Big Billie fan, this is her 2nd Oscar win at just 22 yo! (Youngest person ever to get 2). Not a hard life at all, has very supportive parents and brother. Check out 'Happier Than Ever' song. My favorite song is 'Everything I Wanted' about their sibling bond, they won a Grammy for it. Billie has 9 Grammys now, (just got one for 'What Was I Made For' 2 weeks ago), 2 Golden Globes, and 2 Oscars. I think Finneas has 10 Grammys. Enjoyed your reactions..
They had to leave out one of my favourite lines of the song to shorten it for the oscars you should definitely listen to more Billie in a deliberate way. There’s a reason she’s so critically acclaimed, and it’s not because she’s popular, it’s because she is genuinely a really bloody good artist. Like, once a generation level artist. Not deep diving into her music, especially if you like music, you’re really depriving yourself of genuine artistry. Truly, trust us.
@@bernardmolan2976 I noticed that they did that last time with No Time to Die for James Bond as well. Also at the oscars, first time round when she won. I think it’s an Oscar thing and probably also applies to other performances to keep things “snappy” or whatever. Priorities 🙄
I can't listen to this song without tearing up! The moment after she finished singing this at the Oscars, you can see she surprised herself at her performance. She said, "Whoa!" audibly. So sweet!
Very nice reaction! I am a 70 year old Billie & Finneas fan who saw her in concert in St. Paul, MN on March 15, 2022 - first concert in over 40 years - Billie was great. By the way, they won the OSCAR for "BEST ORIGINAL SONG" for this, their 2nd Oscars, making Billie the youngest 2 time Oscar winner in history [22 years old - B.D. Dec. 18, 2001] and Finneas 2nd youngest [B.D. July 30, 1997]. Their first was for the JAMES BOND movie "NO TIME TO DIE" - Daniel Craig's last - and the song had the same title. I will direct you to her performance live at the BRITS on the Billie Eilish Channel "NO TIME TO DIE" Live at the Brits [ Feb. 18, 2020] - she is 18 years old. Hans Zimmer conducts the orchestra, Finneas is on piano, Johnny Marr of The Smiths is on guitar and - look at her composure in front of other artists, the first public performance of the song, and the first time ever that Billie ever "belted" or hit the high note at the end. They won the Grammy for this song in 2021 and because of Covid and delay of the movie, won the OSCAR in 2022. Billie is very versatile from singing PEGGY LEE's jazzy "Fever" at the Hollywood Bowl [July 27, 2022 - SoCalLiveitLive channel] to all the songs on her albums - my favorite is her multi GRAMMY Winning "WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP WHERE DO WE GO" - "Bad Guly" is on that - released on March 29, 2019. P.S. this song deletes the 2nd half of verse one [I'm sure to reduce time for the OSCARS] "Taking a drive, I was an ideal - Looked so alive, turns out I'm not real, just something you paid for - what was I made for?" That comes in before "Cause I ..." [the refrain where Billie goes up high].
No - I mean OSCARS!! OSCARS are given for Best MUSICAL SCORE and for BEST ORIGINAL SONG - check it out under ACADEMY AWARDS or the OSCARS Billie has 9 GRAMMYS @ age 22 and 2 OSCARS OR ACADEMY AWARDS FOR BEST ORIGINAL SONG!!@@imrigez3224 Consider Musical Scores for all the great movies - where would a movie be if you took out the music or where would BOND MOVIES be if you took out Adele "Skyfall" or Paul McCartney "Live and Let Die" or Shirley Bassey "Goldfinger" and "Diamonds are forever" or Billie Eilish's "No Time to Die. For this year's BEST PICTURE Swedish Composer Ludwig Gorannson scored the music and won the OSCAR and everyone says it is one of the best movie scores of all time; his FIRST OSCAR MUSICAL SCORE was for the 2018 superhero movie "BLACK PANTHER". Consider the place of music - the difference between the GRAMMYS and the OSCARS is that vis-a-vis the OSCARS or THE ACADEMY OF MOTION PICTURE ARTS AND SCIENCES is that this music - score or song is written FOR THE MOVIE and not for pop or jazz or rock or orchestra or R&B or hip hop.
@@imrigez3224They performed on the Oscar's show. They were up for best song in a movie (which they won). They also won a Grammy earlier this year, Song of the Year (a songwriting award) and performed the song there as well😊❤
Oh wow! I'm a huge Hans Zimmer fan! (Dayle guy on the left), so I would be really interested to see that performed live, as I haven't watched the movie nor heard the song. Really appreciate you dropping some suggestions!
my TV wasn’t working last sunday and i missed this. i’m 58 and a huge Billie fan, this is so heart wrenching and bittersweet , deep as F. wow. i’m mind blown ❤
She is incredible live. Yes they coproduce and co-wrote her songs only the two of them. She has insane crowd control, voice control, and they don’t use vocal pitch correction ever. Her live performances actually sound like her studio performances in terms of quality. She’s incredible
That’s her brother, Finneas O’Connell. Her full name is Billie Eilish O’Connell. They’re a songwriting duo, and they record only originals. Finneas is a music maestro! Together, they’re formidable. I’m OBSESSED with Billie and her big brother!
love Billie Eilish!!! you guys should react to all her stuff! from beginning. and live stuff. then the yearly interviews and her apple documentary. new album coming soon too :) so check her out before the new materials grace us hehehe...
Yes definitely react to her more. She has such a wide range that recommending songs to you would really depend on the kind of sound you gravitate toward. Do you prefer ballads, experimental sounds, songs with an attitude, do you focus more on beats or melody? What all her songs have is incredible songwriting and storytelling ability, and a kind of consistently recognisable artistic signature despite the wide variety of sound. They’re really amazing. I’ll be happy to recommend songs if you’d like
When we all fall asleep, where do we go? Off her first album. Happier than ever off of her second album. Her live performance of the 007 theme song live at the RTS Awards.
For a different perspective you should review Bad Guy , she is a very versatile artist. Bad Guy she released 4 years ago or any of her Concert footage. My favorite version of this song is a live version of her in a concert in Chicago in 23. Her vocals were on point.
Yes we discovered that in the video as we looked it up at the end during the reaction, We didn't really know anything about Billie Eilish going into this, doing a bunch of research before the video would defeat the point of a blind reaction
