The Bee Gees was short for "The Brothers Gibb" - Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb were brothers. Robin Gibb (with the long hair, no beard), born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, and Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (the balding brother with the beard, pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988. The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born. Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1966. I was born in 71 so I grew up hearing the BeeGees but I gravitated to rock, then in the 80s it was punk, and it was uncool to like disco, but you just gotta love it. Just gotta love it.

Andy was my favorite of the Brother's Gibb. I had a huge crush on Andy. My room was full of Andy Gibb posters. Loved Tiger beat magazines. Andy was very talented in his own right no one can take anything away from him no one, Everyone forgot Andy but i never ever will. Not a single reactor has watched Saturday Night Fever yet- the movie with Travolta playing a dancer in the Brooklyn disco scene. Most of the music is BeeGees- including this song- to which there’s an iconic opening walking scene.
by the time I got to listening to music disco was over and it was starting it to be funk music but the DJ would still play some of their songs…52. Here I would say “play that funky music white boy”
