You haven't lived until you've seen Don Cornelius interview Barry White. Dueling basses! We used to call him the "Walrus of Love", but seriously these songs were a great part of the sound of Philadelphia. He probably wrote it for his wife, Glodean, who sang back up with him.

I love listening to Barry White, this man has a wonderful voice that sends shivers down my spine lol. I like it when you said this song is universal, it covers so many aspects in a relationship. I love the last words he speaks, I have a deep voice for a lady and I have had family friends with deep voices but none like Barry Whites which is what my late Mum called a dark gravy voice? I never knew where that came from originally but it's from a comment she heard as a child about a singer and actor. Thank you sweetheart for another great reaction, its been a great day for our family as we heard our nephew is feeling better after having covid 19.
