I grew up with this great group. Most people are only familiar with their disco music. Love their early music especially 60's-70's. Barry has a great falsetto voice. Some of their early hits were "New York Mining Disaster 1941", "To Love Somebody", "Holiday", "Massachusetts", "World", "And The Sun Will Shine", "Really & Sincerely", "Words", "The Singer Sang His Song", "I've Gotta Get A Message To You", "Lonely Days", "I Started A Joke", "Melody Fair", "First of May", "Give Your Best", "Lamplight" etc.
I love Robin's voice. None will ever be better. Have you listened to Robin leads and solo songs? They will melt your heart. Mo is an excellent singer, too.
Despite the fact that Barry has the most wonderful falsetto, when Robin comes in at the chorus - wow - his voice has matured so beautifully; and MAURICE what a revelation - low and so melodic. They are fabulous.
Their live-performances were just wonderful and brilliant. So check'em out with 'Blue Island', live and unplugged on MTV Most Wanted, 1993, so that's really heavenly. And then listen to their lil concert (7-songs-medley), when they received the Brit Award.
I’m not sure if you’ve done this one, but you need to check out Man in the Middle by the Bee Gees. This was one of their later songs from this same time period, but Maurice is the lead singer. Awesome song!
One way you can tell you are getting or already old is when all your music heros go to dying one by one and it is so very sad to see all the greats dying off. RIP Robin and Maurice.
You can't fake that look on your face! It's sheer enjoyment. These guys were a phenomenon. They cranked out these tunes, sometimes 2-3 a day. Every one of them distinct and unique.
one of their last hits, before the untimely passing of several of the brothers Gibb, was "This is Just Where I Came in" and is probably one of my favorite BeeGee's songs. It is such a departure from their know style that it is just mind-blowing. I recommend a listen. Good review, as always Adogg!
2:37 u got my subscription at this moments 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 will definitely check them all out. I love the bee gees my dream to see Barry Gibbs live before he dies
I so agree with your entire reaction. Very soft sound, great lyrics... "and its mine". ❤❤❤ This is one of my favorites. I too listen almost every day to the BeeGees & will look for more of your reactions. ❤❤❤
From the Still Waters album, my favorite!! Robin's voice is fabulous here!! And the harmonies are magnificent, thank you Mr. Mo!! Can't go wrong with their 5+ decade catalog!! I'll check out your other reactions to their musical genius :) Edit: Couldn't find any other Bee Gees reactions you've done. Try Too Much Heaven, Mr. Natural, Fanny Be Tender, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Walking on Air, Happy Ever After, Paradise, One, This is Where I Came In, and everything from the Still Waters album! Enjoy!!
There are two singers I will love til I die. Barry Gibb/Bee Gees and Steve Perry/Journey! These men have literally molded me to the woman I am today. As a woman its been my life long dream to be the woman to a man these guys sing about! ❤️. Thank you for all your reactions! Binging your channels today! 😆
Brilliant song when Barry and Robin sang leads together, something just was so right. Life long fan since 1967 and really loving hearing you younger generations enjoying our beautiful Bee Gees - keeping them alive in our hearts thank you ❤❤❤
Great song. Couldn't find a Bee Gees Playlist but I'll look again. So many fantastic songs to go. Love You Inside Out. Run To Me. Words. I've Got To Get A Message To You. Love So Right. Living Eyes. Tragedy. You Win Again. Bodyguard. Closer Than Close. Secret Love. Time Is Time. And so, so many more.
Have you heard other songs by the Bee Gees? For instance, Baby as you turn away, Love so right, Fanny be tender (with my love). They also have a few great songs on the Staying Alive soundtrack like The woman in you, I love you too much and one of my very favorites called Someone belonging to someone. If you haven't heard any of these songs yet, believe me you will love them all!
Ok Adogg, it's time for you to listen to the BeeGees official music video "One" from their album One released in 1989. Maurice also sang a song at the Las Vegas concert called Closer than close.
My favourite BeeGee tune is Fanny be Tender. It is wildly complex in harmony and arrangement but maybe the best R & B tune they did. It showcases all the strengths of the early recordings and the emerging stylization of the disco and dance focus of their second wave.
As well as their singing I love their humour. Check out their 1974 concert. Robin leads a lot but there is a lot of between Maurice and his brothers too!
Also check out If I can't have you and Our love (don't throw it all away) by the Bee Gees if you haven't yet. These guys are awesome and I love your reaction to everyone you listen to. You definitely have a beautiful soul!
Thank you! Thank you! I totally love this song but I never knew the name of it. The music and vibe makes it easier to get things done around the house. Laundry, cooking, dishes. Just anything! It's too bad we can't go back in time to the early 70's. It would've been great to hear Karen Carpenter and The BeeGees do a song or album together. Thanks for reacting to it! 😘
the next one for them should be this one: Bee Gees - Lonely Days (1970) [High Quality Stereo Sound It really show how good they were The version done in the last 30 yr dont have the feeling thi8s one has
