These guys were massively popular when I was in high school. They are actually a good band and they are one of the few bands that made it through the Hair Metal fiasco of the late 80s. Jon Bon Jovi himself is also a great humanitarian and a good person. He's still hot rockin his silver hair!
the song in itself is not only beautiful, it has practically became a cult. but the guitar solo in particular is one of the most beautiful solos in the history of music!
Want to react to another great western song by Bon Jovi, then I highly recommend “Blaze of Glory.” Jon wrote it for the movie “Young Guns” and it got nominated for an Academy award.
The song and video are about touring. The steel horse is the limo or private jet. The loaded 6 string on his back is his guitar. Him seeing a million faces and rocking them all was probably an understatement.
I am not too proud to say hairbands for life baby!🤣Freaking love um.Hey they each could play their own instruments wrote their own music. The more haters there are usually because the better stuff is.
Back when men looked prettier than most women and had more testostrone than a pro athlete…. The best of both worlds… and nobody needed to cut off their penis to do it lol not like 2022
HELL YES!!!! BEST BON JOVI SONG THERE IS!! He compares touring to being a cowboy.. "on a steel horse I ride"..being a jet plane... "I'm wanted, dead or alive", meaning people love their music and pay to see them, no matter what!!!! Amazing song!
This song just kicks so much ass. For anybody who's been on the road with a band, it sums it up SO well! You like the vibe of this song, check out the movie Young Guns!
Jon Bon Jovi lives in my town--the expensive side of town, lol. Actually, it's only 20 minutes from where he grew up, which was Sayreville, NJ. My sister ran into him at the fish market a couple years ago and she didn't act like a fan girl, just nodded hi, lol!!!
I was fortunate a couple times to be one of the faces in the crowd that he rocked.😁 I've been to over 100 concerts in the 90s and Bon Jovi was one of the best. 👍😎
The best Bon Jovi song and a perfect video. This got played CONSTANTLY on MTV back in the day. Bon Jovi were popular, but the "Slippery When Wet" Album" (which this was on) took them to another level.
This song has been theme song for the TV show deadliest catch on the discovery Channel., ever since the show first started..... for anyone who watches the lives of those crab fisherman!!
Picking songs and bands of all genres from the 80's and 70's is an overwhelming task.. Thanks for your diversity in appreciating music!!! I was a teenager in the 80's...I was sooooo lucky!!!!!😂😂😂😂😁😁😁😁
This IS my favorite Bon Jovi song! Richie’s (guitar player) backup vocals on this are top notch! Another one to check out would be Blaze of Glory ( not technically Bon Jovi as a whole band) by Jon the singer. It was from the movie Young Guns. Never Say Goodbye is another great one by them
Slippery When Wet was a huge album for them. That is why it is called a World Tour most bands did that back then when you had a huge album with hit after hit off it you would go out a big tour to capitalize on your popularity and cash in. But they are great band still to this day I still listen to Slippery When Wet in the car it is a 26 yr old album
Bon Jovi was and is a rock legend. I’ve been a fanatic since 1984 and never missed a concert tour since the beginning. I’m so glad you like them; Jon is a true artist, dedicated to his music, family, friends and fans, and a renowned philanthropist who has founded organizations to help the homeless, our veterans and many more. They don’t make them like Jon Bon Jovi anymore and never will. Hail to Superman!
Please check out In These Arms. The video was shot in Bethlehem PA and I was at the concert. It's a great song. One of my faves. Other great Bon Jovi songs are Blood on Blood, Blaze of Glory, Born to Be My Baby, Wild in the Streets and Living in Sin.
I enjoy the variety of musician reviews that I am now seeing. The music heritage is so rich that even experts have difficulty "plumbing" the depths of the whole of it.
The Bon Jovi never really got into drugs .. they partied but didn’t let it become a problem .. I think that’s part of the reason they stood the rest of time more than other bands back then .
Since you like this song, you would love his album Blaze of Glory. It’s songs he wrote and sang for the movie Young Gun 2, it’s about Billy the Kid so you get that rock music with a cowboy feel and it’s not country at all. By the way both movies, Young Guns 1&2, are good. They have some very well known actors.
Make sure to play this one for yall's kids and nieces/nephews. We def want the kinda Cowboy Spirit to continue, its the essence of America. Some of its bad, some of its good. But its us. I hope this song goes on in history.
