@@kapacb2412 It plays for Petra so it is her theme but the actual lyrics is Eren's song to Mikasa. This show, foreshadowing events not even written in the manga. 😢 BTW, "No Matter Where You Are" is Mikasa's song to Eren, different lyrics sung in Japanese but on the same rhythm as Call Your Name. Both songs are worth a reaction 100%.

I'd recommend trying out Zero Eclipse, Bauklotze and Call your name. Since you've heard ymir's theme here, I'd recommend going Zero Eclipse next as it is historia's theme. There's also a mashup of both themes together by Samuel Kim, Call of Silence X Zero Eclipse, worth checking out as well.

Call Your Name was actually the ending for the OVA Lost Girls: Wall Sina Goodbye. It’s has 2 Parts & centered around Annie. Since we didn’t get much screen time with her character, it would be a good OVA for you to watch.

There's also a third part centered around Mikasa in an alternate universe when her parents were not killed, which I think could be interesting for him to watch, especially after having finished season 4 due to its heavy forshadowing.

To be more specific, there is the male version of Call Your Name (the original song version) which is Eren's song to Mikasa in S1 of the anime. Then there is a more somber female version in the Lost Girls OVA ending Finally there is "No Matter Where You Are" which is Mikasa's response to Eren. Different song, different lyrics but it uses the same tune and rhythm as Call Your Name. This one is definitely the most sad. All three are worth a listen and reactions.

I think she finally made her own decision to do "good thing" when she chose Rhiner and Bertholt over Histria. Bertholt said "Someone please someone find us" and Ymir was the only one inside the walls who knew what they had to deal with. I think she was satisfied with her decision. She said "It wasn't so bad, you know... being a goddess for a while." although she once played a goddess and regretted it.

It feels like it was such a long time ago and at the same time feels like a week ago when I found your channel reacting to AoT first anime ever, even though the waiting during episodes was hard now it seems like that time passed so fast. If I remember correctly, Ymir’s backstory was shown way sooner in the anime than it was in the manga. So we basically saw her entire story arc resolved in the span of a single season, that’s why it felt like she got sidelined so hard.

Yeah this hits right in the feels, Ymir was my favourite and I shipped her and Historia so hard. I get that she left because Bertholdt and Reiner would have just kept attacking until they got their hands on something, but I feel like she could have done more to protect her by staying and giving the Eldians information and whatnot. It does sort of feel like she just got yeeted out of the story after having just a deep background and it also makes me so sad for Historia.

She didn’t leave so Bertholdt and Reiner wouldn’t stop attacking humanity. She left with them so they had a chance of living just like the chance they gave HER of living, she felt she owed them. Historia said it herself to Ymir, why don’t we live for ourselves from now on? She did. Ymir at the end of the day is a selfless person, she lived for herself by sticking to her morals and doing what she does best, help people. Her entire existence has been helping people, the cult, the 104th, Marley, but in her final act, she released all that by dying, which honestly, ending in this world, was the greatest gift of all, it was FINALLY selfish. But even so, what it did was give back a power to a people who didn’t deserve her, but who also saved her, so essentially, Ymir has done yet another act of selflessness which unfortunately happened to be wrapped with the stench of those who would threaten her only love, who despised her, Porco talked shit about Ymir, and I’m sure others did too. Ymir is harsh and blunt but the contents of what she says and does tell a completely different story. I really think Ymir is one of the best written characters in this show, but I agree with most of everything you said, I wish we got more with her. I just wanted to explain how it would make sense for her to go save them, not for the sake of humanity, but her own, which in a way fulfilled what Historia wanted of her. I SERIOUSLY AM PISSED ACTUALLY, I wish we got a kiss at least with them two 😭

Ymir saved reiner and berry, laying on the wall after s2e12 saying “you guys can take me back, I’ll pay for what I stole, it was a good life” this show man :/ Edit, also the lyrics in this are a bit off, but the closed captioning had them right, the last thing said is “you guide us far, to home, yet girt” which I believe means “stay safe”

the subtitles are all over the place....in some parts the video subtitles are correct and the youtube ones are wrong....and in other times the youtube subtitles are right and the video subtitles are wrong....
