This is def a classic. Taeyang is an amazing vocalist and dancer. You are correct about JK and Jimin, they and the rest of the members of BTS looked up to them, specially V. There was a whole lot of controversy on that subject a long time ago because of it. One, Jungkook had mention before (his early days) that he looked up to GDragon and many fans didn't like it (stupid tbh, but that's just people now a days...), Jimin looked up to Taeyang for his vocals, and V was a big fan of Big Bang's music in general. There was this "incident" where BTS won their first Inkigayo (I think), and he was super happy that he started singing at the top of his lungs the song LOSER by Big Bang (you must read the lyrics to understand why he did that) and netizens and haters started bashing him saying that he was making fun of them... Anyways. Big Bang was a role model for many, they are making a comeback soon, after a long time and a lot of serious sh!t happening around them... we'll see how it goes. Well those baby fans don't just want to accept that BTS early days were truly loves Bigbang music there's no doubt only old fans knows that cause me as YG Stan also watching fetus BTS that time covering lots of Bigbang song or their solos...like chocolate by Taeyang Jungkook even cover If you in The Masked Singers plus they also attends Bigbang concert along with other idols especially their last concert which attended by Jhope,Jimin & Jungkook I think cause there's a photo of it...but Jungkook,V & Jimin were I think the most avid fan I must say cause Jungkook idol is G-dragon while Jimin is Taeyang then V always reacts to Bigbang music & always sang it in Karaoke

Tablo (rapper from Epik High) did a RAP cover of this song, it's all in English and it's VERY good. You'd probably like his version more, I think you'd like his bars. His lyrics are a lot darker and not lovely dovey at all lol. His version is more like a "f*ck you" to the other person. Tablo attended Stanford University and graduated with honors in English literature and creative writing, he's a very smart dude and good lyricist. After that, he moved to Korea and started Epik High. Epik High and Big Bang were from YG company label (same label as Blackpink), so it was a cover project for a lot of YG artists to do their own cover of Eyes, Nose and Lips. All the covers are really good and unique imo. Taeyang won back his girlfriend with this song by the way LOL, she had broken up with him and he did this song. They're now married, so happy ending haha. So the topless choice for the music vid is hilarious to me when you know he was trying to win back his girl 😆 But hey, I understand, he's gotta pull out all the guns. Min Hyorin, his girlfriend and now wife, starred in the video for his song 1 AM (off the same album as Eyes, Nose, Lips). That was how they met. They dated, split up and then Taeyang made this song for her and they got back together. Hyorin's face in this video is a reference back to the 1 AM video where they were depicted in a passionate, but rocky relationship.

Jungkook and V actually did a karaoke cover of this song as well. The vocal line really looks up to Taeyang. He's got another song called Wedding Dress (which was actually my first intro to Kpop). It's the one and only song that Jimin has been able to play on the piano, for 8yrs lol

Yay! I respect Taeyang a lot. The burning picture in the background is of an actress he met while filming a mv, who is now his wife and mother of his child. Taeyang is one of the main vocals in Big Bang as well as their main dancer. I think Mr. T would agree with me that you'll like his song Ringa Linga, too.

Bigbang write their own songs, the lyrics came from their life experiences that's why the songs are relatable and stand the test of time. Check out the songs Loser, If You, Untitled from G-Dragon, Last dance, Let's not fall in love, Blue, they have so many great songs and their live performances are unmatchable, they are true artists in all the meaning of the word, every single member of the group can stand on his own as a solo artist in the music industry. Despite being in a 4 year hiatus they're still relevant and continue to make new fans everyday. Vips are excited for their comeback this spring. 👑

same here. I had never hear about Kpop before discovering BTS. I first hear JK and Jimin sing this song, (and also Jimin playing Wedding dress at piano) and wanted to discover more about Taeyang. Then G Dragon. And Taemin when I watch his duet dance with Jimin... I'm still not a real Kpop fan, just BTS stan, but thank's to them, I have discover some artists, bands or songs that I like a lot. I play this song regularly for exemple.

Taeyang comes from the boy group BIGBANG, in terms of popularity they're like "the BTS before BTS". They pretty much brought the k-pop industry outside of the south korean borders, where BTS brought the international k-pop market on a global level. Both groups paved a way, from South Korea to international, and from international to global/worldwide. That's what some people often don't understand, so there's often clashes between young members of the respective fanbases on the internet about that. And of course, BTS looked up to them. You probably already seen it but there's a lot of clips of Jimin and Jungkook (you called it, good job) singing Eyes Nose Lips and some other BIGBANG songs. Jungkook even went to the TV show "King of Mask Singer" to sing "If You" by BIGBANG.

I love this song! I listened to it because Jungkook kept singing it. There are several bangtan bombs with him or BTS singing it. It's a timeless instant classic, even from a non kpop standpoint. It is a big success but it deserves to be spread even more!

I think you’d like epik high’s Tablo’s version of this song. It has a lot more rap and Tablo’s lyrics is *chef’s kiss*. Epik high is one of the most prominent hip hop artist in Korea and one of the people bangtan looks up to especially the rap line. So his version of eyes, nose , lips would be a good introduction to the group.

😅 You should have seen Simu Liu the star of Shang Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings sing this song on his insta live This song is trully popular . Is not in the 1 miliard views but in the fact that all kpop idols, trainees and rookies did a cover of it at some point and most kpop fans can sing it and know the lyrics even if they dont speak a word in korean.
