Bob was an early, and gigantic, proponent of social justice and despised division between the races. This video is the perfect representation of that philosophy as he shows children, black and white, interacting positively without regard to color. Listen to his very simplistic “Redemption Song” to get a feel for his stand on equal rights (beautiful) and my personal favorite “One Love” for an amazing up tempo unifying and uplifting tune. It’s about time you’ve visited Bob.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The movie "One Love" (just released) is a good starting point to get to know Bob M;arley. And, yeah, as said below, "Redemption Song", as well as "Three Little Birds". Maybe when you say "Don't Worry, Be Happy" you're thinking of "No Woman, No Cry"?.
Bob Marley is revered as one of the greatest selling artists of all time, was ranked by Rolling Stone Magazine as No 11 of the 100 greatest artists of all time. The Rollings Stones/Beatles were big fans of his and is renowned for being one of the greatest reggae artists of all times.
Love how much you read into the music video man ! , Please do more Bob , But his less commercial stuff is his true sound. Like . Soul Rebel , Roots , Concrete Jungle , Crazy baldheads live at the rainbow.
hi michael, hope you're good. don't worry be happy was bobby mcfarrin, ( not sure if that's spelt right ). bob marley was way too cool to sing something like that. all of marley's songs are very similar and you would get the same sort of feelings from any of them. the man was a genius and was taken way too soon. it makes you wonder what he could have achieved given a few more years. excellent reaction my friend. take care
Suggestions for songs One Love (official video, Paul McCartney is in it), Buffalo Soldier (official video), No Woman no cry, stir it up, Three Little Birds, waiting in vain, I shot the Sheriff, Jamming, Exodus and Redemption Song (to name a few)

Please, if you are going to do commentary on a subject get your facts right,do your due deligence. Bob Marley NEVER SANG DONT WORRY, BE HAPPY. the myth that all blacks look alike and sound alight is just a myth.
I have loved Bob Marley for decades and for everything he stood for... I've seen his son Ziggy in concert four times now, and I so appreciate your perspective and your viewpoint watching him for the first time.
Roger Steffens, the great reggae historian, has often said that wherever he goes around the world, people come up and tell him that Bob's music literally saved their lives. I am one of those people. This was the first Bob song I ever heard about forty-five years ago and still one of my favourite songs from his vast catalogue. JAH bless Bob.
