may have tried to copyright House of the Rising Sun, but it is, In Fact, an American Folk Song whose writer is unknown! It was recorded first by Texas Alexander in the 1920's and later covered by Leadbelly, Woody Guthrie and Nina Simone (the version the animals heard!) but portions of the song can be traced to old English folk songs and the Lyrics of this version are at Least 100 years old!

House of the rising sun was made famous by the animals in 1964, however it’s an old blues/folk song going back well over a hundred years. The first known recording of it was done around 1929.

Gloomy Sunday, her 2013 audition to Norway's Got Talent, when she was 7, which was aired in 2014 and then immediatly went viral. 2. Fly Me to the Moon, live on The View, was her US debut later in 2014, and also went viral. It gathered more than 34 Million views on RU-vid, and many more on Facebook. 3. I Put a Spell On You, the song where Screamin' Jay Hawkins got his nickname from, has 10 Million Views so far. Her cover is closer to his original than most well known covers of it. She was 9 years old here. 4. Feeling Good, in a version sung on TV in 2016 while still being 10 years old, though she already started to perform the song in public about a year earlier. 5. A Million Years ago, one of 11 Adele covers she did, as an impressive acoustic home studio recording. 6. Shield, from 2018, was the third original she relased that year at 12 years old. It is about the protection and support she gets from her family. 7. Bohemian Rhapsody, in her own stripped down arrangement on AGT the Champions Season 2, wowed everyone, including the group Queen themselves, who twittered "Wow, what a performance of Bohemian Rhapsody!" 8. Million Miles, which she wrote and produced together with Stargate, is about the loss of a close person (her grandfather), and was the first song she released 2020 with Republic Records. 9. 7th Heaven, her 2nd song with RR from 2021, is encouraging people to persue their dreams, like she did. 10. Suspicious Minds, done 2022, is an Elvis cover as unique as Bohemian Rhapsody was.
The internet is a wonderful thing... even when I was younger if you couldn't afford the album and not able to get to a concert the radio was all you had and had to call in a request or sit and hopefully they play the songs you want to here. Now we can time travel and see great performances you never thought you would see. ✌✌
Alot of folks don't like these live reactions I do (well over 200) But I understand that the audio can be imperfect. I've been to 100's of concerts and the true talent of an individual or group will shine performing live there is no hiding your flaws. @@LostRoadReactions with good singers and musicians, I tend to prefer their live performances as they are more raw and intense as polished studio recordings. Angelina has some live studio recordings of het originals meaning they were recorded in one take. She has done a lot of indoor live recordings with excellent quality during contests, tv shows and such. So you are in for a treat with her :-)

I subbed on the Bohemian Rhapsody reaction but the comments were off. Angelina was a child prodigy at six years old and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8 after her initial audition at 7 yo singing jazz icon Billie Holiday's Gloom Sunday and the video went viral. She later was asked to appear on America's Got Talent, The Champions, which you saw at 13 years old. The video you just watched was from one of her 3 concerts she performed in Norway this past summer at 16 yo. After being pursued from many Record labels since she was 8 years old, including Disney, she agreed to sign with Republic Records (UMG) in 2020 at 14 years old as a "high priority" artist. RR agreed not to hype her until she finishes high school in May and RR has said to expect her first original album with RR later this year. To appreciate the talent of this musical genius you should see some of her earlier videos between 8 and 10 yo. House of the Rising Sun, old folk song, the Animals made a big hit out of it. There is a version of it by AJ copied over from TikTok with her playing an electric blue guitar that is world class, in case you ever come across it. Often called the girl of a 1000 voices, AJ creates new voices for many of her songs. She has a seemingly bottomless vocal tool kit to work from. Yes, she was on AGT Champions and got the golden buzzer from Heidi Klum at her audition so she moved straight into the finals where she sang Yellow Brick Road. AJ did not sign the standard contract with AGT and many feel that she did not win because Simon would not have had any money coming in from her career... we may never know but her performances were widely acclaimed.
Yes, unfortunately, the US is one of the most capitalistic countries for music, and there’s always contracts over contracts here. You have to figure, the people who placed 1-5 in the AGT competition, all had a contract with Simon (or his companies) and Angelina Jordan who placed 6th, did not. She’s obviously did better then any of the other 5 ahead of her, but it’s okay, she got the recognition on an American TV channel (plus Facebook, RU-vid, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok) plus she ultimately got signed to a handsome deal where she gets to keep all of her masters of all her work, with Republic Records. Her “family” or Shield, kept almost all of the outsiders, outside, all still waiting and staring, but it’s their own greed that kept them there, but of course, this is all my own opinion.

Angelina was clearly the most "talented", leaps and bounds above the rest for sure. The "super fans" is just nonsense as Simon is actually the "super fan", if you do not bow down to Simon (Angelina did not) then you have no chance. We all get it, some don't.
Thanks Chad. 'House of the Rising Sun' was a song by The Animals from the early to mid 60's I believe. 'Killing Me Softly' was a song by Roberta Flack in 1973. I loved both songs when they came out and Angelina kills them both. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent' When she was 8 yrs old after entering the competition at age 7. She sang Bohemian Rhapsody' on America's Got Talent The Champions at 13 yrs old because of her win on NGT and got the Golden Buzzer from Heidi Klum. 👣 Andy has given you a pretty complete history so I leave that to him. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT which would give Simon any control over her career. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on RU-vid. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles.
