"Don't rock the cradle of Love" people always forget that one, lol. (granted, it is not quite as good as the ones you listed, but it is still a banger)
OH YEAH!!! Billy is a whole vibe!!! He rocked us teenagers worlds in the 80's!!!! BTW, he's still just as good as ever and a pretty fine looking grandpa if you ask me!@😉😊 you can see for yourself.... check out Billy and Miley Cyrus performing this song together Live at the iHeart Radio Awards.... the crowd went nuts and Billy and Miley killed it!! Great reaction😎
@@dubzer0649 Yep, totally 80's!! I was a freshman in high school when this song came out. I'd apologize for the wardrobe but, I had NOTHING to do with it...... I did rock the hell out of that punk look for a while though!! ;)
Yes! Billy STILL has a great voice and looks great! And guitarist Steve Stevens is still doing his thing on the guitar! They're just not jumping around now like they did then. lol
Billy is an immortal god. In 200 years, someone will be reacting to a Billy Idol hologram by projecting themselves into that audience and their face will be melted by the rock. They'll probably call it classical music, and rush to tell all their friends about it.
This was the early 80's and Billy was the KING of the Punk Rock genre. This is my favorite of his but he had quite a few good ones. And I've never seen anybody do what Steve Stevens did on his guitar!
This is a hard hitting, slamming rock song by a great singer and his very hot band. Thanks for the reaction. His growls and gritty screams are fantastic. This song was called Rebel "Yell" for a reason. I think we would have had a lot more hard rock from Billy but he had a serious motorcycle accident that put a damper on his career for a long enough time for him to kind of drop off the radar. I loved this guy and his pumped up energy. Dancing with Myself or White Wedding should be next.
Wow! Haven't saw that video in a long time!!! The 80s!!! Back when MTV gave anyone a platform if only for a hot minute!!! Reality destroyed MTV!!! Good reaction!!!
We all know of the 80s legends that are Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, Whitney Houston who managed to consolidate their careers into the 90s & even further, but somehow Billy Idol slips through the net? He seems almost forgotten but he had and endless amount of huge hits throughout the 80s into the 90s. Please check his Sweet 16 (1986) or Adam In Chains (1993) or else Eyes Without A Face (1984) and many more gems by him.
Love Billy Idol. This video came out in 1984. Played many times on MTV. He was a huge star. Billy is a rock god and still performs today. Seeing him in Vegas this October. Love his music. Check out his other videos : Mony Mony, Dancing With Myself, White Wedding, Don’t Need A Gun, and many more.
Check out Billy Idol - Eyes Without A Face (Official Music Video) His back then girlfriend sings the title of the song in French. (In French it's called Les Yeux Sans Visage)
I have to say Dub Zer0!!! My fav thing about your reaction... Was how masculine you stayed. Like you fed off it. Most of the male reactors pretend or feel threatened but not you! CONFIDENCE. COOL GREAT REACTION
It was so long ago, I don't remember the year, but it was late 1983 or 1984; I and my MUCH older BF and 2 GF's went to the Long Beach Arena and saw Billy Idol in concert. We had been drinking 7&7's beforehand. I remember not much of that night, except for sitting against a wall, inside the arena and 1 GF vomiting, Then sitting on the floor, outside the restroom after the concert was over. Yeah, good times! Sucks to be me.
It was so funny, I had a black female worker thinking this was some KKK thing, and our black manager came over with me to explain it to her....."um...listen....they are not talking about that at all......"...She was "OOOhhhhhh'........that is what he is singing about?"
So right!! There's no way to NOT dance. I used to be all over driving my GT dancing to this. I'd be jumping and wriggling like a crazy girl. I can't imagine WHAT other older drivers must've thought seeing me in that car, when music like this was playing. 😂
This was my favorite song back in 1984 I still have the vinyl album and play it every once in awhile, you need to hear the whole thing not just one song! There are many great songs off the Rebel Yell album! Fabulous reaction by the way! Keep them coming!
It sounded like bats fluttering on that guitar haha. Glad Billy did good for himself , many rockers from 80s and back never make it. He has two grown children I believe.
Yo me again, falling in reverse,. Popular monster please, Billy idols white wedding, flesh for fantasy, sweet 16, country song remember when, then I got sad song when I miss my husband,
So on an electric guitar the magnets that pick up the sound can transmit almost any sound. For example I could play music on my phone and hold it up to the guitar and it would pick up and play my music out the guitar amp. For those sounds he used one of those plastic toy ray guns that make the sci-fi zapping shorting sound effects.
Great job Bro with the reactions! And, I am a BUDWEISER fan myself! Cheers! BUDWEISER: Because U Deserve What Every Individual Should Enjoy Regularly 👍👍
Billy is great. Love this one, Dancing With Myself, White Wedding, Cradle of Love, Hot In The City and some from his 2005 album like Super Overdrive, Romeo's Waiting and Summer Running. Unsolicited vid rec of his VH1 Storytellers show ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9krgJ-O19qU.html
Steve Stevens---perfectly matched to Billy at the time. Check out Billy Idol's performance in the movie "The Wedding Singer"--Adam Sandler is a huge fan of 80's music and always works great songs into the soundtracks of his movies.
this song was 83 or 84... billy idol set the rock world on fire.. he talked, walked and acted a lot like james dean and elvis presley but sang a style of music somewhere between rock and hard rock.. he had 4-5 big hits in the mid 80’then just vanished.. but he still tours today.. he got big about the same time john cougar and tom petty did
@@dubzer0649 he was huge “like most singers” for a few years, had 5-6 big hits.. then just vanished.. i was glad to hear he still tours and there is a video on utube of him singing this live with miley cyrus at the iheart rock festival in 2016
The sound you were talking about was the guitar. He was scraping up the strings on the neck of the guitar. Dancing with Myself is fun too. 80s music is a total vibe. Please look further into the 80s!
@@dubzer0649 yup! His name is Steve Stevens and he's a great guitarist. Speaking of which...have you reacted to Eddie Van Halen, Eruption solo. Live without a net?? If not, please add that to your list!
@@dubzer0649 GREAT EAR KARLTON! No, it's actually not the guitar. Steve collects antique & unusual toys. He used to go to this one store near him after late night practices. He was sitting in his basement apartment experimenting with sounds for his guitar solo & grabbed his "Ray 🔫 Gun" toy & it made that sound. 🤣 He brought it into the studio & the rest is history. Only Steve would think of that! 👊⚡🎸
@@jennhurl Hehehe! You're actually both right. It's a "ray gun" toy, but he got that sound by holding it against his guitar pickup. I'm still trying to figure out how in the hell he managed to play "normally," grab the toy to make the sound, then continue on with his regular playing without breaking his stride. And I've seen him live, back in the day! This is why Steve is one of the all time great guitarists, and it's almost criminal how underappreciated he is by music listeners and so-called critics/historians.
