As I stated in the video I haven't heard a song yet from Black Sabbath that wasn't a 10/10. I don't care what year they came out this music hits today. Also, If you enjoy what I do and want to continue to see MUSIC reactions on this channel consider supporting me. 70% of my videos are not monetized. Between setting up the studio every day, filming, editing, thumbnails, and research which all take away from my family you guys keep me motivated. The year only matters as far as knowing; this is where all the different metal tangents came from. Even punk came from Funk and metal combination. If you made planet Sabbath collide with planet Rush ; You would get most Hard rock and Metal. Just as there is No Sabbath without fusing Blues, Hendrix, Soul etc. IS there a reason no one does HENDRIX reactions?

Other highlights from the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath album are Sabbra Cadabra and Spiral Architect. And you've probably gotten this one a hundred times, but check out Symptom of the Universe from the Sabotage album. For folks in my generation it is pretty easy to see how we fell in love with the grunge era stuff as we came of age. Black Sabbath, ACDC, Van Halen, etc. were constantly played on the radio in high school, and the rest is history.

Sabbath was founded in Birmingham, England--a tough steel manufacturing city, the kind of place where you ended up either working in a factory or joining a gang, as guitarist Tony Iommi once put it. They were at the forefront of a new type of music that was initially described as "Downer Rock" and "Atomic Blues", and ultimately as "Heavy Metal". Polo, your contemplative reaction was great as usual, brother. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

It was a greatest hits collection. I have never been the same as many other were from hearing them. They are for sure the first fully heavy metal band. Their music is equally dark and light. Heavy and light. Nobody in my humble opinion has ever gotten close to the magic Sabbath has since. Stoked you love them. If you want to hear a different side of them, listen to Laguna Sunrise. A couple of important things to know are that the music is by the creative genius who invented metal, lead guitarist Tony Iommi (eye-OWE-me), and the lyrics are by the great bass player, Geezer Butler. Pretty much all heavy music has grown out of Black Sabbath. This was from 1973, which is incredible.

Sabbath is the reason metal music exists. They are the founders of the genre….

My favorite band ever is Black Sabbath, since my teenage days, more than forty years ago. There are lots of great songs from them. For another great interpretation and showcase of Ozzy's voice, you could react to Thril of It All, not much remembered, but a great song from Sabotage album.

That breakdown before the outro is still the heaviest thing I’ve heard! Ozzy in prime form. Great song, legendary metal!

4 words Polo. Sabbath Live in Paris. Not even for a reaction necessarily, but just for personal enjoyment. They were a freight train back then.

POLO REACTS you need to hear Planet Caravan. It's the best Black Sabbath song. After that, listen to Pantera's version. It's magical

I like that you instantly recognized and called the contrast (space) between the heavy low riff and deep fuzz bass and Ozzy's high-pitched vocals in the second section as significant. This gives the sound great depth. The singer is being sucked into Hell below and the outro riff (an entirely new riff that breaks musical form laws) carries him down. Amazing song!!

Most of these kids have no idea how important it was for Sabbath to bust through the doors in the late ‘60’s and early ‘70’s…..😎

When I was in school in the 80s a few of us were talking about this song. One guy asked "Is that like a cover or a parody of U2 Sunday Bloody Sunday?" There was a moment of stunned silence before someone simply said no, no it isn't.
