The MV starts out much like a children's TV show. They were kids at the time. The future of kids is unpredictable. No one expected them to perform at Tokyo Dome and tour Europe, America and Australia in the future. No one thought there would be so many people in the world who love them so much. ♥️🦊
I read their budget was really low when making this video. Their clothes were borrowed, the band had black clothes with white tape and the girls had to teach them the dance moves. They did a great job with the tools at their disposal! Love it.
The opposite song of "Doki Doki ☆ Morning" is "Uki Uki ☆ Midnight". Yes that actually exist. The first three song from BM is "iine", "Doki Doki Morning", "Uki Uki Midnight". That three songs is included in Sakura Gakuin album under BabyMetal as sub unit on 2010. So 2013 onward BM became independent and their songs doesn't inlcuded in Sakura Gakuin album anymore. If you guys try to search early Sakura Gakuin album, you actually can see some of BM early songs listed inside the album. That's why SG is such a big role on the very first step BabyMetal paths.

When he said "it sounds like the most Baby metal song of them all", i came down to think that doki doki is actually the very first song they ever made, combine it with the fact they were also the very first people to try out this music genre, and maybe that is the reason why
To the uninitiated....when a Japanese person is nervous or excited, instead of just saying so, they will quite often flutter a hand over their chest and say "doki doki doki" which imitates the sound of an accelerated heart-beat. The title of the song loosely translates as "excited heart-beat morning."
Where everything started, you might be at Sonisphere where they blew up internationally but we were not so many around this year when they released this and of course the wtf effect was there too 🤯 🦊🤘🔥
When they started, CGI in videos were nuts! The floating heads are kinda creepy, but it was a thing (cute/creepy). Band was pre-Kami band, so lots changed over the years.
@@GOTGames you should of seen the look on none BabyMetal fan customers faces and bar staff . Loads of denim and leather clad men jumping around singing Doki Doki Morning 🤣🤘🦊
Sakura Gakuin had over 10 members, but only these 3 were in the HeavyMetal group. The Babymetal segment became so popular, in 2013 they made it a separate entity apart from the idol group. They became a real band and hired real musicians.
What I love about the early BABYMETAL tracks, is how totally invested and committed these kids were to the whole metal thing! They were metal at 12. Now, they are the queens of metal. I’ve always been a huge Moa fan. Then, it was just wow she’s so cute and committed. Now… it’s more on the “wow she’s so cute!” Side lol ❤
The guys in the skeleton outfits in the video are baby Bones in the early days of Babymetal they couldn't always afford a live band so in early shows they had baby Bones on stage pretending to play instruments and then the actual band would come out the last part of the show about the last five songs and play live
this was their first hit in Japan, when the girls were ages 13 and 11. I gather that they had minimal support from the production company. And, the rest is history.
"the most "Babymetal" Babymetal song ever" - I believe the word you were looking for is "quintessential". Yes. Always more Babymetal forever! :) 🦊❤️🤘🔥👍
During that period of time maybe i'd say it is quintessential Babymetal, then again add: iine, ijime dame zettai, headbanger, megitsune, & cover songs: Over The Future, Tamashii No Rufuran, Tsubasa Wo Kudasai. Those are a pretty diverse, atypical collection of songs.🤔
The video band are babybones, not actually a real band, but they would play on stage with the girls to backing tracks in the very early days , because they could not always afford to have areal band play with them. Oh how times have changed. Fun reaction , see you next time. 🦊🦊🔥🦊🦊
⚡ 💀 💕 / 💓 ⏰ "Doki Doki" represents the sound of an excited heartbeat. This was their first single, music video, etc. Like many classic Heavy Metal songs, the lyrics of 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning' talk about which cute hairstyle and lip gloss they should decide on for school. : ) At this point BABYMETAL were still the "Heavy Music Club" subunit of Sakura Gakuin, a school themed Idol group. BABYMETAL's budget was super small to begin with, even compared to the other sub-units, and they got less promotion to start with. It's pretty clear from this music video it was a shoestring production. Su's coat was borrowed from one of the Sakura Gakuin teachers. Moa's vest was borrowed from Yui, and Yui borrowed hers from fellow student Raura. The girls taught the skeleton dudes the dance moves themselves. But the video started to blow up once it was posted online. They became so popular, that when lead singer Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) "graduated" from" Sakura Gakuin in 2013 when she turned 15, BABYMETAL became an independent group.
Doki Doki Morning! is such a great song!! they had recorded the song two years before the video and had basically no budget, but it's still such a fun video! The song itself turns 12 years old this year (as Babymetal turns 12) which, ironically was the average age of the band at the time! I highly recommend in your spare time listening to the Budokan 2021 version of this, to see how far they've come in 10 years!! I also recommend you react to Megitsune, it's such a banger, and such an iconic song! Onedari Daisakusen, Distortion, Sis. Anger are such good hits too!
