I'm 69 and have come to realize that lamenting my age does not change it. One consolation of being this age is I have all the memories of the fantastic music from the 60's and the 70's that were the soundtrack of my youth.

i'm 70+ & we used to see Bob in the teen night clubs back in the 60's when he was rockin' it out. He turned into a story teller & ballad singer in a long career. His catalog is extensive so check out some more of his stuff.

I was confused at first because the song came out 48 years ago in 1976. Matt LeBlanc was 9 years old. Now I see that Bob decided to make a video for the song in 1994.

If you like songs that tell a story, you just found maybe the best guy for that. Bob is not only in the R&R hall of fame, but also in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He has a large catalog of music, and the Silver Bullet Band always brings it. Always one of the best live shows back in the day. Bob was born for live performing. Dive in😊

I was 16 when this song was on the radio. An older brother had to tell me what "points all her own way up high" meant. You can hardly imagine you were so ignorant one day All these many years later,, all those ladies ... all those moments, all those visions ... 100,000 years we've been living this story. I lived back then and went to drive in's and a nice 60 chevy was pretty cool... mine was a 57 coupe with a giant olds motor. Cruise the strip... street race.. Park it at A&W and sit on the hood waiting for some kid who got a muscle car for graduation to want to race Having one tattoo much less three or 4 was considered fringe.

This song brings back memories for me. In particular when this came out, I was 18 and living in Nebraska and at the time the drinking age was 19, so buddy and I hooked up with a couple of chicks and drove down to Kansas (In a Chevy van) where the drinking age was 18. On the way there we were playing this album. This song so worked perfectly.😁😈

The genius of this song is that initially the term Night Moves is a reference to having sex, then later in the song, it takes on a whole new meaning as he heads into middle age.

Yeah he wrote good pop songs and had success, but this of all the songs he wrote stands out -- the poetry, the story, the acoustic guitar, the gravelly voice, the organ, those kick-ass background vocals. You can see he deeply admired bobby dylan, mainstreaming the sound. Also picking up a lot of don mc'clean in there and his song american pie.

Have you reacted to Pink Floyd "Time"? It covers the topic you were discussing. How when we are young, we are gonna live forever and then time sneaks up on us and we look back on our youth. It's an amazing composition.
