You wouldn't believe how many albums AZ has in his catalogue. And to top it off? He's ACTUALLY consistent. Dude is an absolute Gem 💎 of a Rapper. Plus his tracks get laced with some dope A$$ Beats. I owned this Album back in 98' riding in my brother's 1992 Maroon Toyota Celica GT w/the Sunroof. He had a decent system w/ a 6 disc CD changer in his glove compartment, lol. One of the albums that got constant rotation in the CD changer was THIS album by AZ & Big Pun's "Capital Punishment" back in 98'. Another one was the "Moment of Truth" album by Gang Starr too. We were rockin' that REAL HIP HOP shit. Me & my Bro took those 3 CD's & dozens more with us on the road through the panhandle of Texas, New Mexico & Arizona BLASTING it in his system driving through small towns & back roads. This album/CD will always be locked into my memory. And this particular song you reviewed featuring NAS was one of my favorite tracks from the entire album. Definitely Top 4 or 5 song from the whole CD. AZ & NAS were like Brothers during this time. Most of us fans were actually hoping for a project from them, aside from their Firm project with Foxy & Nature. Nas was expected to & suppose to give AZ, Nature & Cormega a little more shine & more exposure to the mainstream audience but that never happened. Nas & Cormega had a small beef & a little falling out so they're not as close as they use to be. I think Nas & AZ just grew apart & eventually stopped doing as many projects together but they have a lot of songs from their past together. Nas & Nature I don't think were really ever that close BUT both were expected to do a few more projects together. Nature is another underrated MC but I don't think his debut album was well received. Nas was suppose to put a couple Kats from his City/or Burrough on the Map but that kinda fell through. AZ kinda did it on his own while being one of the most underrated Rappers in the entire Game. He barely got the respect & recognition he deserved just within the past 10-15 years. His nickname is "Tha Visualiza" aka. AZ Tha Visualiza & his name is derived from Anthony Cruz. AZ stands for "A" (Anthony) & the last letter of his last name (Z) stands for "cruZ". Therefore his name is "AZ" (Anthony Cruz) Aka. Tha Visualiza.

Definitely got to do “The essence” there isn’t a song that epitomizes their chemistry like that one, but if there’s a song they did where you can say Nas shined it’s “everything is everything remix”, heavily underrated I’m not even sure what it dropped on I think some mixtape but the original everything is everything is off of “9 lives” which at least got a few classics that need to be reviewed, and “The essence” is off of “Aziatic” which I think everyone will agree that whole album needs to be reviewed
