you still have to think about while listening that the sound engineering behind this, is just genious the tracks get ripped appart in pieces and as faster and brutal you fight, as heavier and more brutal it will become you can't say enough how good that is :D

Generally speaking, the mixes on Koma are better since they are game rips instead of official audios. When Mic makes these songs, they re each 15-20 minutes long with many segments (these songs have to be varied and dynamic for entire levels of the game). The studio chops them down majorly to condense it into the official audio. Game rips are longer and include more segments from Mic’s original audio

Meathook and Cultist Base are technically fully mixed and complete from start to finish and are what they would’ve been even if Mick had the time to finish mixing the soundtrack. In an alternate universe where Marty didn’t put his dick in Mick’s mouth, Cultist Base and Meathook would still be this.

There’s a remastered soundtrack of doom eternal that makes all the songs flow together into the one long song the the follow up song to cultists base is super sick. Same as cultists base just much faster tempo and hits.

Harhar, i snuck in here via the playlist. Stoinks early content. Cultist base is my favorite. In terms of mixes, I'm not an expert.. But you could totally react to some of the comparisons people have uploaded, they did Mick real dirty on the official release. Complete flatline on dynamic range, it's tragic.

Also game ost have different rules than conventional music. Like they must have loop point, because not everybody have same pacing when playing video game. So they need to loop some part of the soundtrack and sync with the action of the player

Koma's mix of Super Gore Nest showcases all of the source material for it but it's a little messy. He's highly favoured and I love him as well - especially for the DLC mixes - but if you're looking for something more structured instead of one that uses all of the source material, I recommend checking out the_kovic's mix which I believe is closer to Mick's mixing. But hey! The people are asking for Koma and he doesn't disappoint either

All Doom Eternal music from Koma is great, can always listen to those. In either case, it's much better to listen to version that got released ~half a year after Doom Eternal's release. Also, Mick is the master of drop teasing... :D

Koma's mixes are your best way to listen to DOOM Eternal songs that weren't mixed by Mick himself. I insist you listen to Koma's version of Super Gore Nest, it's a few minutes longer and in my opinion has better flow. The official release of SGN is too repetetive for my taste.

Def Koma's Mix of Super Gore Nest. OST Version is repetitive and boring. Doesn't include all of the best pieces that are in the game itself. Koma mixed sound files from the game so his mix contains all of the amazing riffs and chill ambients combined do they flow seamlessly. Also i have no idea why people voted on OST version. 100% sure they have never listened koma's mix. Also my general advice. If song wasn't mixed by Mick, always listen to Koma's mix.

Ngl doom vr was quite a letdown, it’s hard to capture the intensity from the actual game and put into a VR game that limits your movement

@@kritzTheVicious With VR games getting more and more advanced, it's entirely possible they could make a VR DOOM much more faithful to the original. Obviously it likely won't be within the next year, but after Half Life: Alyx, who knows?