LOVE Bon Jovi PERIOD!! Iconic!! Myself and my friends were in love with him(Jon, the lead singer 😍) Sooooo many HITS- this being a top favorite- Great guys too! And I don’t think they ever fell into the drug scene- I’m sure someone will clock me if I’m wrong...but I’m fairly sure-💖💙🤘🏼👍
I don’t think they did either, pretty sure they don’t do any drugs. It’s pretty obvious from the song that they did drink sometimes, but I don’t believe they were into doing drugs. They looked the way they did from pure exhaustion. They did a whole lot of touring during this time, so it makes complete sense for them to look the way they did.
It's actually a sad song if you listen to the lyrics. He's talking about being lonely, living life in a exhausting blur to please all these people who swarm him, but they don't care what all of this is doing to him as long as "they have him".
This Is a Class Song Bon Jovi Put Out Some Great Music In The 90's & 00's. You Should Check Out - Bad Medicine Born To Be My Baby Runaway Blaze Of Glory - Jon Bon Jovi Its My Life Have a Nice Day Keep The Faith Lay Your Hands On Me I'll Be There For You Bed Of Roses In These Arms The List Goes On.....
Yea this song is about that touring life and how everyone wants them no matter if they're dead or alive they Have to perform. When you are out touring that much, sure it is fun as hell! But there comes a point when it also become too much no matter how fun it is.
Masterpiece! I grew up in the 1980's, and before I heard this song I thought of BonJovi as just another HAIRBAND, but I gained a new respect for them after hearing this.
One of the best songs from one of the best rock bands ever made. The movie is Young Guns. Great movies! This song sounds like a western gun fight. I'm so glad y'all reacted to it! Great reaction!
OMG I love Bon Jovi---- Saw them LIVE in 89 with Skid Row!!!! Jon Bon Jovi had a CAT WALK that spanned the arena to get to the people high up to see him!!! Everyone was smoking weed at that show just pass pass pass!!!!! Those were the days --- MISS THE 80'S! I WAS PREGGO WITH MY FIRST BORN SON! DAMN HE WILL BE 32 LOL I HAD MY ASS AT THE STAGE ROCKIN!!!!
Saw them in Pullman, Washington during the same concert tour, Slippery When Wet. That scaffolding really impressed me. Giving the balcony a front row seat for a song. That is called pleasing your fans. The stage was bare also so you could see them doing there thing. They are such a class act.
@@papamaniac2410 Yes it was wicked! I saw them in Shreveport, LA Herch Memorial Coliseum .... Most concerts back then I went to was in Dallas... Ac/Dc Tesla Metallica 2 times Poison I missed several working but they were all rocking!!!! I think Ac/Dc was MY FAV!!!!!!!! My brother though hit all of them in Dallas... He had every T-Shirt from bands back then and those Silk Banners all over LOLLL Metallica was his Jam!
I know what you mean, guys.. this is a fave of mine as well. Just puts you in a mood. You should check out the opening credits to the film Harley Davidson & The Marlboro Man, cool scene. Pls check out next Bon Jovi' s Bad Medicine. Sooo Fun!
Saw them in concert a couple of times about 30 years ago. Concerts were so much fun then! My mom, who is now 73, was in love with Jon Bon Jovi at that time. She always told my dad, whom she was married to, that if she ever got on his tour bus she was never coming back😂
If your liking the guitarist Richie Sambora and still want more Bon Jovi, try “Dry County (live in Wembley)” but Richie also has a few solo albums out too. Outside of his bonjovi stuff 👍🏻
Yeah these type of songs always remind me of those fine ol Western songs from those good ol western films. Bon Jovi liked doing those. Jon Bon Jovi also did a western type song for Young Guns II(Blaze of Glory). That one is great too. 👍 I love most of all Bon Jovi songs but my fav is from 2000, It's My Life Kind of put em back in the scene and was like ya It's 2000s but we not dead yet.
I saw them live on this tour. :) Over the years sometimes I just say lyrics in this song in a normal conversation in a normal tone of voice. It's kind of fun. "I walk these streets, a loaded six string on back." or "I've seen a million faces, and I've rocked them all." There really is no place in a conversation that this makes sense, but it's kind of funny to add them in. Most people know what you are quoting and chuckle.
I was fortunate enough to get to see this live and it was such an AMAZING concert. Seen them 2 more times after that tour and they were always like a BIG Party atmosphere. High energy the whole night and you left drenched in sweat and tired as h#ll. Love and Hugs to you guys.💜💙💚👍
I only know their hits, but this is easily their best song I know, and an even better song about the grind of the touring life than Turn the Page, which is saying a lot. Turn the Page is a must if you haven't done it. For another clean Jovi song check out his solo tune Blaze of Glory.