Here's the same Doki Doki Morning MV with Su, Moa and Yui giiving an audio commentary over the top of it (with English subtitles). It's really fun and they talk about each part of the video and how they shot it, etc. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6ay81Oc96fI.html
This was the video that introduced me to Babymetal. I was in The Gryphon (Bristol's metal pub, and my favourite place to have a beer or 6) when a couple came in and while talking to the landlord (John Ashby) said "You have to see this" and played the video on their laptop - cue two instant converts . . . I still haven't seen them live (I always seem to be out of the UK, or flying back in on the dates they play) but I know John has seen them many times.
They recorded this song back in 2010 as a part of a Sakura Gakuin album but it wasn't released as a single til 2012.I think they were somewhere between 11 and 13 here. The girls think of this era when they think of babymetal as well and as much as they accomplish over the next decade, that first album really was the essence of who they are. Love em, man! Next (older) video I would suggest is the MV to Iine! that's iine. not Line. Please don't call it Line...
The official MV Edited Ver. was released in October 2011 at Toys Factory Japan channel, the complete version was released a year later in 2012 in the official BabyMetal channel.🦊🤘
Doki Doki Morning is the most Babymetal song? It is, at least if you refer to what Babymetal was at the beginning. They changed. It is the first Babymetal song, released in 2010. The MV finished production a year later. The girls were 12, 12 and 13 years old at the time. The production was very low budget. They did not even have proper costumes but used their own clothes and borrowed ones. What you call a band are backup dancers who play air guitar and air drums. Babymetal could not afford to pay musicians. Now that you've done this reaction, you are cleared for Junna's drum cover.
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。BABYMETAL is singing about a school girl who overslept in the morning and got up quickly and dressed in haste asking repeatedly what time it was now. "Doki Doki" signifies sound of fast heartbeat. And the girl also got excited looking forward to what was going to happen today at her school and in her future as well. Last year 2021, Su and Moa are matured and no longer school girls, but they revived this song in shows at Budokan mimicking their own childhood voices and lovable moves. Every audience at the venue became happy. I was there ! ヽ(^o^)丿
One of the less popular ones, but just as awesome. BABYMETAL Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai BLACK NIGHT LEGEND DOOMSDAY ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5NJXi72kC_s.html 🤘🦊
I agree with everyone else recommending you check out "Iine" next, one of their earlier and most experimental tracks, you won't be able to sit still while listening 😄
Hey Sir! Another reactor once went to show his buddy Babymetal. The buddy asked "so what genre would you say they are?" The guy said "They're Babymetal - they're their own genre." So yeah, "most Babymetal Babymetal song" makes perfect sense. Rock on! 🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction. The most BABYMETAL BABYMETAL song .... yes that's fair - but you haven't seen 'Iine' (that is iine pronounced ee-neh, not Line) yet.🤘🦊🤘 They recorded 'Doki Doki Morning' at the end of October 2010 and made their live debut at the first Sakura Gakuin show in November 2010 with this song. Su was 12, Yui and Moa were 11. The video was recorded nearly a year later on a shoe string budget. They had to borrow clothes to make up their costumes - the Babybones skeleton suits were black onesies with white masking tape stuck on. Talking about Babybones - they were never a real band, they appeared in music videos and they pretended to play the instruments on stage in the early days before BABYMETAL had the budget for a real live band to support them. There is a commentary video where the girls talk over this video (and 4 other videos) as they reminisce about making them. They were particularly pleased with themselves for teaching the Babybones guys the choreo themselves just so they could dance along with them in the video. So next song - 'Iine' ... official video again, the second song they released (they were playing IDZ earlier, but held the release back until after 'Iine'). Then tell us which is the most BABYMETAL BABYMETAL song.
I've not tried to dance to Babymetal, but I also haven't tried to learn the lyrics and turned out at a Babymetal show I can scream the lyrics just fine. So who knows.
@@BlackArr0w "popular" implies "liked". not everyone who shared _gimme chocolate_ was actually a fan. they just thought it was wacky and wanted to see how others would react to it.
All the older songs used to be quite like this, more babymetaly Edit: if you want acid trip experience like, react to their song called: iine tip: ARE YOU READY TO MOSH?
I actually like the 10 BABYMETAL Budokan 2021 version (Doomsday 1&2) when they were grown up. That was the first time I heard this song. Check that one out if you can!
The end of 2017 was their most challenging time. Their lead guitarist had an accident and died. And one of the little girls, Yui Mizuno, had to leave the band for health reasons.
This is definitely BM's early idol phase when they were still integrated into the school themed teen idol group Sakura Gakuin. Just look at how "smol" Yui and Moa are... The target audience for this music was teenage girls and the song appeared on the Sakura Gakuin Nendo 2010 CD between standard J-pop songs. I often wonder how much of a shock that was. The song was not initially promoted and a couple of other songs off the CD got videos as they were probably see as more commercial, but Doki Doki Morning got some traction and in 2011, about a year after the release of the CD, Amuse came up with some money for a video. But it was all done on a low budget with the girls wearing borrowed clothes and the backing band miming and wearing black suits with white tape for the skeleton bones...you can see it peeling off if you look closely. "Doki Doki Morning" is about getting ready for school and the hectic life of a young girl. The phrase "doki doki" is a Japanese onomatopoeia word for an excited and racing heart.
Now this was my first Babymetal song, it was a but before the music video too. Came across some footage of them on i think Dailymotion or something? Managed to get a DVD release of a performance of them and have been a fan ever since, that was early 2012 or so
Please consider this recommendation: BabyMetal performed two songs with Rob Halford at an awards show. It is very different because the third song (which you should react to) Yui and Moa are on guitar. You see the girls as you haven't seen them before.
Their earliest videos were dripping with potential but obvious they were still trying to find that perfect fit, like what the perfect balance of Kawaii to Metal would need to be. "iine!" is another one with a video that seems far far away from where they are now. And yes, the early vids were a bit disturbing in weird ways
The creepy part of the video in comparison of what they actually do on stage shows them asleep until the melody kicks in and they wake up like in a TV show
The music is way better on the live Buddokan version, but this version is good too. The live version I mentioned was just last year and the girls have grown up!
Good reaction, as always. One of the things that we easily forget, caught up in the heavy music they play, is that they were a group of children. A children's group. With songs aimed at children and adolescents. So magnificent that, like many children's productions, they also dazzle us as adults. That is why, due to the lights, the heavy music, the fire and all the paraphernalia that surrounds them, it is easy to lose sight of that: they are children singing and dancing for other children. At least until their second album, where they have already evolved towards more mature music.
I don't believe Su auditioned for Sakura Gakuin but Yui and Moa did (there's a video) when they were 10yo. Did not join Sakura Gakuin until they were 11yo. Meaning they were selected for the Heavy Music Club on day 1. (Note, they did not volunteer) Kobametal was experimenting at this point and as you go through the songs in calendar order you can see Babymetal grow into to the Metal Giant they are now. Suggestion, "Rehearsal Doki Doki Morning" You will see the girls in a very candid day(s) that leads up to their first live performance as Babymetal performing "Doki Doki Morning" live as part of a Sakura Gakuin revue. CAUTION, there is a danger of Cuteness Overload!!
Nice reaction. Folks usually want their live performance, but They only have a few actual Music Videos. They're all worth watching. Especially since many of their dance steps come from the MV. Like Karate's. I also love the fact that they did Babymetal reacting to Babymetal MV's. They really are adorable. And you get a feel for their individual personalities. When you watch those really pay attention to some of the short comments they make. Su apparently still has her mic from the Megitsune MV. That is going in a museum someday. They even did Babymetal reacting to reactors reacting to Babymetal. Made me wish other bands would do that. Would be rather interesting to say the least. I use this song as my alarm clock. It will get you up in the morning. Until next time, See You.
Back to the crazy and unlikely origins! You will need to check out the Megitsune music video next. That was another early hit that forced people to start taking them seriously! It's still a fan favorite and the song they opened the shows on their last tour with.
This was their first song, the very first introduction of the group at a Sakura Gakuin show was this song and it's still floating around RU-vid. They've come so far from three girls singing and dancing to a metal recording to now. The "band" there is Baby Bones, they don't actually play instruments,so yeah they can do whatever they like. They have made a few appearances since the Kami Band took over (they definitely do play instruments), most notably I remember seeing them in live recording of Headbanger! (Moa birthday Edition), they were sent into the crowd and led the crowd in bowing to Moa.
The most Babymetal way to make your day is to start it with 'Doki Doki ⭐ Morning', then end it with 'Uki Uki 🌟 Midnight'! 😸 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Fb9WpV6k_cE.html
The prototypical BM. It's got the 2 genre's. But their not mixed yet. They just start and stop. If your brother comes on don't let him prove that he can finish a flip. He's too old. He'll hurt himself.
They were still a sub unit of Sakura Gakuin at the time of the release of this song. You should check out videos from their time at SG (2010-15) besides singing they did other projects that were really entertaining ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H0imue5uHiw.html
Now that you've done their earliest song, you should do their newest song next. Check out "BMC" (which stands for Baby Metal Cypher) and do the official video. It's so much cooler than the live version.
Who are Babymetal for a first time WTF reaction? There is no better song (IMO) that represents the Kawaii factor like Iine. How does anyone cram 3-5 genres in a short music video? To be open, I’m an old metalhead and went backwards. It took a while to warm up to their more poppy side, but it’s all great after a few listens. They are just so darn diverse it’s captivating. I don’t like to listen to the same thing over and over. Babymetal just blows that repetitiveness out of the water.
You have to look into were it all began and what I mean is going back to sakura gakuin with out sakura this band would never existed. Sue was in the karen girls also her graduation from sakura. Moa and yui was there in sues graduation also yui and moa in mini patie that's just a couple of suggestions.
The band is baby Bones they don't play instruments actually they just mime playing and the early days babymetal couldn't always afford musicians that's why the very early shows have to show was baby Bones and then the actual musicians came out later in the show for about the last five songs
